As we approach our 100th cache, this one caught my eye! For number 99 cache we wanted something with significance to us. I was born and raised in Adelaide and I loved the backstory of the street layout which links Darwin and Adelaide. Thanks for the great information and for placing this cache ️
A significant location for our 100th cache. 20 years ago I used to come to Darwin twice a year from Perth, for work in the marine electronics industry, servicing commercial fishing vessels. It was a hugely thriving industry with over 600 fishing vessels in the prawn and scallop fleets. Now days it is only a tiny slice of what it was, it has been a death by 1,000 cuts with too many numerous factors to name.
Life moves on and so have we. Enjoying a week of holidays and leisure with no work commitments this time. Thanks for placing this cache where we have many memories! The photo is just one of the many activities that we have enjoyed this week, no relation to the cache. There was no crocs in the duck pond that we could see today

On a week’s holiday to Darwin (hopefully we won’t get locked out of WA while we’re here by Mr McGowan!) we found our first NT cache. Fun and easy TFTC ️

Used the hint to make it quick and be a bit more covert with muggles around. Nice hide, TFTC! ️
Time to reminisce about many, many hours spent in the helo (helicopter) while on deployment with the RAN. There is a fair collection of military equipment at this museum, and then a spot of fun finding the cache. TFTC ️

Nearly checked it straight away then went back after another 10 minutes Nice one. Log is full, found some room on the side to write. TFTC!!
A nice stroll in the chilly late afternoon. Our first redback encounter whilst geocaching. Redback relocated so she scored and so did we. TFTC ️
