Logs for Synlapse

14-May-14
Beautiful night for a short geocache outing with my son Ben. Full moon, a balmy 10 degrees and no wind to speak of. The hint was good but also misleading as it seems to be magnetic now.

25-Apr-14
I have been watching this and it is clear that it has been muggled as we spent a long time trying to find and everyone since has failed.

21-Apr-14
Some horrid swaps in here. Some fetid chewing gum, seashells and a piece of chewed plastic. Took out the gum and shells and added some orange bracelets. TFTC

Has been left open and the log book is sodden. TFTC

Nice cache. Easy find by Ben. BYO pen or leave a Keno pencil for the next cacher.

Found by youngest geoboy. TFTC Nice hint.

20-Apr-14
Lovely spot out of the wind. 3rd of the day. Trickier than the others. Geodaughter found a spot out of the sun to read her book and said ' are you guys looking for a red lunch box? Problem solved! TFTC

Nice one. TFTC An easy one if u use the hint. Smile

TFTC Fair amount of activity nearby due to Easter Sunday. Youngest picked up reasonably discretely. First cache of our tour.

Ben found this one. Four caches and an 18 k walk. Good family exercise. TFTC

Nice cache! TFTC

11-Apr-14
Found it with Ben. Nice hide. Didn't take too long. TFTC. Btw, there is no pen. We didn't have one spare but will drop one off when we get a chance.

Found this one a while ago with the kids. Went and found it again today and signed the log. TFTC

Loved it! Very clever. TFTC

05-Apr-14
TFTC. Youngest son played a soccer game nearby so we thought we would pick up a local cache. Nice cache. Smile

Found it but forgot to bring a pen. Took a photo but need to figure out how to upload it. Really nice cache. My boy wanted to take a helmet/bus widget but he didn't have a swap. We went back to his grandparents place, he grabbed a string armed monkey and rushed off for the swap.

Nice cache setup. TFTC Lovely little hidden park.

A little bit tricky. Like the camo! TFTC

04-Apr-14
Spent a good long while with my three kids and wife and must say this one defeated us. Sad Saw a place about 10 m away from where GPS was telling me GZ was but there was only a piece if wood with some electrical tape on it.

My 10 year old was wandering around near the railway fence line 50 metres away and got stung by a wasp. That ended the searching but we had given up anyway.

Sorry if this is duplicated, got a 404 when I last logged this.

Found the logbook on the ground soaking wet. Not sure what to do with it so I hid it under a rusty 2kg toothed flywheel at the base of the tree. Looks like it is a nice tree for kids to play in and they probably found it and discarded it. Did not see the cache container.

01-Apr-14
Great lunchtime walk. Paid the troll, signed the log. TFTC The log is nearly full. Might be time for some maintenance. High muggle vehicle activity.

Needs a new logbook. The old one is running out of space. TFTC

30-Mar-14
Went down with Redledge Pass with my two boys to take a shot at it from the Western side. Finally found it. Smile Was a tricky find but got there in the end. TFTC. Ben swapped trinkets. I must say after spending two consecutive weekends in Rennies Tunnel I won't be disappointed if I never get there again.

26-Mar-14
Tried to find on Sunday 23 March with my wife and three young Scouts. Went in from the eastern side and out via Nellies Glen.

Unfortunately DNF. Sad

We are locals so will try next weekend.

First Geocache find. Smile

DNF on first attempt going down through the Devils Hole. Lost our satellites and abandoned search before we could pick them up. This time we came from the locked gate at Narrow Neck down Redledge Pass onto the Six Foot Track, Waterboard ladders track then the Devils Hole. A fantastic walk and thoroughly recommended.

Cache was not too hard to find. Off the track a bit but in a fairly logical place if you thought about it. Was a set of spectacles in there that we left??? TNLNSL Btw, Devils Hole is best approached by serious bushwalkers or with people that know the area. It is tricky and easy to lose the track.

My kids are scouts and they are hooked. Looking forward to finding some more.
