We are temporarily disabling this cache as it's apparently been damaged. We'll bring it back on line once we have had a chance to check it out. In the mean time if you're in the area don't hesitate to call in and check out the area - The Thunderbirds

Following an inspection of the Cache by "Havago" the cache was found to be in good condition although the grass was very long - If you're going to look for this Cache be prepared to deal with long speer grass for the last 15 metres to GZ

The Washpools area has had a couple of floods recently and apparrently the cache has been damaged. Usually there is only a trickle of water in the creek and the cache would never go under. I'm temporerily disabling the cache until I can go and check it out however this could take a while as I've moved 400Kms away. If your interested however the area is still worth a visit and is worth an overnight camp
27-Feb-05
This is Grassy Hill Trig - Elivation is 520 Metres Found this trig about a kilometre off the Wilberforce to Singleton (Puty) Road in NSW. Was able to drive to within 50 metres of the trig and climb the rest of the way.

Thang god for GeoCaching - often it's the only way to find out about the best kept secrets and this is certainly a good example of that. There is no sign on the main road and only a small sign on the side track. It's almost like they don't want anyone to find the Hands on Rocks site. So glad we took the time to take a look. Thanks Alex and Jock - So glad you knew about this spot - Oh yea - Took Nothing -Left Nothing
23-Feb-05
Great spot to spend a couple of hours taking photos. Great spot for a cache - except of course if it's been raining for a couple of days - yep we got wet feet. easy find though. Took nothing - Left TB Piers Pelican (450646). Great spot for a Pelican - Cleanest water in australia with the best views

Found this cache late in the day cause we spent too long exploring the park along the way, which didn't leave us time to get our third cache for the day so we've already decided to return and finish the job we started. We would never have guessed that these were snow gums. They seemed to be too tall and straight - not at all like the twisted, stunted form that we usually associate with snow gums. The GPS got us within about 6 metres but that still meant we had to check about a thousand good hiding spots. Thanks again Bronze and Mix 76. Twas lots of fun - Took a PinBall Game - Left a Unique Tow Ball Cover
Wow what a spot - Thats the great thing about caching - It draws you to places that you would never otherwise know about. We travelled 600 Km to explore this park and pick up a couple of caches along the way. As we wandered through this "forest" in absolute amazement we agreed it was worth it.Thanks for sharing this place with us its amazing. Oh yea almost forgot - the cache - took nothing left nothing. A note to others - the only way into the park is from Coolah. The track in from the Merriwa Road is closed. Once again THANKS

This is TAMWORTH TRIG on top of Flagstaff mountain near Tamworth NSW. We stopped here on the way to "Raise The Standard" Cache. My GPS showed an elevation of 832 metres. Great views and came across quite a bit of wildlife on the way up
Lovely spot and would never have known it existed if not for this cache. Great place for a free camp but don't plan on swimming cause the water is freezing. While in the area check out the local cemetary which has an interesting history which includes links with the original "Ashtons" from Ashtons Circus
This was quite a climb on a hot day but we were well prepared. Turned out to be more interesting than we had reckoned on. Saw 2 Kangaroos, an Echidna, a Blue Tongue Lizard and some kind of small Marsupial Thingy - no snakes luckily. Fabulous view from the top. We took some oil burner candles and left a pair of sunglasses, some post it notes and a ping pong ball. Also replaced the log book bag as it was covered in highlighter ink - Thanks Howyagoin - well worth the climb
Found it. Took a CD and left a CD, McDonalds toy and a White Board Also picked up Travel Bug No 450646

Two of our team came in from 60Km north and 1 from 300 Km South. We met here especially to look for this cache, for no real reason other than we wanted to find it. One thing you gotta admit - The continuous miner at the entrance to the park is a mean looking bit of gear. Easy find
16-Oct-04
This is MORAN Trig Elevation is 146 Metres. Its located about 50 metres off the western side of the Putty road which runs from Windsor to Singleton in NSW. The Trig is an easy find however the Top marker is missing
30-Sep-04
Took a while to find this Cache because the GPS took us to the edge of a small cliff line so we had to decide whether to search along the top or bottom. Naturally we picked the wrong one first. Water level in the dam was very low so lots of trees showing - Picked up an X-Files DVD and left lots of stuff to fully refill the Cache - See you round Rats

LEFT A TRAVEL BUG BORG DRONE here. This is not a cache for the GeoGranny since losing your footing could be a bit serious but otherwise it’s a great little walk. Took some good photos for the GeoAlbum. Pity about the freeway noise in the background. While filling in the log book I was visited by some very friendly Crimson Rosellas – keep an eye out for them. Took the mobile phone pouch left sun glasses, water bombs post it notes --- Thanks 2 Dogs
Visited the falls this afternoon and signed the visitor’s book. Unfortunately the falls are now fed by a controlled flow from Fitsroy Reservoir just up stream so the flow never changes. What a magnificent sight it must have once been after heavy rain. The Lyre Birds were busy beside the path to the falls
Did this one alone. Now we all know that the Forest Of Fear murderer is in jail but was there an accomplice and where is he. The further in I walked the more I asked this question and pondered over the possibilities. A GeoCache – perfect spot for a murder – you don’t even have to force the victim into the bush – they walk there all by themselves. Took the octopus strap – looked over shoulder - left a pocket knife – looked over shoulder - and some post it notes – looked over shoulder - Signed the book etc etc then “shot†thru --- Thanks 2 Dogs
Found the starting point ok - and the second point was about as hard to find as a light house on a dark night. Eventually decoded everything – I thought, but it made no sense. Decided to have a better look around it and came across one bit I had overlooked the first time round – That gave me a bearing at least. It was then I realised that I have been past the probable hiding spot while wandering along this track before so I dispensed with the GPS thing and found it easy. Took the mug (great mug) and left a mobile phone pouch with some post it notes inside. --- Thanks Rabid Response – very clever indeed – seems so perplexing till you crack it then it suddenly all seems so obvious

Got here late in the day – found the cache easily but unfortunately didn’t have time to have a good look around so will have to return some other time. Fabulous views – worth the trip up the hill just to admire the view. Thanks Hoop Snakes
Well as you drive along the road there’s clearly nothing remarkable about this spot– WRONG – There should be a dirty great sign saying AMAZING ROCK FORMATION – you can drive right to it – Without this cache we would never have known about this. Found it easy – Nice container as it blends in to the background. Was a bit damp inside so we sat it a bit more upright. Took nothing (except Photos) and left nothing. Thanks Mix
The Thunderbirds Rug Rat Actually found this one – His First. You have to wonder how can it be possible to hide a cache where hundreds and sometimes thousands of people wander right by. Does no one think to throw it out? Guess we’ve become used to seeing rubbish placed like this. You can however start to attract attention as you wander around kicking the grass and studying the trees, and of course trying to get up to look on the roof – Nope it ain’t up there – THANKS MIX
Sneaky Sneaky Sneaky Hoop Snakes – Well, having a mind that’s sharp as a tack when it comes to finding hidden meaning in the clues I immediately recognised the bit about look for the microwave oven and issued the instruction “where looking for a microwave tower†– yep there’s one over there – that’s gotta be it – what we’re 2 kilometres out – how can this be – We finally decided to follow the GPS – that was a good move. Easy to find once you know what your looking for. Picked up the TRAVEL BUG No 472979 – Taking good care of it - it's on it's way to the southern highlands – Thanks Hoop Snakes - Ps Log Book was signed as Tigger

Found it - and they said it could be missing in action. This is our first Cache but certainly not our last. The Cache is nicely placed out of direct sight but still able to be seen if you look directly at it. Took nothing and left nothing - Had nothing to leave - Gotta start carrying some goodies in my pack. Did cart out some beer bottles
