Busy with end of fin year stuff so late logging this one. Went the long way and had terrible reception, not a skerrick after leaving the carpark, but the name and clue made it striaght forward. Lovely walk and loved by us especially the 3 yr old.

Had a realisation the other night and as I had a job in the area had an early lunch to swing by this morning.

I was in the wrong area before and this time had no problems finding the right spot. There is a wee bit a bush bash more a bush brush past to get to cache and it was a bit slippy. Cache was very well hidden and I did my best to replicate it upon return. probably best to have done it this is a bit steep for my toddler and she wouldn't have stayed on the track.

Great fun to find this one and the bird chorus was lovely. thanks for a fun one.

With the nice weather I took the day off to get out and have a play with my daughter. This is a favourite spot so seemed like a good option.

Couldn't get any signal close to gz. 50m away from one direction and a 80 the other. Had a look were dead reckoning took me and used the clue scouring a few of those to no joy. Puller the pin after almost an hour of back and foward and the little one was getting due a nap.

Had a look a the spolier back home and while I think I had a quick look at that one it wasn't my focus so looks like another trip!

It's a beutiful walk regardless.

Been home with a sick toddler for a while but had a meeting near by and time was on my side.

Signal was pretty terrible but the clue halped me hone in easily. Although the office shoes didn't help much!

out warship in race car.

Amazing range of graves around was worth a wander through just for the stories they held.

Was a nice day so took the family down to long bay. My daughter is going through a train phase so the ride in the park is ideal. Only managed to do this one as after a few hours in the playground and a couple of trips on the train she was headed for a crash quick. Nice hiding place although reached in with some trepidation.
In pink star toy out wee dog & TB know just the place for this!

Thought it was about this time this one got a visit.

The old coppermine is great site so I've had me eye on this one. The flat where the cache is was a whim (a horse drawn winch essentially) for hauling spoil out of the shaft nearby. That drops about 30m to the water level and then another 40 or so to the bottom of the mine. An interesting spot for our local history.

Looks like the cache might have been muggled though. The last entry in the log is attached and while that says he took a dogtag the Tb was no where to be seen. Otherwise nothing untoward.

Was a lovely day so knocked off a bit early and went up the track. GPSr was terrible under the canopy and had walked right past by 100m or so before I realised. Had a hard time finding due to the lack of fix but got there in the end. I had to use the clue and had a good look around a few of the indicated items. It was when I got back to the first one I saw a hint of the container nearby.

Nice cache. Took some looking and it ws tucked away quite nicely. Fun little cache especially trying to find it without looking dodgey. A broken car window in the carpark looked like it was from today.

Good fun wacthing the kite boarders out in Army bay

Stopped off for lunch and thought I'd go looking for this one afterwards. I was suprised to find it a few metres away when I thought it was much much further. Fun find for a first one for the wife and little one.
Added to the chain. Thanks for the fun

[Had an opprotunity to look for this one today. Went to the spot and found what looked like the perfect hising spot but nothing there. Used the clue which seemed to reinforce whereI thought it would be.]

There was a hole between a rock and a pohut that went back a wee way. Looked like an ideal spot but nothing in it. There was a trackin tunnel a metre or so away but the vollies checking that wouldn't have looked in there. Hole smelt strongly of bird droppings though.

Another beautiful day and was in the area at the right tide. Nice little hidey hole that the grass made a bit more hidden. grass pollen gave the sinus a bit of a work out to boot.

Had a nice walk around the old Pa workings as well. This whole island was a major defended village in it's day!

Carpark has been clogged up with road works for a while but cleared out today. Nice walk out. GPSr wouldn't pick up in this weather but description gave a good enough steer. TNLNSL

My first ever cache. It had to be this one just a few hundred metres from the office. Great walk around and a leasson in not making assumptions.
