03-Oct-13
logging TWO DNFs, one from Fathers Day weekend, and another today...

TOTALLY forgot to log it originally Sad sorry!

Took Ms. TFA's little brother and sister out for a caching run, to try introduce the game to a new generation ha ha. Spent about 30 mins looking at this time, and not one of our 7 strong team could lay our eyes (or greedy little hands) on the prize. Looked high and low, near and far, double checked and rechecked any where we could think of. All to no avail. Oh well, we will be back to get this one, as the parents only live down the street

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today Mr TFA1 and Ms TFA took another dip at this one. GPS seems to move around A LOT even using two phones :/ spent another 45 mins looking and still could not find. Cache either hasn't had a visitor, or people (like me oops D= ) who havent logged a DNF. No hint doesnt help, even something as small as what the container is. Still another day, and we shall find it.

Any chance that the CO might be able to confirm that the cache is still there? And hasnt been muggled :/ Thanks Smile

After a quick search on the wrong side, cache was quickly found, nice hide, good work Smile log not signed cos this was an impromptu cache run, and we forgot our pen Sad

Wow! That certainly is tiny! Great hide!

Couldn't sign log, tftc

Third find for GeoNephew today

Did need the clue however, as gps was playing up and coords had us a few metres off, but none the less, told nephew to look for THE CLUE near the trees, and withing 3 minutes, had cache in hand.

Fantastic hide, nephew said "wow thats a clever one, a very clever *clue*" ha ha ha Smile

i think i might have created a monster lol

Nice little hide Smile quick find whilst waiting for an interview for 2/3 of TFA.AUS Smile

Found it! Awesome hide Smile
Although did need the clue to find it Smile well thought out, ran into a fellow cacher, who has been searching for a year! She left before we made our discovery tho Sad nimble fingers, or small hands DEFINITELY helped ha ha Smile TTF (with clue) 5mins 1735 4/9/13

Find 3 of 6 on introducing TFA.AUS's family to GeoCaching, although at night probably isnt the BEST idea Smile

GeoNephew found this one quite quickly and easily and Uncle TFA had a good idea where it might be, so suggested he look there, his first ever find by himself, nearly screamed the place down with "I FOUND IT, I FOUND IT!!!" echoing across the nearby skate park

Swapped smiley face badge for the VicPol badge at GeoNephews request

Stop #2, find #2 of 6 for the night, Intro to GeoCaching for TFA.AUS's family

nicely creative hide there, well hidden, took a little while to find it, probably because we went at night.
found by GeoSis, who laughed when she found it, retreated to car, SL, returned cache

GeoNephew swapped one of his prized Lego men for a smiley face badge

Left the trackable "Rikki" for someone else to find and carry on its adventure a bit further Smile

stop 6 of 6 during TFA.AUS introducing his family to GeoCaching

searched in the darkness, just TFA and GeoNephew

No luck after 10 mins, plus was getting late, but will be back to find it another day... This is the area i grew up in, so its fun to find (or refind) places that bring back memories, or even being surprised by the fact a GeoCache is somewhere i used to spend a lot of time Smile

TFTC, even tho i havent found it yet

Stop 5 of 6 on Intro to GeoCaching for TFA.AUS's family

unfortunately, after 15-20 mins of looking at what im sure was GZ, nothing was to be found, other then a spider on TFA's shoulder, and him swallowing a little flying bug :/

GeoNephew was a little disappointed but loved the impromptu 2 hour adventure playing find the treasure

TFA.AUS second consecutive night of caching, 4th consecutive day (since starting 4 days ago ha ha). Introducing GeoSis, GeoBro-in-Law, and GeoNephew to the wonderful world of GeoCaching.

took about 15 mins before a little brainwave hit GeoSis, and checked somewhere i wouldnt have thought of immediately, and BINGO!

Forgot our pen, but will head back tomorrow to sign log, might head out and see if we can hit another couple of GeoSis's local caches Smile

Think GeoNephew is hooked now, he's begging us to go to more and more parks! ha ha ha Big Grin

TFA.AUS + Family Intro to caching, at night Smile
find 4 of 6 of the night.
Found by a very excited GeoNephew

Just a word of warning, there was a redback "camping" right near GZ, so just take care when retrieving, although no spiders were seen when cache is hidden

Didn't get a chance to log this yesterday, introducing the mid teen sister to GCing, had a bit of a time trying to find the mural, co-ords are a fair way off, ended up asking locals where the statues, mural and star walk were, from there was a fairly easy find even though there was a decent amount of muggle foot traffic, a sneaky grab, say down for ice cream, TNLNSL, then a sneaky ninja replace so as not to be seen Smile TFTC think we might have converted another muggle Smile

30-Aug-13

Got the clue, whilst walking to GZ Smile nice hide, picked it immediately as I walked up, figured on th walk there what the clue might mean, turns out I was right Smile

Find 5 of 5 for the day, home time now Smile

Took some searching but we did it! 3/3 for our first night cache session Smile this one is probably better to do in the day just because it's a little spooky Smile

After deciding to go for a wonder at night, bored at the mother in laws with my partner, we decided to do our first night cache session. After a quick walk on the beach to avoid the nosy house occupants, we found it after a bit of a search Smile first beach and night cache find - thanks for the gorgeous view Smile took the geocoin and will leave around our home base or ballarat Smile

Good little hiding spot, fairly obvious to those in the know. 2/2 on our cache night run - one more and then home to bed Smile

TFA.AUS's first trackable pick up Smile swapped "Rikki" for a Marilyn Munroe tin

Nice neat little hiding spot Smile 16.57
