Logs for The Panky Pack

05-May-13
Waited for ages, ferry missing.

Beautiful view of river and lagoon from here, Thanks.
Took pendant
Left ring

13-Apr-13
Loved the mechanism.
Took small necklace, left blue jumping frogs.
Thanks for the fun find.

Beautiful spot for some photos here. Thanks

Teensiest cache we've seen.
Thanks.

The name got us close

14-Aug-05
A brief timeout to let me get everything dry - should be back in action in a week or so.

Cheers.

10-Oct-04
We've been kinda distracted for a bit, but are back in action now, checked all was OK today on the way back from the sunny Riverland and added a few new goodies.
Enjoy Big Grin

29-May-04
It's a small world, we'd been here for the first time ever just a few weeks ago for a lacrosse game.
We had nothing suitable on board so TN & LN.
Thanks.

We found the trick to this one was all in the timing Smile
We took a US dollar coin, and left a star shaped brooch.
Thanks from the whole Pack.

as we got closer we wondered if it could really be in there... sure enough SmileWe took a Bob The Builder PEZ dispenser, and left a rope digital watch thingey.
Thanks.

My apologies again to the robot, but the cache had to be grabbed and written in.
A fun one where we took a badge, and left a sinker & roll of tape.
Thanks.

" but that's impossible " they said.... and then promptly found it Big Grin
From this cleverly hidden one we took a retractomathingamybob, and left a magnetic phone holder
Thanks.

Really clever way of hiding this one - we only felt a little furtive wandering in the bushes listening to rustlings on the other side of the fence.
TN & LN
Thanks

Ok... we must have missed something - where did that name come from ?
A very clever disguise here, but trial and error led to success.
We took the 2 buck note, and left a rope watch. (had a hard time convincing the kids that the note was ever real money)
Thanks.

Mum and the kids tackled one whilst dad investigated the nearby high-tech wonder Red Face
The lovely smells made us all look forward to lunch.
We took a dolphin bottle opener, and we left a fan brooch.
Thanks.

We felt lucky that we had an agile 11 yr old with us as we dodged the traffic and retrieved this one.
A bit of a milestone, our 50th cache ever ... WOOHOO !!!!!
We took a namesake, and left some cable ties and cutters.
Thanks.

Even after having resorted to the clue we still thought this one had earnt it's difficulty stars Smile
Whilst dodging ducks we took a magnifying glass and left a bottle opener keyring.
Litle Miss 2 loved the friendly ducks.
Thanks.

23-May-04
Even after finding the treasure we spent ages here, the kids taking full advantage of the facilities. Being a very popular spot on a Sunday afternoon we had to pick our moments for grab, then hide.
Not having anything suitably small we TN & LN.
Thanks from the whole pack.

Wow - never experienced those from this perspective before, an amazing sight that had the kids awestruck.
TN, Left key to the safe (OK, well I have no idea really - but it might beWink)
Thanks.

We too expected the GPSr to be flaky with all that canopy, but I had forgotten the kids abilities to walk straight to the spot. A cool container with special features to prevent water getting in.
TNLNSL - Thanks for the stroll.

22-May-04
We knew this one was somewhere near where the lacrosse game was this morning - so we planned a detour on the way home.
GZ itself was almost as well hidden as the info we neededBig Grin
All doubt about accuracy now dispelled through confimation email from GPS.
Thanks from Shane, Callum, & Jackson

You can chalk the Panky Pack as another team that had to devote some time and thought to the "secret number"
It's nice to pick up a reward like this for ones efforts, the littluns' thank you Smile
Took: flat coin
Left: lego man
Thanks from the whole Pack.

Thanks for sharing your family with us, spent ages wandering around after we'd found this one.
We left Wrasslin' Man TB here for a rest, and took a "Fart Bag"
Thanks again.

17-May-04
We decided that being out cacheing in the rain was better than sitting inside getting cabin fever Smile The kids always seem to head straight for these ones which was a bonus today.
Thanks from the whole pack.

A hint for those to come after.... on a rainy day it get's fairly slippery on all ground other than the track - as evidenced by mud covered clothes and the kids hysterical laughter Big Grin
Had nothing with us today so TN & LN - thanks for bringing us to another little environment hidden away in the big smoke.

If our calculations were correct, it looks as though stage 2 along with the key to the rest of the stages is right in the middle of an excavation for drains or similar Sad
Pls let us know if we were just on the wrong track.
Thanks.

The way in wasn't as simple as it seemed from the street directory Wink In the rush to get loaded up and on the way out hunting the cache bag got left behind, so TNLN other than a "Keynote" which I hope serves to inspire someone.
Thanks from all of the Pack.

15-May-04
The GPSr told me this one was not too far away from the cache we'd just found, it was a nice day, and we were in the mood Smile Loved the old building next to GZ, a shame it seems to be no more than a warehouse these days.

Took: Japanese Coin
Left: roll of electrical tape & bouncy ball.

Thanks from Shane, Jo, Callum, Jackson, & Hannah

Only the occasional rider passing by to be wary of - would be really hard trying to find this one discreetly around Christmas time me thinks Wink

Took: Penny
Left: Collector coin

Thanks from Shane, Jo, Callum, Jackson & Hannah

09-May-04
An early morning cache that only one of the littluns wanted to come searching for with dad. Had never been around this side before, it's quite the camping ground setup.
Took: keychain torch
Left: sinker & swivel (perfect for callop Smile), and bottle opener (perfect for opening the beers necessary for waiting for callop Big Grin)
Thanks.

We had a great time just getting to this one - a great walk, really pointing out how special this area was that I'd previously thought of a just the bush.
Took: Carabiner
Left: Nail Clippers
Thanks from Shane & Jackson

08-May-04
A great place to stop and stretch our legs after the drive from Adelaide. After finding the cache we went upstairs - sitting back down in the car was a relief after that Smile
Took: orange plastic monster
Left:sunglasses cord, roll of electrical tape.
Thanks.

The warnings about tackling this one at night were firmly in my mind as I launched into the search for this one - at night Smile Lucky I swapped for a little keyring torch at the last cache ! Good to find a nice big one hidden in a great spot.
Took: pens
Left: cable ties
Thanks.

We walked for a bit to find this one - didn't want to get stuck down the track with a trailer on the back and nowhere to turn around. Once again the kids ability to walk straight to the spot amazed me, they have a finely tuned hide & seek sense I suppose Big Grin
Took: keychain torch
Left: 12v trouble light
Thanks.

02-May-04
We did a bit of walking about to bag this one - after being careful not to wake the fellow who'd set up camp, we headed to the other side and were similarly frustrated before it all clicked Wink
Took: half penny
Left: Magic Mountain token
Thanks.

Happy to report .... It's still there Big Grin Came to GZ couldn't find it, went for a stroll and had "just one more look" on the way back to the car.
Took: funny money
Left: two bouncy balls
Thanks.

We overshot the botanical park a bit with this one.. but not much. Very clever camo - rain ensured we were quick.
TNLN
Thanks Smile

It was dark, it was wet, it was cold .... but we found it !
Some great clues built into that description Wink
Took: blue face paint
Left: bubble blowing mixture

Thanks.

01-May-04
Thanks TeamLangy for one of the most enjoyable cache's we've found - all that math though - sheesh Big Grin

Took: Wrasslin' Man TB (left him alone when we found him in our No vacancy cache a while back but thought we better help him along this time)
Left: Bubble blowing mixture

Thanks again from all of The Panky Pack.

26-Apr-04
Big Grin WOOHOO - AT LAST !! Big Grin
Our way home from the last cache took us past here, so we thought why not have another look... An attribute we noticed in a differenct cache made us look a little differently this time.
We kept our ears open for passing tooters this time LOL
Took: tattoo stickers
Left: Skull keyring (from a bottle of insanely hot chilli sauce)
Thanks from the Panky Pack.

A good hiding space is probably much appreciated by some not too far from here Big Grin. Found this one with a bit of slippin' and a slidin'.
Took: nothing
Left: bouncy ball

Thanks from the Panky Pack.

These locations with nearby playgrounds are perfect for keeping the little one amused Smile
Took: hole punch
Left: padlock
Thanks for another great park.

This cache container is without a doubt the most original, lovingly crafted piece of work we've seen yet. All was nice and quiet on this Anzac day holiday making sneakiness simple Wink
Took: corroded 9v battery
Left: butterfly tattoos

Thanks from the Panky Pack

23-Apr-04
This one was a good reminder of how important it is to take note of the clues Smile
We added some pages to the log that should suffice for the next 5 visitors or so and replaced the electrical tape holding things together as it was lacking in the sticky department.
Took: Batman badge
Left: padlock
Thanks.

Really happy that we were taken to this spot - it's got everything you'd want for an outdoor picnic destination.
Surpised ourselves by getting all the clues right and going straight to GZ - a bit of a shame others have found messier uses for it as well.
Took: worry doll
Left: inflatable mask
Thanks.

We had a great wander around finding this one, being especially careful of the rather evil prickly bushes bordering much of the path we chose. Had a chuckle at the labelling Big Grin - a reference to the wrestler ?
Took: plastic leopard
Left: windmill
Thanks.

22-Apr-04
found by the Panky Pack by taking just a little detour on our way back to Adelaide from the great Ardrossan fishing expedition Smile
Took: windmill
Left: cable ties, bouncy ball
Thanks from Shane, Callum, & Jackson.

As soon as we turned off the main road to get to this one there were signs of the other use this area gets besides a great cache location !!
A fun track to follow - thought about engaging hubs at one stage, but didn't need 4wd in the end (just floaties)
Took: bubble mixture
Left: packet of seeds, bouncy ball
Thanks from Shane, Callum, & Jackson

21-Apr-04
found by The Panky Pack just a few hours after Team Piggy's visit. A nice stop on our way from Adelaide to Ardrossan.
took: green goop
left: padlock
Thanks from Shane, Callum, & Jackson.
