Logs for mc^2

1525: Well done Geowombats. Really enjoyed the drive from Darwin. A little out of the way but well worth the trip.

Loved the derivation of the name, very appropriate. After the drive and exploring the local historic site Hanna was a little tired but revived quickly when given the option of what to swap. Took stickers/body glitter, left Book Mark.

Stayed at Holiday Park 8.5km from Berry Springs called 'Tumbling Waters' - great spot for kids. Highly recommended. Free outdoor movies Wed & Sat, crockodile feeding 5:00pm daily (by the kids), close to many interesting activities. Good central location from which to explore Litchfield, Territory Wildlife Park, Berry Springs Nature Park, Darwin Crocodile Farm etc.

Found at 1550 on Mon 31/01/2005.

Surprised by two muggles who, as it turned out, were totally unaware of our activities. Just enjoying the view.

As locals we really enjoyed this series. Sweet Victory is aptly named and a relatively easy find once you decipher the clues. Looking forward to more of teamkittens caches.

Took lip balm and left camping thermometer.

Found at 1845. Beautiful evening for a nice long walk.

Much wildlife around including an echidna mentioned by a previous visitor.

This is the fourth clue found for Sweet Victory and I'm looking forward to going for it next weekend.

Took citronella (it was leaking and affecting the cache) and left Egyptian figure.

Thanks teamkittens, really enjoy your caches.

Found at 1700 with Geowombats - our second for the day.

Enjoyed the climb and the view. Took thermometer and left owl.

Like the way you camouflage your caches teamkittens. Haven't yet hidden one myself so it's good to get ideas.

Now have two clues towards Sweet Victory.

Many thanks.

Found at 1755 with Geowombats. Our third for the day.

Really enjoyed the ridge walk, especially with good company. That's three clues down and one to go.

Took Egyptian figure and left eraser/sharpener.

Looking forward to more teamkittens caches.

The two MC's (who make up mc^2) took one of their mums (a fit 82yo visiting from Switzerland) to find this one. Thanks Biggles Bear it was well hidden in a beautiful spot and the highlight of the day was that Maman found it!

Found at 6:45pm. Good weather. For future reference take a camera on a sunny day. We'll certainly be heading back to take a few arty shots.

Took embroided badge of Australia - soon to travel back to Switzerland and left Percival Platypus travel bug (441190).

Found at 1350 Thurs 14th Oct. Took bookmark, left Address book.

Really enjoyed the walk amongst the big trees. Learning more about the personal items needed when out in the bush.

Thanks maccamob - I look forward to other caches you have set up.

This was my last one for the day - on my home from the Grampians and running out of light.

Found 1900 Sat 9th Oct 2004. Took stamp, left eraser & sharpener.

Really enjoyed the trek.

Allow a good 3 hours for the return trip - being a novice Geocacher I assumed the '3 kms return' meant a round trip. Actually 6.5 kms according to the 'Southern Walks' map and quite steep terrain at times.

Up and down is only about 2½ hours however photo breaks, nature breaks (incredible wildlife) and puffing breaks (I'm an unfit 62y.o.) as well as finding and logging the cache can easily add another half hour.

Sitting on the summit was like sitting on top of the world. The view was breathtaking. Certailnly worth the climb.

Found at 1425 Saturday 9th October. Left whistle/keyring, took Owl.

Cache was empty except for log book.

A few muggles around at the time.

See photo taken near the cache.

Found 1810 Sat 9th Oct. TNLN.

Didn't realise it was quite so close to my previous find (photo shoot).

#3 for the day, I'm starting to like this game.

Found at 1830 Sat 9th Oct. Took ruler, left combination lock.

Another successful find on our first geocaching trip with the Geowombats. Cute name. Had a very nice drive out to the Gorge and Hot Springs afterwards.

Joint effort with Geowombats. Very clever cache. TNLN.

First ever cache! Went with the Geowombats and enjoyed the climb and the view. TNLN.
