We missed this one on arrival so went while waitong to check on on departure after a great 2 months in New Zealand. A fitting end to our visit. I placed my gps device by her feet.

It was a great birthday treat to walk up this volcano. We went up by the wilsons park track which got away from the crowds. The lava fields on the way were immense. It was a shame that the lava tunnels seem to be closed at present. Found with mr c on our travels from the uk thank you.

This is excellent. As someone else has stated the loop path is partially blocked. Best to go round anti clockwise and then cross over the tape for about 100m. Found with mr c on our travels from the uk
