Logs for Boeing737

01-Sep-24
Finally a to check this one after a recent log saying hinted item is gone. Holy Moly the whole place has been demolished and is currently being excavated. No prospect of replacing here. The container is definitely gone.

21-Aug-24
Archiving as this has clearly gone partly AWOL againTeam Boeing does not hide bisons in the ground. This cache was a bison within a fake rock, sitting next to a real rock at the base of the poplar statue.

01-Jul-24
Archiving this series. Will collect physical cache when I can

Archiving this one as there is a new fence in place and this area is now a busy suburb with multiple new homes overlooking GZ, not the rural location it was when the cache was first place

Archiving this series as part of it is persistently affected by flooding

Not sure why but I never received any notification of the reviewers earlier log on this. Oh well, nothing I can do now. The area has been subjected to persistent rain and flooding which is why I havent been able to check it.

Cache replaced.Despite waiting for darkness to replace this, there is a muggle in a nearby property seemingly suspicious of interest at the sculpture. Not surprising as there are some unpleasant teens that frequent the playground. But this may explain why the container has disappeared. If muggled again I will archive this hide.

17-Apr-24
Definitely sounds like this might be AWOL. I did try to check it last weekend but there were muggles nearby and it doesnt help that the weeds are up around the base of the sculpture as they could be hiding the container.

Wow, always wanted to attend a block party! Putting in my calendar. Will try to convince JetFuselage to join me.

30-Mar-24
Managed to convince JetFuselage to attend briefly today. Managed a quick catch up with a few Canberra geocachers. Looks like another fantastic event - thanks to the organisers - I am very sad I couldnt join in for more sessions. Will try to get back tomorrow to enjoy gadgets and some more caching.

11-Mar-24
Ive decided to archive this one as it disappears every time the council cleans up around the memorial. The nearby park is more busy now with a revamp by council which makes it harder to search for without looking super suspicious outside the park and pool.

05-Mar-24
Disabling due to DNFs. I have attempted to check this one on several occasions while in town but with repeated heavy rain this section of road has been largely closed for extended periods due to flooding. Possibly this one has washed away.

22-Dec-23
Sadly archiving this one as there are now signs up saying that the area is under surveillance and there appears to be a camera pointing towards GZ. Dont want any geocachers falling foul of the 99.

26-Nov-23
I will check this in a couple of weeks but skeptical that the log is full when it was replaced only a short time ago and there havent been many finds since.

07-Sep-23
New log added

Found on a day road flight to Wagga in our Suburb 737. Love these jets. Have sent the required photo.

A huge thank you to Minniek for replacing the damp log here, it is much appreciated!

25-Feb-23
Thanks for noting an issue here. Should be able to do a maintenance run in the next 3 to 4 weeks.

19-Feb-23
Hello, acknowledging the recent log noting a cute furry inhabitant at this cache. Please do not disturb the animal. A photo at GZ is sufficient to log. I will check this spot in a month or so when I’m next down and will see if there is an alternate location for the cache.

Thanks for all who attended, it was lovely to finally host an event in Australia!!

18-Dec-22
Checked here yesterday and there is now a letterbox on the road leading to the old train station. There is a throw down here, behind the letterbox. Not retrieving it as it's definitely not the cache I placed here and given the prevalence of no trespassing signs, clearly someone considers this area to be private land. I'm not sure this area is private land but not willing to upset any landholders with the placement of any of my caches, hence the decision to archive this one.

Thanks to all geocachers who came to this event.

It was an overcast cool day but thankfully no rain. And the BBQ worked which was such a relief! Had to contend with some cheeky magpies muggles who turned up before 9am and while our backs were turned jumped onto the picnic table and pecked open a packet of jam rolls which they proceeded to eat, LOL. We swatted them away and gave them the jam rolls which thankfully largely kept them occupied during the event.

I'm glad the bacon and eggs rolls went down well and thanks to WhiteChocolateMocha for cooking.

It was lovely to catch up with many geocachers I have not seen for a while. I will definitely try to attend more events in future and maybe even the odd weekend cache expedition.

Several geocachers won geocoins and everyone else was able to take some path tags with them.

Happy 22nd birthday geocaching.com! Thanks for all the wonderful experiences you have gifted to geocachers worldwide!

Cache replaced just now, it was missing. Lucky I had a spare of the same container!! Closer to the wood retaining wall now on the oval side of the garden. Happy hunting

Throw down was in place here (I don’t use bison tubes on fences here as they don’t stay waterproof). Someone obviously pinched my waterproof Smash soup container which I last placed here which is super annoying. so I’ve only left a small cheap plastic screw top sistema container here. Happy hunting!

Unfortunately wasn't able to retrieve the throw down as the farmer was on the roof of his shed and was eyeballing me most of the time. Zoomed in my replacement contained while his back was turned so hopefully he's none the wiser!

Thanks for hosting Kittykatch. It was lovely to catch up with everyone.

30-Nov-22
Thanks for hosting. I’ll be there!

20-Nov-22
Archiving this one because it is no longer a suitable location for a cache as it is upsetting nearby residents. Will look at a placement somewhere else.

15-Nov-22
I have been here a couple of times on the weekend to try to replace this one and each time have been eyeballed by a neighbour and haven't been able to deploy it. Will try again this week - possibly the neighbour is suspicious and might have removed the original container. If so, I will archive and find an alternate location.

29-Oct-22
So sorry for the delay here. I completely forgot about this needing maintenance. I will replace it in the next week

17-Oct-22
It has come to my attention that there may be another throwdown in position here. I will check to confirm when I am next travelling to the coast and if so, will remove the throwdown and replace again.

28-Aug-22
Cache replaced as it was missing. New type of hide here. Beware of construction traffic at GZ.

Replaced cache as it is no longer watertight. Happy hunting!

17-Aug-22
I will definitely replace this cache as soon as the construction vehicles are not parking here as it is part of a series which I will maintain. If I am unwell and can't get to it, I will ask another geocacher in the region to replace it for me

I will look for a better placement for this type of cache when I am next in town

Sorry, I have been sick the last month so have been unable to do any maintenance on my caches in that time. I'll just archive this one.

Sorry I have been sick and unable to check/replace. I should be able to do so in the next couple of weeks

30-Jul-22
Sounds like this is missing. Will hopefully be able to check it in the next week and replace.

18-Jul-22
Checked recently and there's still construction trucks and vehicles in the vicinity of the cache, making it difficult to replace. I will be down again in the next few weeks and hopefully can do so then.

Checked recently and this one is definitely missing. Considering whether to archive this one as the proximity to the road makes it difficult for anyone to stealthily find this one.

01-Jun-22
Sounds like this one is missing and construction trucks are coming through here continuously with the construction of the Bega to Tathra bike path. Might need to move this one slightly so as to not attract undue attention…

Sounds like this one is AWOL. Temporarily disabling until I can check this one and replace if necessary

27-Mar-22
Floods will definitely not affect this cache. Decipher the hint and you’ll know where to look.

11-Mar-22
Found on my way back from a day trip from Canberra to Bathurst to pick up some pressed metal sheets. A quick stop at this lovely park and was welcomed by several super friendly ducks who waddled up and were most disappointed that I didn’t have food for them. Then on to GZ for the required answers and a couple of pics of the mural. A nice leg stretch before driving home. Nice spot here, TFTC

07-Mar-22
I am aware of recent reports that this cache is wet and in need of maintenance. I was in town on 5 March but was unable to replace this one as the roads were closed due to flooding. I will be down again soon and hopefully will be able to replace it then.
