Stopped by this one on my caching adventure in the London area. I didn't realize that there were benchmarks in Canada, too - I've never seen any sites that included the Provinces. This was a really nice surprise/cache.

The coords I got were:

This is the Sunset Drive-in located in Middleport, NY. It has three screens, but it is closed for the winter. During non-winter months, the drive-in also has a restaurant that is open during the daytime. TFTC! 
 
This statue is found in Williamsville, NY. It is at the same hotel/restaurant that gof1 found his statue. This one has a dog *and* a cat... Razz TFTC! 
 
This is a topiary bear... I think it is relatively new and it needs to grow some, but it still looks neat as you look at it while driving past Smile It is found outside of a toy store in Amherst, NY. TFTC!

I couldn't find any information on this one-room school house. All I can share is that it is located in the Town of Lockport in New York, and it *is* a one room school house Razz I had fun looking for one of these... TFTC!

This is the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church, located at 511 Michigan Avenue, Buffalo, NY. It was a station on the Underground Railroad. It is the oldest property continuously owned, operated and occupied by African-Americans in Western New York.

In the summer, they offer Underground Railroad tours, where you can follow the footsteps of slaves escaping to Canada. Being so close to the border, this was one of the last stops before freedom. Information on the tours can be found here

I don't really know anything about this house, except that it is on the National Register of Historical Places. What I *did* learn is how many places in my area that are on the list! Surprised Thank you very much for this cache - exploring some more of these place are now on my agenda Big Grin

What a really fun cache! I think I have a most beautiful username!!! [^] I now have a new place on my Have-To-Visit list now Big Grin

My username converted to 47* 93.346, which turned into 48* 33.346. I contacted Calkan, who was so kind as to help me out with this endeavor - I can't believe how fast he managed to get the pictures!
