Logs for Jude_E

30-Nov-24
It's on the plan if the birthday party finishes on time.#10951

25-Nov-24
Met Nosynel in Halswell and we headed out to Motukarara. Lots of multis here since I was last out this way. Which one to do! DOC has a nursery here and there's lots of interesting info on boards. Plus there's the rail trail. Lots to look at. We chose this one. All went well until we didn't find the final. Oh dear, we just forgot about the correction. Duh!Nell located it once we adjusted our numbers. Hooray! Thanks, busy paws. #10951

A great spot for a multi final. Very grateful to CO for replacing today as I needed a multi for the 365 challenge by Troodles. Wonderful maintenance service, Coconuts3. Thank you!#10950

18-Nov-24
Went looking along the track for another but not prepared as I'm travelling. This one was much more doable and deserves an fp. Thanks, nzchasers123#10940

This was interesting in that someone hasn't done their job here in ages. A barking dog nearly stopped me looking but his owner came out and gave him what for! Found but you need to be quiet!#10943

A quick tour around Brightwater on a crisp spring day. Birds chattering. Very pleasant. Thanks for the adlab and bonus. Even had my breakfast here!#10934

Nicely hidden cache. It's in a relatively well used place but would not be easily seen. Thanks for the puzzle, ricardinho.nz#10942

Had a bit of time up my sleeve so completed the lab and then went looking for the final. Took some rubbish out - a pen or pencil needed as there was no lead in the broken one there. Many thanks for the lab and bonus.#10948

Luckily I could get off the road far enough not to be collected by passing traffic. Lots of long grass here. Cache found. Thanks for the puzzle and hide, bumandworker. #10941

I needed a 52 minute cache for a challenge and this one fitted the bill. No bush bashing. I dont know what other cachers did. The forest was lovely and the cache as easy find. Many thanks, bumandworker#10949

17-Nov-24
Lovely day to be out caching. Solved the bonus before lunch. Signed it after lunch. Many thanks, BigglesNZ.#10891

Came back out to clear a frown and get a couple of adlab waypoints. Saw I had solved this but not found it in the past, so called by. Eventually spotted it. Phew! Thanks for the puzzle. Pleased to find a hint! Thanks, SoBad#10873

Turning a frown into a smile today. Thanks for the maintenance , the puzzle and cache, Sidewaze.#10877

Eventually flicked this with a stick. Once the dirt was off I had a problem. The ring had rusted and broke when I tried to open the bison. Back to the car. Toolkit had pliers. Phew. The base was stuck solid but got it undone. I added rubber seal, a new log (waterproof paper) and new ring before I returned it from whence it came. Thanks for the puzzle and hide, SoBad. Another off the long solved and not looked for list.#10932

There's a cycle race on today so traffic is going nice and slow which meant it was easy to pull off and walk to the cache. A previous finder has replaced the old log which has disintegrated. A nice end to the adlab. Thanks, SoBad.#10876

What a stunning spot to end with for this adlab bonus. Thanks, Marchwood#10884

This took me way longer than it should have. Although I gave the pavilion a thorough look, I struggled to see what I was looking for. A couple feeding the eels helped, but we were all useless. I paf Nosynel, but her journal picture didn't have the answer. And then I saw it. Up. Phew. Found this bonus very quickly in comparison. Nice little hide. Many thanks, SoBad#10931

After an enjoyable wander along the waterfront it was nice to pick this up right under the noses of people cleaning a boat! Thanks, abl973#10912

This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache.

Used to play this game with my grandparents in the 1960s. Nice to remember that. The log is done. Flimsy fragile paper falling to pieces. Photo attached. Thanks for the walk. Nice track, not on my maps. No waterproof paper on me so didn't replace log, sorry.#10890

Gosh, how the other half live! A fantastic spot for a cache. Thanks for the puzzle and cache. Been sitting in my solved folder for a long time. #10913

Quick find after completing the adlab. A glorious day. Thank you, bullertrout.#10901

A nice quick find. I have no notes on this one so that's curious. Maybe a friend shared it and we were going to do it together and then didn't. I really can't say, or remember, but I am glad to have found it. Thank you! #10933

Longer walks required here as the closest carpark is closed off. I dropped off a TB. Nice cache. Thanks, msebn.#10885

16-Nov-24
Cache found about 4m down from the hint item at the base of a different native. Interesting path. Seems to have been recently used by a digger or similar. Tftc. Thank you to my friends Arandee for their botannical knowledge!#10848

A friend suggested I look at this challenge as she thought I may qualify. Indeed I do. No need for FDF's. All are FTFs. I have selected 25 that cover the requirements and next time I am in Marlborough I hope to sign the log in the cache. I was there last week but hadn't done the work of identifying my ftfs or fdfs. I was surprised to see how many night ones I had. Alas have never been FTF on a multi, but have a couple of FDFs. Data attached.

This is a puzzle I solved some time ago, and I got a bit of help from the CO. It was a real challenge for my aging brain and I was thrilled to get the solution. After a long day out I thought I would quickly pick this one up before returning to my accommodation. Between parking and moseying up to the cache, heavy rain set it. I was very wet by the time I returned to the car but happy to have signed the log. Thanks, MuzzaL53. #10872

Just got 19 June to go, but signed the log today. I should have added a note to my calendar to do it this year. Have added it for 2025!

No idea when I solved this. Years ago I suspect. Stupidly I didn't correct my coordinates at the time so guess where I went first! Duh! Thanks for the puzzle and cache, BigglesNZ.#10849

Was a bit early for meeting a friend and spotted a solved puzzle not too far out of my way. There was just time. A tricky little blighter to spot. Thanks, paddle chick#10862

A lovely home and it was very interesting to read its history. Many thanks, Sidewaze #10868

Surprisingly difficult because there's so many places to hide. I hid behind so the muggles didn't spot me. Thanks for the puzzle and hide paddle chick#10855

On a walk with my friend, John, visiting from Seattle, home of geocaching. He made the find. The inner bottle's lid is broken. Thanks for the hide.#10866

Having seen my best buddies found this I persevered a bit longer and eventually spotted red. It wasn't litter! Thanks for the hide.#10869

Third time filling of the calendar has been complete for a while. Some days have substantially more, but I did make a point of trying to finish getting at least 3. Thanks, SWNZ[Jude_E](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=Jude_E) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC5Q7QE "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.366 dates of 366 completed. #10871

Thanks for the challenge, paddle chick.#10841

I have just 1 to go so I stopped off to sign the log today. That's one powerful magnet! Hopefully it won't be too log before I find a cache with the minute I need.

Saw I had some challenge caches I had met the qualifying numbers for as I was driving north. Detoured for the 150 and this one. It took me much longer than it should have to spot this one.#10842

I had never actually stopped here before unless it was as a child with my parents 60 years ago. Enjoyed the driving break and the walk to the plane table. Quickly solved the multi and found it easily. Many thanks, Sidewaze. #10840

No joy for me today. Closest I could get with my correct coords was 3.5m so no idea what's up there. Will watch this one.

Found this today with some surprise. The poor log is very soft and flimsy. No code as it was a replacement log by nzhunter in 2022. Thanks for the puzzle. Enjoyed solving it. Cheers, SoBad.#10844

Yucky pair of damp socks was the first thing I found at gz, but once I turned the torch on, I could see what I had missed on first looking. Thanks for the lab and pu,zle, TARV2014.#10847

Passed this way a long time ago when the cache was missing so glad to find it today to sign off. Thanks, StreetWalkerNZ#10843

Spent a long time poking with no success. 2 dnfs in a row. Could it be missing?

A long time between doing the lab and finding the final. Years! Thanks, SoBad. I was spotted by a muggle but I don't think he saw where I was looking. He thought I needed help. Must have been the white hair!#10845

If the rubbish persists I may archive.

Got a lift out here as little old Corolla would have grounded. We got all the way! Lovely warm day to visit. The log was completely soaked and too fragile to write on. It just fell to bits. There was a good centimetrre of water in the bottom of the canister. Replaced the mush with rite-on waterproof paper. Thanks for the cache, TheWanglers. Would probably never have visited this spot otherwise.#10837

Nice easy find though I'm not sure how long the hint item will last! Would be fun to walk all the way along the creek bed. Very tempting but it looks like it becomes private property. Thanks for the hide. Another reserve discovered!#10838

I needed a multi today and was heading to Lincoln for a family event so chose this one to do. This park is going to be awesome when it's all completed. It has a lovely view. No trouble with the numbers! Thanks, Coconuts3#10835
