Today we met GardenGorilla (thanks for the drinks ) and did Some caching together. First City Caper had to be solved and than this cache. Not so easy with all the high buildings around and so many places to hide a cache. We almost wanted to give up and go for a drink when I spotted something that could be it! Its fun too see different ways too hide caches in busy parts of the city centre.

Found it!!! Wow, this cache took us some time to figure out We started the cache on the second day of our holiday in Western Australia but got stuck at waypoint 2 and had to give up after a long search and feel of certain objects... Because we didn't want to go home wihtout finishing this cache, we mailed the cache owner for a hint and in the meantime travelled from Perth to Broome. It turned out waypoint 2 was a bit out of its place. So when we got back to Perth, we went straight to waypoint 2 again and found it quickly this time. Because it was already dark, it took some time to locate and get to the cache. And the high buildings didn't really help with finding the right location! So we were really happy to eventually find this cache and log it Thanks for this nice city multi! We did this cache again the next morning, together with Garden Gorilla. What a diffenerence when it's light!

What a beautiful beach this is!! Best views we've seen in Broome so far. Thanks for placing this cache, we probably wouldn't have seen this part of Broome otherwise.
Will place photos once we get home from holidays.

We took a little detour to find this cache on our way to Broome.
We drove the 9 km private road to the Barn Hill Station, found the reception/shop closed, so we parked our car and went for a walk finding the cache. Because you have to drive a private road to get here, and the cache is on private property, we assumed that either the owner of Barn Hill station placed the cache or that the owner knew about it and gave permission. In the Netherlands it's a general rule that permission of the landowner is given before the cache is placed and published.
We didn' t have time to stay overnight on the campsite, so when we got back to our car an the owner asked us if we wanted a site for our van, we told her we were just here to find the geocache. We were very surprised when she didn't even know what geocaching was, let alone a geocache placed on her property. She didn't seem too happy about it... I was so surprised (an also a bit overheated by our walk to the cache in 40 degrees...) that I didn't really know what to say. So we explained in short what geocaching was and then went on our wy to Broome again. But I felt really bad afterwards, about having used a private road and walking around on someones property, who doesn't know about this cache. I'm also not sure if we should have paid the day visitor fee of 10 dollars...
It would be a good idea if the placer of this cache contacted the owners of Barn Hill to explain about geocaching and let them choose then if they give permission to leave the cache or to have it removed. Geocaching is a lot of fun and it might be a good way to encourage people to stay on the Barn Hiil campsite, but I think it should be the choice of the owners to give permission for a cache or not.
Barn Hill station campsite is a great place with wonderful views of the ocean, but this caching experience was not a good one for us....

This place is amazing! Winderful views. It took some time before we found the cache. I ended up with some scratches fomr the spinifex and the branches and a few biting ants in my trousers, just because I was a bit impatient to find the cache
After logging the cache we took a walk along the gorge, the beginning of the Joffre falls and then all the way down into the gorge. Later we found out, we couls have gone even further by swimming along the different poolls, but that would have been a bit difficult with our cameras and backpacks anyway.

We found the cache after a little search, but had to wait a bit with logging because of all the people passing on the trail.
Beaituful spot! After logging the cache, we walked further along the gorge and also went down. A bit of climbing but a great walking trail. Will post photos later when I get home. While we walked back to our van we saw a campervan crossing the Yardie Creek. We chose the ' safe way' and entered Cape Range from the north, because we weren't sure if our 4wd van had enough clearance. But it was fun looking another car crossing!

We found this cache a bit too early in the afternoon to see kangaroos and emus. A bit too hot for them probably. But luckily we saw lots of them when we returned to our campsite at Lakeside! We loved this national park, sawe lots of Kangaroos and wallabies, a few emus and the camping at the beach is just wonderful!

We loved Cape Range national park, and on our way north passed this cache. It's good to take a break from driving and go for a walk to find caches on the way. Esepecially if your airconditioning and blower in the car have broken down and your driving from Perth to Broome (it got as hot as 45 degrees inside the van....). Yes, lots of flies here, but with a fly net no problem! And you kind of get use to them a little bit.
Thanks for the cache,

Monkey Mia resort is a good place to stay! We went to see the dolphins at 6:00 AM and they were already there when we got to the beach. Not that many people around yet this early, it was beatiful watching al these dolphins coming to shore and playing around If you stay at Monkey Mia, be sure to go on one of the Aboriginal tours. There's a morgning, an afternoon and an evening tour. We did the evening didgeridoo dreaming tour and it was magical! Sitting around the campfire, listening to aboriginal stories, the history and importance of the land around here, digderidoo playing, songs and eating freshly caught fish.... We loved it.
After our stay we went to Francois Peron National park (which is very clos to Monkey Mia) to go camping. This park is really impressive! Almost nobody there, beatiful dramatic coastline (red sand, white sand, blue sky and sea...) and lots of special birds, dolphins, turtles, sharks etc. to see in and along the water. You can camp right on the beach here if you want.
Photo will follow when we get home!

Found it during a nice bikeride around rottnest island. The landscape is beautiful here! While we were logging a cache a qoukka thought it necessary to inspect what we were doing. He almost put his nose in the cache, but we didn't let him and hid the cache safe again
Thanks for this cache!

Found it during a daytrip on rottnest island. Because it was a bit rainy and cloudy today we didn't go swimming or snorkelling, but this would certainly be a good place for that! And what a view!! Thanks for this cache.
