Dora from Team j2d2zhu joined us on the search and find.
Thanks and greetings from AZ, USA

Found with Don of team j2d2zhu.
Great to break away from the tour group and snag this cache.
Nice hide, had fun finding it with Don.
Thanks and greetings from AZ, USA

Yup, no drama Obama: clean and functional. Unlike the gilded throne you-know-who likes.

It is there, but it is evil!
Signed at space #7 just as the fog started to roll in.
Thanks for the fun and the smiley.

Vitascope? A new word for us, and a new factoid about one of our favorite famous people.
Thanks for the education on our way to Toronto Island,

In town to celebrate our twin grandsons, the future cachers, 1st birthday.
We've driven by here several times, always wondered about the marker. Now we know. Beautiful views from here.
Left Cactus TB and took a Mic TB. SL
Thanks for the fun.

In town to celebrate our twin grandsons, the future cachers, 1st birthday.
Living on the edge is right! George is tall, so he had no problems, but I was a bit nervous.
Luckily school hadn't started back yet, so we were able to park without having to talk to anyone.
TNLNSL and continued.
Thanks for the fun

16-May-12
We are working on the last 3 squares of the AZ Delorme Challenge.
A young couple stopped, and we thought they were cachers as well, but no, they wanted directions to the glass walk over the Grand Canyon. We were able to direct them to Dolan Springs.
Traded swag, signed log, and continued.
Thanks for the fun.

Stopped and looked around here.

04-Apr-10
Since it was Easter, and the gym was closed, we decided to cache. (What else could we do?)
Wow!
The views are superlative, and the walk was exhilirating, although the rating should be raised. Or were earlier cachers a heartier breed of folks?
We hiked along a dry sandy bottomed riverbed - slightly uphill.
But the rewards far outnumbered the complaints.
Cleaned out some of the loose papers in the cache, including USPS stickers! (Why do people litter?)
Traded some swag, read some old journal entries, SL, and continued.
Thanks for the fun.

05-Sep-07
Nice hike on a freshly paved trail.
Plenty of action, what the bikers and the summer cross country guys on their funny gliders.
TNLNSL.
Thanks for the fun,
Lost Tribe

09-Dec-06
What a spectacular and wild place!
The beach is unsafe for swimming, but there were several people suntaning on the sands. How they could stand the flies is beyond us.
We had swag for trading but could only manage to SL and escape.
Thanks for bringing us here,
Lost Tribe AZ

Thanks for hiding the cache in this lovely park. We enjoyed our stroll, as we enjoyed feeding the birds in the parking lot. We had a bit of a hard time locating this cache because the GPS was not consistent, and the clue could have led us to any number of spots. But we finally found it, being extra stealthy to avoid the muggles.
Traded toy cars

No joy!
But what a great spot! We loved feeding the birds, which reminded us of the elusive parrots of Telegraph Hill in San Francisco.
And when our lease was up, we left.
Thanks for the fun,
Lost Tribe, Arizona

08-Dec-06
Found it without difficulties, but we're thinking a better name for the cache would have been Fly's Lair. Or maybe Flies with a View (a la nearby Roos with a View.) But we are refering to it as Lord of the Flies
We had swag for trading, but could only manage to sign the log and run back to the car.
The views are magnificient, though.
Thanks for the cache,
Lost Tribe, Arizona

Alas, there were no Roos in sight!
We were so hoping to spot one, but no such luck. We should have come later in the day, or earlier. A passing jogger informed us that she spotted some wallabys in the bush, but we couldn't find them either.
We did find the cache and it's guardian critter. He was so cute! We took pictures, and I'll try to upload them in the near future.

This is a lovely area, very near the hotel where we stayed.
We enjoyed the view, but can't figure out the reference to the name of the cache.
We dropped of a geocoin. (No, we're not Kiwis, we're from the US) and are just getting around to logging our adventures.
The coin came from Arizona and wants to go to Brazil, so it was pointless to take it back home with us.
We didn't take anything, we were being rushed by skeeters looking for a free meal.
Thanks for taking us here,
Lost Tribe, Arizona

This is indeed a pleasant spot. On the day we were there, a family was getting ready to picnic. We had to use some stealth, as we became persons of interest to them. We needed to continue walking on the trail to lose the kids, and then double back to GZ.
We found the cache easily enough, but it was soaking wet. We drained the water out, but everything in it was wet and moulding. And even though we had swag, we decided not to leave anything, as it would surely get wet.
The cache is in dire need of maintenance.
Thanks for directing us to this lovely spot,
Lost Tribe, Arizona

Looked for this one in the wrong location at first, but decided to be one with the GPS and drove to a different spot.
Here we were successful, but the clue is somewhat misleading.
This is a great lookout, with some great views to a lovely waterfront area.
Took: Lighted key chain
Left: $100 Key Chain
After we were done, we drove to town and had dinner at the Ferrymans Restaurant. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunset view and a great meal.
Thanks for taking us here,

02-Dec-06
This is a beautiful walk in a nature preserve, with many of the trees and bushes identified by plaques. We followed all the clues, but still no joy.
Never mind, we enjoyed our walk and all the sounds of the trees creaking in the wind, the kakarikis calling and the water rushing.
Thanks for bringing us here,
Lost Tribe Arizona

Magnificient falls on an easy walk. This is a busy spot, we had to chat with a few people, sit on the steps and pretend to read while waiting for people to move from GZ. Finally, the coast was clear, we grabbed the cache and went to sit on some rocks with it. More people came, we had to do stealth operations to re-hide.

Fabulous views and great sounds of mooing cows and baaing sheep. It didn't smell so good that day - a dead cat in the parking lot.
Took: yoyo

Thanks for the cache,

What a great spot!
And a little bit of a workout with the wee hillock! But it was all good.
I was struck by the color of the river, never saw a river that blue - awesome!
Took: The world Geocoin. We wanted to bring it home with us, but noticed that it was started in AZ and wanted to go to Brazil. So we'll drop it off in Australia
Left:yo yo.
Thanks for this cache at a magnificient spot.

Walked around the bird sanctuary for a bit, and then went in search of the cache.
We were visiting our son Jon in NZ from the USA, and just got back to log all our finds.
Sad about the little tree, but still a beautiful location.
Took: $100 key chain
Left: black pawn.
Thanks for the fun,

Nice easy find across the street from our motel.
No, we were not in town for the Mt. Kepler Challenge, but there were hordes of people there, and the restaurants were busy both friday and saturday nights.
We did overhear the neighbors across the street saying: "Just a couple of geocachers out there."
Took: coin
Left: fish

Sorry for the late log in. We were visiting our son Jon in NZ and just returned to the USA to log all our finds.

Great little park, and very busy as well. When we got close to GZ, there were people there. We needed to sit a while and chat with them. Finally they continued on their hike, and we were able to seek the cache.
We enjoyed looking at all the trees and their labels. The view of Okaroa was just wonderful!

Great views of the bay!
The drive is awesome both for the views and the animals.
We might have driven through private property, although it was not posted. 3 bulls blocked our way and stared us down. But we persisted, and the bulls scrambled up the hill. Further along the drive we came across a group of sheep, including two lambs with tails! Jon described how and why they cut lambs tails. These two must have have been born in the wild.

Last cache of the day, and I was a bit of a grouch because we were driving around on fumes. But George and Jon ignored the dire situation. They had a lot of fun on the flying squirell.
The campground was busy, with lots of campers and "campettes"
The cache was very wet, and probably should be replaced.
Took: rock
Left: chicken candle holder.
Thanks for the cache

What an awesome spot!
I had the best fun climbing the rocks. But took the trail back down. Lots of muggles on the beach, but none on the trail.

We were almost blown off the knob, it was so windy. But marvelous views of the peninsula.
Take care as you walk around, rocks abound, as does manure.

Great views from the mountain. Earlier in the day we went for a Swim with the Dolphins tour. This is a must do, especially on a calm day.

No joy here! But this is a fantastic hike to the falls which were out in full force. We thought we would have to cross the river to get to this cache, but the stream was overflawing its banks, and moving at great speed, so we thought better of attempting it.
Thanks for the fun,
Lost Tribe Arizona

We were visiting the South Island with our son Jon, and just now got back to the States to log our finds.
Lovely spot, bring a picnic, and watch the tides come in and go out.

No joy here, but this is a very interesting spot. We also noted how many people drowned, but also of many died in infancy.
We continued to the overlook for great views of the valley.
Thanks for the cache,

It wasn't such an easy find - the lush foliage will soon over take the spot.

Had to do this one twice, actually. Turns out I left my sunglasses up at the cache site.
TNLN, noticed a new building going up nearby.

We were visiting our son in Nelson. We just got back to the States and are logging our finds.
We couldn't find the cache either, but are thankful to you for bringing us to this spot. Luckily for us, we got here before the tourist busses, and it was peaceful and scenic.
