This cache no longer exists..visit its replacement: Indiana Jones and the lost cache

Tricky little spot this one. After 10 mins of wandering around I finally found it. Difficult searching without looking conspicuous (as I believe it is actually placed on private land). Plus the location is very visible the road. The container has a press down top (like a Milo can). Bring a screwdriver. Didnt see any arrows.

Clever location for a cache. Clues were easy to follow. Took nothing, left nothing.

Found the cache quicker than I thought. Had trouble locating clue 2; my gps gave a reading of; S 37 57.139, E 145 14.495 for clue 2, but at least I could tell by the hint what I was looking for and found it OK. The light overhead tree cover may cause problems with GPS readings here. Good hunt, well done.

Found it after 5 mins of looking. Would have taken much longer had the clue not specified it was in undergrowth. I had hoped there was a walkway from the side street, but I wasn't going to walk through someones backyard so I had to walk. Good work.

Found this one on the second visit. It's actually a well lit area at night, barely no need for a torch. Good chanllenge.

06-Jul-01
I managed to find this cache within about 5 mins of following my GPS around the area. It couldnt quite seem to make up its mind about where it wanted to point. Blame tree cover I guess. Cache was pretty easy to find. Nice spot. Thanks.

Probably one of the easiest I have ever found. I just about stepped on it as I was too busy watching my GPS which still said I was heading in the right direction with 17m to go. Blame tree cover again here. The path to this one is well worn and concealment is conspicuous. PS You can ignore all the private signs plastered at the start of the road. I did!

(2nd visit, using the alternate coordinates provided by past searches.) My GPS pointed exactly in the right direction of the cache, with almost perfect distance estimation. Walked into bush and almost stepped on it! Unless you've got a big aerial, take your bearing from the track then ignore the GPS.

This was very well placed and easy to find. Good description. Spent no time searching, my gps led me right on top of it.

I read the same article in the age and went and bought a gps. This was my first find. It was well hidden. Probably more difficult than 2.5
