Nice quick find thanks to extra clues. Took elephant, left ANZ blue pen TFTC 

Found by Luis - we loved the cache box! TFTC 

Glad we read the previous logs as this one wasn't as simple as it sounds! "Furtherest tree" is a good clue until you start thinking "furtherest from what?" the sea? the carpark? the main track?!!!!
Bumped into our friends the Kellys on the beach while here (we are 2 hours from home) so took them on their first geocaching adventure. Lovely spot and lovely lonely beach. TFTC

PS If you are stuck - try the furtherest tree from the main track. 

A slight detour off our route to find this - but a highly recommended detour! Awesome waterfall and beautiful tranquil spot. Cache nicely tucked away - Luis managed to retrieve it without being too obvious. Don't know how geocachers without kids do it! TFTC 

After 3 unsuccessful trips out to Flat Rock over the last 15 months - YAY!! Success at last! We were re-inspired to try it after the recent success of geocachers in February who assured that the cutty grass was now cut into a track. Well........hardly a track - 6 weeks of growth has made this the most hidden - deepest in vegetation - cache we have done to date........but so worth it. Thanks Clarks for sharing the experience and the cutty grass slashings with us and TFTC Andy. tnln
 

Got a whole crew out for a walk - awesome spot and well worth the trek from Whananaki. Charlotte found it (as usual) but Grandma, Aunty Sarah, Lily, Luis, Aunty Margie and Di all enjoyed the afternoon's expedition. tftc sad bit of NZ history.

Sorry for delay in logging this - especially as I have picked up turtle geocoin. Have travelled north and will place it in cache nearby this week.
Great excitement as first "treasure" cache for new geocachers with us. Took nemo towel, left something can't remember.

this was our second go as boy muggles politely asked us to leave the vicinity on Fri as he had picnic table all set up near by - about to propose to girlfriend muggles - wonder how it went??

Had time for a look today and found quickly by mum.....left mermaid to wait for gecko as he didn't seem to be home
Mermaid came from "cache a wave" in sandy bay, northland. She's happy to be back by the sea. tftc 

charlotte took aleisha along lucky for us she was the one who found it!! good team work you two!! This was our second try - yesterday the muggles across the road spent the whole time eyeballing us from their deck, even in the rain! we decided to split and try again another time. they must be out shopping no sign of them today.

Great spot - rented a bach up here for the weekend - kids are loving the surf - it's MASSIVE - tons of surfers out dawn til dusk. Beach packed so had to return on dusk to avoid muggles. took mermaid left ninja turtle (thought he might enjoy this sandy spot) tftc this one found by charlotte

what a spot. loved this beach heaps of shady pohutukawas and clear water like the pacific islands Luis rapt to find his first cache (bet the older brother and sisters at last!) Have taken travel bug and will find a good cache for him on our return south
