Logs for mrspotatohead15

02-Nov-24
GPS consistently took us to the middle of the road. We looked on both sides of the road, but just couldnt get a read closer than 6metres, unless we stood on the centre road line.

Fun quick one with the geokid. Tftc

15-Sep-24
TFTC, found by Geokid on a late afternoon stroll.

11-Aug-24
Yay! Many years later, different geokid, and now we live round the corner, happy to have this one turn yellow! TFTC

03-Aug-24
TFTC, have driven past this a zillion times. Clue was a bit much of a giveaway-suggest not looking at it!

18-Jul-24
TFTC, found with PeppaPig, 8, after a couple of unsuccessful finds. Quite a bush bash, wouldnt have been brave enough in Summer!

Thought this might be missing, but I think we came at it from the wrong angle (underneath), instead of heading across the rocks.

11-Jul-24
Loves the walk to this beautiful spot, but no luck logging a find-it is very overgrown with ferns, and very slippery with leaf litter. Will come back with more suitable shoes and a more agile geokid!

01-Jan-24
First one for 2024 and first find for newly minted Geokid. Happy New Year and TFTC!

13-Nov-22
Cute find while the kids were at the park. TFTC

Found on a caching Sunday with the kids. Not a lovely spot, but an easy park and grab to add up the numbers. TFTC

We didn’t get close to the cache despite the coordinates getting us close to where we think it was-the area is very overgrown and there is a lot of rubbish. The cache doesn’t need maintenance, but the land here definitely does.

09-Oct-22
Wandered around for ages, had a pretty good idea what we were looking for, and confirmed with a photo in the logs after long search. No luck anywhere near coordinates or surrounds.

04-Oct-22
Posted a Found by mistake.

Found it with the kids on the school holidays. I had no idea this little bush path was here, but clearly it’s a regular thoroughfare based on the amount of rubbish, sadly.

11-Sep-22
One of the best spots in the mountains. TFTC

A beautiful spot! TFTC

05-Jul-22
Found it on an interstate trip and a day at the park. TFTC

Did not find but had limited time to look.

04-Oct-21
We looked in and around the only likely spot for ages with no luck. A couple of places we were reluctant to poke about because it’s nope ripe season. GPS was confused but no luck for us today.

Was so determined not to leave without this. Previous activity logs helped us work out it was not a traditional container but it took us quite some time to locate our new friend. Luckily carpark was quiet today. TFTC

Thanks-trying to get to our 200th and this was a nice easy find. Few muggles on the golf course but such a sunny lockdown day, a rest on the hill did not incite suspicion. TFTC

03-Oct-21
Have wanted to get this one for years! Was a nice quiet find on a Spring Sunday TFTC

GPS was uncooperative for some reason, but then my daughter was hanging around waiting for it to settle and spied the cache. No pen in the box, but otherwise all good. TFTC

24-Sep-21
A nice quick one at a favourite local park. TFTC

Nice easy one TFTC

29-Aug-21
Nice east find in our goal to reach 200 during lockdown. TFTC

22-Aug-21
Easy find. My daughter loves this funny little park but I have never explored the path. Lots of swaps but no writing implement-we had a spare so left it after signing the log. TFTC

With a bit of help from CO we got there and found the ‘treasure’. GZ is not a gorgeous spot-but we had so much fun with this it gets a fav point-wish there were more of these puzzle caches around the mountains! TFTC and some lockdown entertainment! (Turns out I was one number out)

07-Aug-21
Beautiful Springy Winter’s day for this flat path with big views. Bit of a rock scramble at the end, but a lovely spot to stop. TFTC

22-Jul-21
We had so much fun finding the art, filling out the table-such an enjoyable puzzle to find all the art works…but despite finding every one, and making notes when we were unsure, and trying all the different combos, still having no luck with the coordinates. My suspicion is the sleeping angel-It was the last one we found, and was unsure which of the names was correct…

Will revisit when we are out of lockdown and hopefully work out what the error is.

21-Jul-21
Hunted on a clear lockdown afternoon that had the strange air of a summer Sunday afternoon. Was a Fail to Find rather than First to Find for me today! GPS was to blame. Was 14m away, then 65 in the opposite direction. Will approach a different way next time.

08-Jul-21
Cute street and we enjoyed the little libraries. TFTC

30-Jun-21
Nasty bit of road but introduced us to the MTB trails which we didn’t know existed. Pencil is blunt but we BYO so signed the log, popped it back in its hidey and on our way. TFTC

29-Jun-21
An easy find that we think had slid out from its camo as it was just sitting out in the open. Have replaced back within the hiding spot (approx 10cm from where we found it). Did not know about this track so thanks for bringing us here!

Beautiful spot that I drive past every day. Had no idea there was the little reserve. We found the cache after dark and the view on a clear winters night was amazing. TFTC

28-Jun-21
Took a while as GPS was sending us every which way…read a couple of logs for ideas but then spotted a likely hide from below. TFTC

27-Jun-21
I am sure we’ve been on the way to look for this cache before-not sure if there were too many muffles or a sudden shower, but we never actually looked for it. Easy find with very accurate coordinates. TFTC

19-Jun-21
Logged with permission of Thomo31

Hmmm have to wonder if this little guy has gone for a wander-based on the previous logs, the difficulty rating, the lack of alternate spots to hide a small sistema, hint, log photos and our GPS, there seems only one place it could be-and it definitely isn’t there.

Sorry -previous log is an error. Was in the wrong cache. Can’t delete I don’t think

28-Mar-21
Found it but were too scared to put ungloved hands in to sign the log. Was a quick find but with several large spider webs to navigate

13-Dec-20
Had a hunt for this once before and didn’t even get close enough to log a DNF-realised early on we had the wrong trail. Noticed a sneaky little trailhead last week and ta-da! Strenuous but accessible trail near our house. TFTC

14-Jul-20
Log is full and damp, needs replacing.

Took longer than we expected to find this one, even though we guessed what we might be seeking. A nice little spot to brush up on history. TFTC

13-Jul-20
Nice spot on a cloudy winters Day. Our first Cowra cache. TFTC

26-Apr-20
We found this, but since our dog refused to go down the cliff, Geokid went on the hunt. Unfortunately I had the pen. She took a selfie with the cache to prove she was there!

This was a fun one to hunt for-we ran out of time to keep searching, but we’ll be back.

09-Mar-20
Found on a misty, sprinkly afternoon with lots of puddles on the ground. Could see the cache from the trail, so replaced the camo after signing the new log. TFTC that broke a dry spell!
