Logs for sof98

Some tough problems to solve first (thanks for the nice puzzles) - then I got a chance to search for the cache.
But no luck for me Sad

I took a stroll along the Esplanade the other afternoon collecting information for this cache.
At first the calculations gave little sence. After a review of the cache text, which had been revised compared to my print-out, I made a revised calculation, which pointed to a spot which looked promising.
I went there today and searched the area - but in vain.

Afterwards the cache owner has confirmed my coordinates, but alas - I have no opportunity to come there one more time!

But anyhow - thanks for the puzzle!

A fun place, and a fun puzzle to work with.

After som search the cache was found, and after a lot of struggle and use of force it was possible to open it.
I signed the log and dropped a tiny Danish coin (10 øre).

Searched the spot for as long as we had time - but no cache shoved up.
Instead I got a number of scratches from the dead leaves. Sad

I had to log on one of the older spots in the log, where previous loggings had faded.
Quite difficult to write on the log.

Certainly a remarkable place!

We took the short route into the creek the previous evening, and then a morning-tour along the rim in the morning. And what a fantastic hike! Steep up- and down-slopes, wonderful views, exciting remnants of ancient oceans and in addition a trip to the Garden of Eden.

Thanks for highlighting this remarkable monument of the nature.

Logged by permission from CO.

Prior to our visit to the central Australia we had heard a lot about Uluru - but virtually nothing about Kata Tjuta. And that is a pity, since it is at least as interesting and worth seeing as Uluru.

Thanks for pointing out this interesting place for us!

This was rather easily solved - but finding the cache gave some problems.
But - after I had considered more carefully what was written in the description - I found it!

I solved this mystery at home before leaving for Australia - a nice puzzle.
We had a rather long walk in the suburban area to get to the site - rather different from the burstling city centre!
The hide fooled me for some time - but then the gadget containing the tiny container was located.

What a spectacular cache on a very special island!

The rocks were visible from great distance, but the closer contact was really amazing!
Thanks for making this cache!

Well, this fine puzzle was solved before we left home. We got a chance to find it now - although it required quite a walk from our hotel.
There were many possible good hiding places, so some 5-10 minutes search was needed.

Indeed a remarkable construction, which lead us to one og the beautiful points in the Sydney Harbour region.
It describes a very neat piece of history.
