"End of An Era". Very sadly and reluctantly, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have made the decision to archive our caches. Many Thanks to all the geocachers who have found them and given them favorite points through the years they have been active. We appreciate your support. Happy Geocaching to One and All .... End of the road for this one. The area has been cleared of shrubbery - along with our cache. So, Goodbye, Bat Cave - it was fun while it lasted...

28-Mar-19
Great Geocache at this wonderful place. Our second of the day - and such a magnificent day it has been in the ACT - not a cloud in the sky. Emailing duties done and on to the next ! TFTC !

Third and last of the day. About to board the Burley Griffin Lake cruise and had time to get this one - without walking on water ! Lucky Us ! SL; TFTC.

First cache of the day. Wandered down to this part of the city for the Lake Cruise and had time to do a few caches. Not a muggle in sight, so easily spotted the cache. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no room for signing the log - it is completely full. So, we’re logging this anyway. TFTC.

26-Mar-19
Off to Leura for a getaway with my sister who is visiting from the US. What an absolutely beautiful day - not a cloud in the sky. Had a go at this one, but figured we were in the wrong spot, so headed off to find another. On the way to the next one, found the sign for this park and off we went down the track. Easily spied the cache and did signing duties. NOTE: The log book is quite damp - might need maintenance. TFTC !

Second time lucky for this geocache ! Had been here before and hadn’t located it. Return visit today with sister visiting from the US. What a gorgeous day for geocaching...not a cloud in this clear blue sky! Got to lookout and lucked out with no muggles around. Soon found the cache. The log book was FULL - so we put in a new log book. Another great cache by pjmpjm. Signing duties done - TFTC !

Second stab at this cache. We had been to Leura before and tried to log this one with no luck. Back again today - and what a gorgeous day it has been - not a cloud in the sky. Didn’t have to wait for ‘third time lucky’ - we got ‘second time lucky’! Great hide - did the signing duties and off to the next one. TFTC !

First find for today. Just checked into the Old Leura Day - wonderful little spot to stay - and headed off into town to bag a few caches. Just a gorgeous day to be strolling about and found the cache quite easily. Signing duties completed and off we go. TFTC !

15-Mar-19
A fun find on an exploration of Hawkes Bay, NZ. Off the Ovation of the Seas this morning and on to our scenic tour. One of the highlights was Te Mata Peak - just breathtaking and gobsmacking ! Had not planned on doing any geocaching today until I spied the trig mark and wondered if this just might be a cache. LUCKY US - it was - and we got our New Zealand souvenir ! TFTC, J ‘N’ K from Squashball2 - another “J & K” !!

14-Mar-19
One of our ports of call on RCCL's Ovation of the Seas. The drive to the top of Mount Wellington was, indeed, breathtaking - gorgeous panoramic view ! Lucked out with a good day weather wise and saw some spectacular scenery. TFTC !

First Port of Call for RCCL's Ovation of the Seas today. Wonderful, breathtaking scenery from this Memorial. Perfect day weather-wise, and the view was gorgeous ! TFTC !!

01-Dec-18
After reading the most recent log, checked on this geocache today. It appears to be missing and the area where it was located is surrounded by quite a bit of debris, most likely from the recent downpour. We have decided to archive this cache.

29-Oct-18
Cruzin’ on RCCL’s Ovation of the Seas. Have been aboard since we checked in at Singapore on 19th October. Today brought us to Adelaide, South Australia. Absolutely picture perfect day to be out and about geocaching, and found a walking/cycliing path near the cruise terminal and were able to ‘bag a few’ caches. Cache is in good order and well maintained. TN; LN; SL: TFTC ! Have given a favorite point for placing these caches so conveniently for cruise ship passengers.

What a perfect day for Cruzin’ and Cachin’ ! Have been on the Ovation of the Seas sailing from Singapore to Sydney for 11 days. Needed a good excuse to get out and stretch out our sea legs. Today’s stop is Adelaide, South Australia, and the weather has cooperated beautifully brinning us sunshine, but not too hot as well as a nice breeze. Found a biking/walking track with a series of caches. Quick find; coordinates ‘spot on’. Cache is in good condition and well maintained. TNLN; SL; TFTC !

Ahoy, Mateys from the Ovation of the Seas. Having fun cruzin’ and cachin’ our way from Singapore to Sydney. Today’s port of call is Adelaide - and what a magnificent day it is ! Sunny and just the right amount of cool for a geocaching walkabout. Found a biking/walking track not far from the cruise terminal with a bunch of caches along it. Cache is in good condition and well maintained. TNLN; SL; TFTC !

Cruzin’ and Cachin’, again. After 11 days at sea from Singapore on Ovation of the Seas, today’s port of call is Adelaide. Needed a bit of off ship walkabout to straighten out our sea legs. Fantastic cycling/walking track near the cruise terminal with some well laid out caches by 3LG. Caught a few of them to add to our collection. Cache is in good condition and well maintained. TNLN; SL; TFTC ! Wonderful Job with these caches and so convenient to cruise geocachers.

Ahoy, Mateys ! Sailing on Ovation of the Seas from Singapore to Sydney. After 11 days at sea and only one previous port stop, decided it was time to stretch out our sea legs and bag a couple of caches. Great cycliing/walking track close to the cruise terminal with some very well maintained caches. All the caches we found today were in good condition. LOVED the hint for this one, and actuall had to use a bit of stealth as a runner came jogging by just as we picked up the container ! TNLN; SL: TFTC !

First Find of the Day! Had hoped to get a few before this one, but way too many muggles about to even try those caches. Day 11 of our cruise from Singapore to Sydney and just a perfect day to do some geocaching. . . sunny with a bit of a breeze and a bit cool. Some wonderful caches placed by 3LG - all in good condition and well maintained. Stll had to use a bit of stealth for this one as there was a muggle standing nearby. But, we managed to bag it and replace with no one the wiser ! TNLN; SL; TFTC !

21-Aug-18
After reading the last log, decided to check on the cache. The split ring on the top of the container has been replaced with a better, and hopefully, more stable one.

18-Aug-18
Perfect morning to nab a souvenir. Sun shining and brisk (brrr), so not too many muggles about. Found the cache easily. It was a trip down Memory Lane for geohubby, who attended St. Francis School as a young lad! We cleaned up the cache a bit (it was a bit damp) and left a new log book. TN, LN, SL - TFTC !!

22-Apr-18
Due to a few DNFs, checked on this cache. It is where it should be. We have also done 3 GPS readings with our Garmin and tweaked the coordinates VERY slightly.

CO relocated cache and updated coordinates. Good To Go !

Due to last log, we are temporarily disabling this cache until we can enter new coordinates for it. Hopefully, not too long.

This is one of our favourite caches - we've 'launched' several TBs from here as it's a good size and gets enough traffic to do so. Visited it this morning to drop off another TB. Before going to the cache, had read the logs about a wet log book. We had a few cache containers and log books hanging about, so decided to take some with us. Upon arriving at the cache, discovered that not only was the log book wet, but most of the previous logs were all but soaked through and falling apart. Everything in the cache was wet as well. Made the decision to replace the cache as it is one of our favourites. Cache container has been replaced. New Log Book is in it, along with the TBs and some swaps that weren't water damaged. Happy Geocaching !!

The Early Bird Catches the Worm, Again - another Souvenir ! Up at the crack of dawn to score the first cache of the New Year and the first cache of 2018 souvenir ! Again, this cache brought us to a huge 'green' space we hadn't known of before. The green spaces are becoming fewer as the cityscape changes, and it's nice to see these parks preserved. Coordinates were 'spot on' and we made the find. TNLT; SL - TFTC !

31-Dec-17
"The early bird catches the worm" - or, in this case, the souvenir. Today is "Last cache of 2017 souvenir" day, so we got up with the sparrows to make our way to this lovely park to hunt for the cache. Had been here on another day when there were way too many muggles about. Today, only one, and we were able to make the find. Coordinates and description for the cache were 'spot on'. It's a nice big container for TBs and swaps, so may revisit to drop some TBs in to send on their way. TNLN; SL - Thanks for this cache - it's a beauty. And..... Happy New Year and Happy Geocaching in 2018 !

Picked up a TB while in Hawaii during a port call on a 3-week cruise from Seattle, Washington to Sydney. Wonderful adventure and lucky to have found this TB that wants to find its way back home to Whyalla, Australia. Happy Traveling !

Have finally arrived home and are visiting this TB to a few caches before we let it go out into the world again!

Brought this TB home with us from Hawaii and are visiting it to a few caches before sending it on its way !

Stopped by to check on our cache and visit a TB we picked up in Hawaii.

Visiting a TB we picked up in Hawaii to a few caches before placing it in a cache to continue its journey.

14-Oct-17
Visited this TB to our cache before its epic journey overseas

10-Aug-17
Out and about on this beautiful day making the rounds to check up on our caches. Not a muggle in sight which was a bonus ! At first, didn't even see the cache and were fearful that it had been muggled. A little searching around, and we found it on the ground. Have re-placed it and will check on it from time to time. If you find this one, please take care in replacing it as found. Thank You ! Happy Geocaching.

Read the last log and thought it best to check up on this cache - perfect day for it as well - and no muggles in sight when we got there. Have replaced the cache's o-ring and put in a new, dry log, So, should be 'good to go' for awhile ! Happy Geocaching.

01-Aug-17
Due to the last log, CO checked on this cache again. There are no wasp nests near the cache itself. Please note no need to go DOWN the stairs to get to the cache. Also you can refer to our last log for the photo we have posted from the cache location.

23-Jul-17
Perfect morning for a walk - and to check on a couple of our caches. Cache is still in place - all is well. Took a photo to share.

Perfect morning for a walk; early enough to escape muggle activity and to check up on a couple of our caches. Did some tidying up and bush trimming to make the way more cacher friendly. All is well.

Yes ! Construction finally done on this park/playground area. Have checked on the cache - all good - so, we are enabling it again.

We were looking forward to meeting some fellow geocachers. Arrived at the food court just on 10:45. Having never attended one of these in the past, were looking for a sign or other indication of where you were. Couldn't see any, so headed downstairs to do a bit of shopping. Returned to the food court at 11:15 - again couldn't find you as we hadn't seen your log about where you were (we had no mobile phone). Returned home; found your log; drove back to Roselands to try a third time to meet everyone. Unfortunately, looks like we arrived too late. Would have been nice to meet some of you - perhaps next time.

29-Jun-17
We ventured into the 'Big Smoke' for an anniversary celebration and decided to grab this geocache. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day to be clocking up steps along the Writers' Walk - sun shining, brisk fresh air and, as always, the life happening around Circular Quay. GeoHubby (Squashball1) picked Henry Lawson because of his story 'Bill The Ventriloquial Rooster' from his "On The Track" collection of short stories. I (Squashball2) picked Robert Louis Stevenson because pirate stories have always been a favourite; we'd just finished binge watching the last season of 'Black Sails' - and, because of his story - 'Treasure Island' - this Island Continent of Australia is truly a Treasure !! Thank to Reigate Squires for this most enjoyable cache !!

Hope to Attend.

18-Jun-17
We were astonished by the log posted by Paul the Hippy. We consider ourselves responsible cache owners who would never leave a cache in an area as described by the log. Have just now gone to check on the cache. It is where it should be with no debris around it.

14-Jun-17
We have seen the Reviewer's Log. We have checked on this cache regularly due to its nearby location. The cache is still in place but inaccessible due to the construction of the playground area. We do not wish to archive this cache as it is well-liked. We will continue to check on the construction progress and will enable the cache as soon as possible.

05-Jun-17
Due to last log, thought we'd best check on this one. Cache is still in place - all well.

03-May-17
Staying at the Fairmont Blue Mountains for a birthday celebration and ventured out to do some geocaching on this 'bracing' cool morning. Good timing as a lot of muggles must have been snuggled up in warmer places - not many around. Another wonderful Blue Mountains area cache by pjmpjm. Clever hide. SL; TFTC

Saw one of these on a lampost one time. Clever hide, indeed, and well 'camoflauged' in its surroundings. As mentioned, perfectly located to be hidden from any muggle eyes in the close be houses. SL; TFTC

Gobsmacking! What an absolutely gorgeous view. We envy the people living in those homes above getting to see this magnificent view every day. We can just imagine looking out on this vista over morning coffee. We can't say thank you enough to pjmpjm for leading us to some breathtakingly beautiful places in this area of NSW. We've found a few of your caches this time and the last time we were here in November 2016. We come back here from time to time for a day or two get away from our home in Sydney and will keep your caches on our lists of ones to find - and be surprised! Grabbed several photos while we were here. Signed the log; sat a spell to revel in our surroundings; then back up to set off for the next find. This one was definitely one of our favourites.
