Sending this out for adoption as I no longer frequent that area.

12-Jul-15
I dont get the time Id like to dedicate to the maintenance of this long standing cache. Its with sad tear I pass on the baton.

This cache will soon be adopted by CaseyCachers.

Soon as I can work out how to do that.

07-Oct-13
Hey Moose thanks for that. This cache is now a far ways from me to travel too so Im really appreciative that you guys fixed it up. As you said, would be sad to see this golden oldie die.

12-Sep-10
Multi - Traditional - Was all the same back when this baby started, Its a very old cache. System dosent seem to let me change it. So it is what it is, a very old cache created in a different and bygone era, when you had to use GPS coords and not google maps rules were scant and everyone just had fun Smile

Cracked lid , ohh dear must fix this ASAP thanks for the heads up.

Container replaced with 100mm PVC pipe with screw on lid, the old one had done a fine job, three cheers! I had to be a little hasty as muggles were in droves, it was such a fab day to be out. So an Inventory check was not contemplated. I did add a few things including a ben ten figure and a cuddly soft toy owl and quickly had to shove everything else back in.. Lets hope it lasts as well if not longer than the previous container. I was so glad to see the surrounding area had not been eroded too badly by visitors, big thanks to all cachers for being careful. Although the local rabbits or bandicoots had certainly done some local excavation perhaps mimicking the new extended Aus gardens works that are in progress.

So glad to see this one is still kicking and being enjoyed. Oh what stories it could tell Smile

09-Jul-09
This cache is really special and an old one in the geocache books of Victoria.I thank the people at the park for being good spirited about it all. Please please cachers heed their words and be really careful to the environment here. Its a special spot for us as a family as well as many local inhabitants and the park workers are truly being nice to us so lets pay the privilege back. Please tread lightly!!

14-Dec-08
I was all set to replace the battery but then the cache went completely missing Sad I will rebuild something in the new year

03-Nov-08
Darn it, ok Ill check this out. I havent gotten the next version/replacement finished yet.

20-Jul-08
Im amazed this baby is still flashing. Its surpassed my calculations. I really expected this winter would kill it.
The thought in my mind now is, when it does die which surely cant be far off now as it is really weak, do I simply replace it or do something more extravagant???!!!

26-Feb-08
Ill check it out. Thanks

19-Dec-07
All fine. I checked, its still there and still working. Weak but active.

28-Oct-07
checked on 27th and still flashing strong. Much growth in the area and the cache spot/light is no longer viewable from "the sides". Please replace so the light is pointing skyward and can thus be seen by those looking down Smile

06-Aug-07
Strobe is still there, still flashing and still in the right spot. Although the light was pointing inwards and not showing. Please replace with the light pointing outwards, its more fun to find it that way Smile
The area is a little overgrown but get the angles right and its still visible. I originally estimated it would have died by now but the light is still going well.

05-Aug-07
Ill have a look, maybe the gardeners have taken it away as trash Sad

24-Oct-06
The area is fine. Some good growth on the various surrounding plants has maybe made it a tad harder. But the device was found still functioning and in its original spot.
Remember during the day this beacon is hardly noticeable. You would have to be right on top of it to see it. Night time is the only time the beacon is going to help you find the cache.

15-Oct-06
Ill check on this ASAP

28-May-06
Yeah number 3 of the day and number 2 found.
Nice n close to the last "21" thanks. Smile
Nice little walk in the bush too and the kids had funny chasing the seagulls.
took a bit digging around, ground was wet so i have house maid knees Smile
took puzzle My girl loves puzzles.
left some more plastic creatures and a neat little make your own bead/neckalace set.
oohh and 21 hmm I got drunk for the first time in my life on my 21st. I was framed. If I had it again I would not have trusted my brother or my girlfriend that night. They both worked together to get me sozzled.

opps sorry crackers I think i took your stamp.
I placed a log book in here today and cut the other log visits from the paper and taped them in. Only when I read your log just now did I remember seeing the stamp. I dont think it made it to the new log. Real sorry my bad very bad
still your logged in here

Drizzle hmm must be the area Smile we got wet too.
but still the muggles muled around. so we had to be a little carefull and eventually gave up. Any further attempt would look suspect.
I found where I thought would be a perfect spot (where Id put one) but nothing. Decrypt the clue and yeah thats where i would have put it, ie same spot. So it didnt help. May try another day without the watchers.

first for the day and a failure. We'd found the initial clues yesterday but were out of time so hit this one early up. GPS indicated it was about 2-3 meters into the water. But it was a drizzly day so not wanting to get bogged down we moved on. Will check our answers and revist another time.

Well kinda!
My navigator got this real wrong. we ended parking ,miles away. half way along the walk we split. Nav went back for the car and I forged ahead into the unkown with the kids. fun part was the Nav had no idea where we were going to end up neither of us had grabbed a phone so the trick now was not just me finding the cache but our transport manager finding us!!
anyway was getting real close when I noticed a muggle gardening very very close to GZ. So we walked past as I was now more interested in getting some where in the clear to spot the evac crew.
We found each other and then head on foot back in to GZ. Well butter me on both sides and call me french toast as we appraoched a suspicious looking fellow was in the cacher position. We exchanged notes signed the log, bid each other farethewell and split.
Ohh I dropped off a font.. "digital"

Almost passed this one by.
We had had a failure at another cache earlier on and this one wasnt looking good.
Ok first we started at the end ie found oursleves on the wrong side. Wish we'd thought to read the clues here, anyway Smile we found the start then we followed the clues which the kids loved heaps. Well done!! Then "ooh gosh this is where we sarted" with the final clue in hand oft we searched. GPS said it was in the middle of a bare patch of ground.. this cant be right. It was at this point due to the failure this morning I was begining to doubt my borrowed GPS unit.Accuracy wise anyway.Did some searching but we looked obvious and muggles were in and out so we moved on.After getting back into the car my navigator re read the clues and I had indeed missed a sum.. ok its not that far away 5 mins only. Bingo found it first up easy, now that i had the correct co-ords. Smile took nothing gave nothing.
bikes would be nice,, next time

Wow you guys are quick.
Im on my way to put a proper log and re label the stickers.(long story:)

You guys are just too quick for me Smile
Glad you liked it and Im impressed that you all put it back so the red eye was visible. I frequent this area and so can keep an eye on it but its much easier on other cachers if its just replaced correctly Smile

20-May-06
It was time to check this cache and so packed the kids and off we went. The new view out over the new and opening soon Australian Garden setting plus a magic day always makes this walk worth while. Kids love it and still love re visiting the cache and checking things out.
I took out some AA batteries that were starting to look abit rusty but otherwise all is as was found.

22-Sep-01
Didnt like the mossies and realised we could have driven closer to the spot but it was fun ducking the local bikies and keeping the cache secret, allthough it has allready been found by some not so nice people who have left a note for the rest of us on back of the log book, the cache was in good condition. Gps was about 15m out. Took the puzzle which kept the kids and adults amused as we journeyed to the next cache.

took the tobe 3year old up the top and not sure who was more scared.
found the cache and disapeared just as the onlookers arrived so it remains a secret:)
Had a picnic lunch of local chips and pie and were overseen by the local drop bears. tobe 1 year old found some treasure too in the shape of a parrots feather.

It was a shame to see Medieveil in such a state when considering my distant memories of the place. But the drive was good and the cache fairly easy to find. Even found a blue plastic critter to add to the cache while we were looking:) took things left things.

The best cache site I have visited. Well worth the drive and the walk to the beautifull view. Almost missed out on the eagles (Probably cause of my noisy kids) but theY turned up as we were leaving:) I wanted to do the direct route but the family out voted me and we walked along the top. It was the last of our caches for the day and the only member not to find a cache that day found this one, so all went home happy. Took some things left some things.
thanks.

Found it fairly easily as the site had been vandalised or animal trashed and there was plastic and water soaked paper everywhere. Mind you I find it hard to believe the animal took the bucket!!
I tidied up the site and took away all the plastic etc. I left only a water soaked log book(found about 2m away from the whole) and I left a toy in a zipbag and placed it into the hole. ( I didnt have a bucket or jar on me)
great location, but next time Im taking the kids in the back pack:)

Sad
Found the first location easy, nice spot for the kids too.
however spent quite a while at location 2 with nothing to show for it. By the looks of it the area has been totally cleaned, there wasnt a scrap of rubbish within 10meters of the stork. I was wandering if it could be checked?
Location 3 again went bad. after finding the stump the search proved zero return and again the protected area was in the process of being cleaned/replanted.
If someone could confirm they still exist... I will return:)

Now that took some finding I almost gave up. the GPS led me up the wrong side.
Cache in excellent condition and well stocked. Hot work needed the drink thanks. Kids were exstatic I found it first then let them find it(with a bit of help)
I thought she would take the dolls but no we just left a glow toy.
