I'm not really sure why this cache got to reviewer attention given it doesn't even have the needs maintenance flag. I've checked on it a couple of times and it's there. It is at the bottom of the mesh fence, within a few cm of one of the fence posts. However, since it seems to be causing people so much trouble, and I know it is a lot more overgrown there now, I think it's best to archive this one and free up the space for another cache perhaps.

Seems like this one is gone and I don't have a replacement for it at the moment.

We have visited and put a new final cache in place. Unfortunately, the original final cache was a bit of work and I haven't been able to replicate it yet, so the cache title should really now be "A Really Easy Multi To Film"
Visited and managed to get the device out, and restore functionality. Please please please follow the instructions. Someone had pushed the container back in the wrong way up, and had jammed it really tightly way up inside. The container goes back in with a gentle push, and a couple of clicks and it doesn't go any further. It does NOT take force to put it back in.

Congratulations huhugrub for hosting a great GIFF event! We would have loved to be there in person, but just a little too far away to get there. Sounds like everyone had a great time! It's a llittle bit tricky for us to get to this now as we have moved away from Auckland, but will see if this one can get looked into.

I have not had a chance to get to this one yet, but I do intend to get it sorted when I get the opportunity, hopefully within the next few weeks. Apologies for the delay.

Someone has pushed the mechanism way up inside, and also put the cache itself back in the wrong way around and jammed it up there. Will have to pull it out and see what can be done to fix it.

We dont often log caches visited, but given its blue switch day and this is a prwtty cool cache - we always love big ammo cans - we thought we would log this [FTF] with FMZ and Punga and Paua. Got the find done and back to the car just before a heavier rain shower. TFTC!!!

Unable to get a new cache ready for this spot within the near future sorry.

I'd be surprised if it's not there - the hint would be bend down rather than look up. Will check on it as soon as I can get there, but it might be in about a month or so.

Unfortunately this one is gone. It was a pretty specific container - an oversized ammo can - and we dont have a spare available right now. May try again with this location another time.

It's there and it's working. It has been pushed quite far up, so the green button is not visible, but aside from that it is functioning ok.
Have taken this away for repair - will be abck in a couple of weeks hopefully.
This one is missing as there has been some landscaping in the area and the cache's cabbage tree home is now gone. Will need to reconstruct a new cache to put back, hopefully in a couple of weeks...

Another great Gorby event. Good location for it too, especially with the involvement and acknowledgement of the locals. Thanks!

It was a long road to get to this event - much longer due to covid, getting on towards 4 years. Good to see it finally happen and people come along and enjoy themselves. Thanks everyone for coming and thank you to all the volunteers who helped put it together and run it on the day!

Received private reports that the cache was not working so went and checked it today.
Found that someone had pulled it right out, put it back the wrong way around, pushed it really far in, and broken it. Thank you however did that, but please don't do that again.
This is actually the second time that someone has used ridiculous force and pushed the whole mechanism up inside.
I managed to again fix it, and returned it to its proper position.
PLEASE DO NOT USE FORCE when operating the mechanism. It is not necessary AT ALL. The green button requires only a gentle push, and it hardly moves at all for the cache to release. Returning the cache into the mechanism also requires no force.

This one is not coming back, but I have another idea for this spot. Just have to design and build it...

Checked on the cache yesterday, all good. It is unfortunate that the quality of the swag has reduced dramatically from what was in there when the cache was hidden, but such is life...
Took this one away last night for maintenance. It will be back shortly (probably today)
Cache is now back in place with some additional magnets added. It's quite tight now - please make sure it's pushed up inside sufficiently so that the cache is properly hidden. It works best if the magnets are on the path side, not the motorway side.

Checked on the cache today as was in the area. The cache was still there, in plain view, just outside the construction fence. But to make it easier and even more accessible, I have moved it a short distance away.

All good here, checked in it today and the cache is there. I have moved it a few metres north to make it easier to access without having to go right up to the construction fence. Good luck!

The 2 remaining waypoints have been removed temporarily. If someone has taken home the other one please contact me so that I can get it back, fix it, and return it to GZ. If not, then sadly this cache will most likely be archived as it was kind of too expensive to put together.

Great fun seeing everyone come out for this awesome occasion, celebrating the history of geocaching and this very significant spot. Special thank you to everyone who supports the plaque project by purchasing a GC45 tribute plaque geocoin from www.geocoins.nz. Thanks!
