Recently returned from my first trip to NZ. Had a wonderful time. Working on completely the logs on caches I did while there. Visited this cache early in the trip. Just returned from my first trip to NZ. Traveled with Gate1 travel. Visited this location early in the day on the day my Gate 1 tour started later that afternoon. Now that Im home Ill start working on logging some of the caches I didnt get around to during my busy travels. Photo is of my wooden geocoin with my caching name at GZ. Signed this log on November 4th while visiting NZ for the first time. Have returned home and now have the time to write this log. I have cached in 25 countries including NZ. My 4 caches to qualify for this challenge are:1. **GC30 Mingo** in Kansas, **USA** - Found this traditional cache, the oldest active cache in the world, while traveling by RV on **9-24-2024**.2. **GC43 Europe's First** in **Ireland**-Found this traditional cache while visiting Ireland on **6-15-2024**3. **GCZ8HM** **The mouth of truth (La Bocca della Verita)** in **Italy**- Found this traditional cache while visiting Italy on **4-26-2010**. This was this first cache I found outside of my home country.4. **GC11JM6 Geist des Hagen** in **Germany**-Found this traditional cache with Grandson on **6-9-2024** while visiting his Opa and Oma in Germany. At the time we found this cache it was the most favorited active cache in the world with over 10,000 favorite points. Thanks for the opportunity to participate in this challenge. Staying at Novotel tonight before tomorrows flight back to US. Decided to do alittle caching to stretch my legs. Targeted a few along a bike path. Looked for this one without success. The frowny face now on my map gives new meaning to feeling blue. As a single woman traveling alone who is unfamiliar with the area I decided to stop here and not continue to the multi and puzzle I had planned next. Thanks for being a CO which keeps the hobby going.
Spent 12 days on n NZ touring North and South Islands with Gate 1 travel. Had wonderful time. Tonight at Novotel before tomorrow s flight back to US. Thought Id stretch my legs with alittle caching. Log was damp but signable. Signed in red ink. Replaced as found. TFTC.
Traveling with Gate1 travel. Flying back to US today. Had fun play monopoly in NZ. Purchased 5 properties for a total cost of $1470 and made 1 dark blue monopoly. My 5 properties are: Napier - pink- $140. Traveling NZ on a Gate1 tour. Having a great time. Saw this just before we stopped at Jones fruit stand for ice cream. Took photo from bus. My caching name is written on my hand. Visiting from US. Touring with Gate1 travel. Todays itinerary had us overnighting in Franz Josef then heading on to Queenstown. Unfortunately there is an issue with the road so this will be our last stop today before returning to Christchurch tonight. I enjoyed our short stay. Traveling with Gate1 travel. Had free afternoon in Wellington so hired a private tour guide to bring me here this afternoon. Enjoyed the walk. Cache easily located. Rained last night. Learned about this cache several months ago while planning a trip to NZ. At that time I set the following goals for myself Cache 250 straight days - I reached that in OctFind a cache on 50 US regions - I reached that in SepFind a cache in 25 countries - I reached that this week. Find a cache on 5 continents. - I reached that this week. I signed this log about 30 minutes after leaving the airport on Nov 4th. Couldnt log as found at that time until I logged a cache for n NZ. Have done that and just getting around to logging this as found. Thanks for this very unique challenge. Photo taken near GZ.

If the event is moved to the next day I will not be able to attend. Im participating in a group tour that will be leaving early that morning. If the event owner is free Monday evening and wants to get together Im available. If helpful to the event owner I can also serve as a surrogate to meet with anyone who was planning on attending at the original events place and time.

Read about this cache several months ago when I started planning for a trip to NZ. At that time I set the following personal caching goals:Log a cache 250 days in a row - met Oct 2024. Log a cache in 50 US regions - met Sep 25, 2024. Log a cache in 25 countries and Log a cache in 5 continents. I hope to complete the last 2 goals and sign this log while in NZ next month. Thanks for placing such a unique challenge.
