We have both lived in this area all our lives and this is the site of the original Dick's.
We have emailed Dick's to verify this and they responded that it is the location of their first store. Copy of email was sent to cache owner.

Located in the Union district of Endicott, NY - this lighthouse was built as an Esso gas station in the 50s (gas was 27 cents/gallon Surprised). It has since been owned/occupied by a realty company and other businesses. It now houses office space for a private business.
