Logs for G.R.O.W. 

Pretty sure this has now gone. Going to shut it down as it's not one I can continue to maintain. Thanks to all the folks who visited. 

11 years and more than 500 finds. Been a pleasure reading all the logs!! Sounds like from the last few the cache is not in great shape and the area not so flash now so Im going to archive. Thanks to all who visited, posted photos and exchanged trackables. What a ride!! Cheers, Glenn 

Based on last photo id say the cache has washed away long ago. Time to archive. Thanks to those who visited and posted. 

Needed a clean out and a fresh logbook. Should be good to go now, for a bit longer. Very nearby engineering works though so please be careful and hide well. Not sure how long this hiding place will remain... 

Thanks for the feedback tuolei. Sounds like this ones number is up. That first park has changed a lot since wp1 was first placed and sounding more dodgy by the minute. Will archive. Thanks to those who visited! 

Looks like this cache has run its course. I haven't had a chance to get back there but sounds like the cache has disappeared again. By the sounds of it a lot has changed and the area may not be so good for a cache at the moment. Will shut this one down - thanks to the great many people who stopped by and to those left valuable feedback.

Found (after blaming my phone for bad gps only to realise it was telling the truth) with the express purpose of collecting my trackable, Fathers Day 2010 geocoin, which has been in the wild since, well, then. Many thanks to yorkshirekiwi83 and wb1116 (and a few others over the years) for their efforts in returning it to me. It's great to have it back after 162,000km of travel and 642 log entries over nearly 6 years. It has certainly visited some crazy places!

Thanks to everyone who has picked it up and moved it on and again to those who brought it back .

O. was here earlier this year for school, and we just happened to be driving past. Found after a short search. TFTC. 

Seems to have been found twice since disabling so may as well enable it while there is still something to find! Still endeavoring to get there for a spruce up tho.

Sounding like it needs some attention, especially given the original container is gone and the new one was found lying nearby by a finder. Will try and get to this for a container replacement soon.

Yaaaah!! FTF number 1. A challenge in the dark with minimal hint. Mysterious moving lights turned out to be cats watching me from the gloom. Other than that I was on my own . Thanks for the late night adventure! G.R.O.W. 

Dodged some muggles in hardhats and had to loop round and come back through the bush to check coast clear. Rehid new container containing tb. Need to hide well as this area receives more visits these days. 

Apologies for the long delay. I do intend to replace this cache - hope to get it done during a lunch break this coming week (so before Jan 10) - will bring it back online very soon.

Found on way to Pararara campground. Nice cache. Thanks for the adventure. 

Forgot to look for caches. Had to go bac. 90m and found after short search. TFTC. 

Replaced destroyed box. Location had changed a lot and new location is about 10m east of original coordinates. Live again now 

Gone again. Still a great spot so will open it up for another hide. Thanks to those who visited. 

Muggled after nearly 4 years! Not a bad run all things considered. Thanks Katharina_Eliza for the info and photo - will go and clear up the mess and look at re-hiding nearby. 

Thanks vamber for the detailed post. Container definitely needs work by the sounds - burnt and then crushed! Will try and get to it soon. Disabling for now. 

Quick find on the way back from the cairn cache just down the road. Staying the night at Keddle House, the ARC batch at the end of the road. I have to say that place is STUNNING. A beautiful old house, with some pretty amazing history and with a large sun room overlooking what has to be one of the best views from a batch I have seen.

Great fun exploring a new area for us - TFTC. 

Crikey that's a steep hill on the way back, if you're coming from the Anawhata side. Great view from GZ though and great place to drop a TB from Whangamata. TFTC.

Sounding ominous. It's a big box - should be hard to miss... will take a look. 

Quick find by W after a scan of the beach. Then back down to sit on the log. No wind full tide and plenty of sun. Got our timing just right. Beautiful hidden spot. TFTC. 

First cache in ages! Easy find halfway down this very direct route to the valley! TFTC 

OK, sounds like the tree is no longer prominent! It was in 2010, but then I haven't been there for a while and sounds like there is now an entire garden that didn't exist before either. Will update the hint. Next finder is lucky number 200! 

Late log but thought I should register my DNF (date approx.). Might be blind but we had a pretty thorough look and the clue made it clear where to look I think - but no luck.... then got interrupted while standing on one of the seats peering into the roof cavity. Just moved into the area and the muggle was a neighbour I had just met a few days before. Had to make something up about being 'fascinated by the construction of the stone shelter'. Ahem. Not sure she bought it actually.

Went to check it out after 2 dnfs. Sadly it has gone after the gardeners did some brutal trimming. The place isnt quite as charming as it used to be so i will archive this one today. Thanks to everyone who visited. Hopefully the 3 tbs are in fact still in the wild.
