Flew over the night from Auckland. While waiting for our hotel room, did a nice 8-10 km walk upq there. Quick find. Tftc 

Nobody at home today. Interesting history. I wish you good luck for the campaign. Would be great to have the tunnels restored. Tftc 

This was our second last cache in NZ. Thank you! 

The hint made us dispair but found it in the end. tftc 

We really loved the park and only went there because of this ec. Thank you for showing us yet another amazing spot! We also enjoyed the different tasks. 

Our last cache in NZ. We had a great 3+ weeks in this amazing country. Very often we chose a Place to break our journey based on cache descriptions and logs. That way we came to see many fantastic spots. Thank you and goodbye! 

We almost did not make it... Spent the morning with the Hugo Auckland wherigo. With our misbehaving phone and general stupidness it took longer than we expected and we almost missed the ferry to Half Moon Bay. Then it was 2 km walk to the event. But worth the trouble! This was for us a great goodbye to NZ after spending 3.5 weeks in this fantastic country. Thank you for the opportunity to meet you guys, thank you to the organisers and thank you to all NZ cache owners for the great places we visited thanks to your caches!

We were in a hurry to do this wherigo before the Xmas event. Never has our HTC phone misbehaved so badly. We had not memorised the hint either and spent a looong time at one point trying all different combinations and options... In the end we had the coords, found the cache and even caught the ferry in time to Half Moon Bay for the event. Thanks for this challenging wherigo and for showing us Auckland! 

Thanks to our GPS we could take a scenic walk back to our Air B&B. This nice bridge was on the way. tftc

On this rainy day we visited Buried Village and learned about the sad history. We made also the beautiful waterfalls walk and visited the ec site. Unfortunately we missed the great view because of the weather. The lake was all misty and you could hardly see the contoirs of the mountain. Thank you for placing an ec here.

Thank you for this interesting ec. We truly enjoyed the thermal walk. About a month ago we did similar walk on Big Island of Hawaii where we participated in the first ever GeoVenture on Active Volcanoes. 

What an interesting sight again! NZ is full of amazing places. tftec + fp

Thanks for this interesting ec! We are quite taken by abundance of traces of volcanic activity here. Earth caches are great way to learn.

We came to NZ after spending a week on Big Island of Hawaii on the first ever GeoVenture on Active Volcanoes. It is fascinating how similar and yet different the traces of volcanic activity are in these two hot spots of our planet! 

Logged this cache when tramping down to Whakapapa village. Clouds were down, crossing the river not so easy. Tftc 

After tramping down from Bruce Road to Whakapapa Village in a cloudy day with some drizzle (crossing the river not so easy today) we rewarded ourselves with coffee and milkshake and this cache. tftc 

We really liked the statue. Unfortunately there seem to be Xmas lights hanging on the poor bird... tftc 

Very quiet today. tftc 

A couple of samples of Firewoof's caches gave us reason to pick up exclusively caches of the same CO on our way out of town towards National Park Village. No disappointments there. tftc + fp 

What a beautiful spot! We had difficulties with finding the cache but made it in the end. tftc 

The coords seemed to be off and the hint did not mean anything to us. We wandered around, it was getting dark and Mr Hessut wanted to go for a drink. Then with proper concentration Mrs Hessut saw the light, cryptic hint made suddenly sense and the cache was in her hand. A fine building! In the dark we walked back (while Mrs was searching the restaurant closed and Mr was left without his night cap) through this ghost like township: almost no street lights, no people on streets, almost no lights in houses. We quite enjoyed all mixed impressions! tftc

We ended our day in Tongariro with this pleasant walk to a really beautiful waterfall. It is jnot very tall but so pretty in the middle of lush forest! The cache was easily found in its secluded spot. tftc 

3-4 weeks ago we spent a week on Big Island of Hawaii exploring volcanoes on the first GeoVenture tour. This landscape brought back great memories from our time there. The endless lava fields are awsome! tftc

Tongariro landscape is awsome! The Chateau and some other buildings seem to try to compete in grandeur with the nature. No success there... The hide was kind of cute. Today it was quiet and we could log without any risk to be observed. tftc

I started my first LTR book 44 years ago and have been fan ever since and read them 5 times, I think. We just had to stop for this cache! Thank you for your effort! Great vresult!
