Logs for Lemony Squish 

A quick easy find on a beautiful Christchurch day. Lots of people about, but this corner was nice and quiet which made the find easy. We didn't have a pen so couldn't sign the log. Mixed feelings as this was my first visit into the square since pre-earthquakes. Heart-breaking to see the destruction, but exciting to see the place filling up with exciting new life as well. Thanks for the cache.

Log needs replacing 

Similar experience to the last couple of logs. Hunted around for about 20 minutes with no luck. Then we headed off to get another couple and had another fresh look on the way back for another 20 minutes or so. No luck I'm afraid.

An easy find with not many people about today. Odd for such a nice afternoon I thought. We didn't have a pen so couldn't sign the log, but everything appeared in good condition for what appeared to be a simple hide. Thanks for the cache.

It took us a couple of outings, but we got it with no hiccups (apart from a couple of poor parking choices). TFTC 

We hunted for ages but couldn't track it down.  

Got all the numbers quickly and we headed to to cords. A quick easy find on a cold wet day. TFTC 

It was starting to rain so we didn't search for too long, and the GPS seemed to be bouncing around a little, but I feel like we searched in all the obvious and not so obvious spots. Couldn't find it. There's lot's of signs of trampling around the area. Maybe next time... 

We found a couple of the questions a little ambiguous when it came to a definitive answer, but we were able to discount a couple of possible answers because they would have given very unlikely final coordinates. Left with only a couple of likely spots we found the cache quickly. It does appear to have suffered some damage so couldn't replace it exactly as it was, but is still within a foot of the original location. I will contact the CO with details of the damage and where it has been left.

The family hunted and hunted and hunted and hunted some more, but had no luck. We found the original cache at this site maybe 3 or 4 years ago, but from memory that took us a couple of attempts. This time around it seems beyond us.

Loads of cyclists around today. Almost all have bells, but almost none use them when coming up from behind. Drives me crazy! Anyway...I'll climb dwon from my soapbox before I get really started.

Thanks to tree cover, the GPS was struggling to give me a consistent reading. Thought about heading into the river, but the kids had their eyes open and spotted a track which led to the cache. TFTC

Similar to a recent log from geo_jas the co-ords had us on the wrong side of the track, about 12 meters north of the cache. The kids didn't want to go into the bush so waited in the open and happened to spot it while I scratched around in the wrong spot. Signed the log. TFTC

Hmmmm ... we must have been holding our mouths wrong or something. We just couldn't find it even after about 20 mins of searching with the family of four. Will have another look as this one is very close to home.

We quickly had all the numbers we needed and the code made perfect sense. Everything checked out with the handy tests so were on our way to GZ. Sadly we couldn't find it after hunting around for quite a while. Even the clue didn't help as that seemed to be exactly where we were already. Thanks to tree cover we couldn't pinpoint GZ exactly. Will have to go back and look another day.
