SteamRail Wanganui have agreed to allow the cache as long as people only approach from the river side. Crossing the tracks can lead to a prosecution.

This is just a temporary disabling hopefully. Thanks to W.E.K.A and Markhnz for bringing this up. When I placed the listing I did not know that this was private property and I really didn't even think about contacting the SteamRail society. I have written to them and hopefully they will be able to give me some advice (and permission) and then we can get it re-enabled.

Jono S went to check up on the cache and found it missing so kindly replaced it. Please can the next couple of future finders keep an eye out for the old one which may have strayed to the left of the blue star. Please let me know if find the old one.
Thanks

Got this 1 (of 3 nearby) caches all in a short walk from our Motel before heading back to South Africa. We visited this same site when we arrived and did not realise that we were centimetres from a cache. TFTC,
One of 3 nearby caches found during a short walk from the Motel we stayed at on our way back to South Africa. Picked up the "Pepper" TB after making sure the fishermen were not looking. Great clues, great cache. Didn't see any penguins though.
What a fun cache. We found a nice Irish Pub overlooking the zone where we could sit and drink beer whilst we waited for a clear moment in the square.

don't normally do multi-caches as my wife does not enjoy geocaching and I can't keep her waiting. Today however she was happy to walk around the beautiful lake. I think we got everything right, but we could not find the cache. For reasons described above, I could not re-do the route. Alas, I'm back to South Africa tomorrow so this might take a while to get to again.
Spolier Below:
This is what I had -
39'54.796
175'01.962
Where did I go wrong?
I thought I might be a bit confused about the palm trees and where the boardwalk started and the road ended.
Also what a assumed to be a trick question about the statues, there were just cement slabs so I said 0 statues.
Please let me know.
Thanks for the walk though....

Found on my third visit. Ingenius! Thanks. Took the Cow TB! Was hoping to fit in a Jeep TB from South Africa but it is just too big. Will drop the jeep off somewhere else in Wanganui in the next day or two.

Nice drive out of town. At first a thought the cache was a bit of litter. Thanks.

8th New Zealand cache found on a trip to the lake. Thanks. Quite a bit of "bundu bashing"
