A little Banff caching today. Got 6 of 7 targets, which just gives us an excuse to get back up here.
Fun cache, trying to make the find with lots of tourists around.

A little Banff caching today. Got 6 of 7 targets, which just gives us an excuse to get back up here.
Started on the east side of the river (a 50/50 chance -wrong) as GPSr & Mapsource had the cache in the river. Once we got to the RIGHT side of the river and parked illegally, made the find.

I replaced the log and ziplock bag as suggested in previous posts. What I SHOULD have done is take out the old log and the schwack of loose log papers, now held together by an elastic band(thanks DuckyJo), and mailed it to the cache owner. All that paper makes it hard to close the lid and takes up valuable swag space. It's great to see a cache with that much activity.

A little Banff caching today. Got 6 of 7 targets, which just gives us an excuse to get back up here.
Started on the north side of the creek, where Mapsource had the cache. We could see a great spot across the other side. Looked at the fallen tree over the creek and contemplated the crossing via the slippery log. Na.

Once we got to the right side of the creek, let Uncle Albert make the find - his first time out caching, as DuckyJo & I looked on.
We replaced the log as suggested in previous posts.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada
In Plus 15 level walkway between Telus Convention Centre North and South. Between 8th and 9th Ave, about Centre Street.

Going to an event downtown today. Wouldn't normally have walked this way, but was doing some exploring. Look what I found.

Beside fire dept/EMS downtown building.

My #200 Cache!!
I have never heard this one go off. Hopefully my luck will continue. I assume this siren did dual duty as Civil defence and also as the call for the volunteer fire dept, before town growth allowed for full time fire dept. I will try to find out more.

Thanks for the cache!

12:21pm The hardest part about this is to find someone that is behind a computer to snap the picture when you are there. Hi Mom. Kind of fun! Need more of these in Calgary. People wonder what you are doing standing there, smiling up at a building at lunch time. Good way to get some excercise between meetings. Thanks!!
