After locating one cache after the All Nations Australia Day BBQ we decided to continue on our roll. It was a very hot day and this one was more than 300 away. Hmm... Lots of possibilities to place another here. Pink piggy located this cache in less than a jiffy. My tweezers, a recent addition to my geocaching arsenal, came in handy where our plump fingers were unsuccessful in pulling out the log book. So it was another triple signature find today. Hope to meet ya all again. TFTC.

So this is how it feels like to be STF a brand new recently replaced cache. TFTC Wattle99 and bringing me out to a beautiful mural.
Thank your for your thoughtfulness in keeping us gainfully occupied while waiting for the ferry. Trampled grasses were a misleading give away. As someone pointed out the cache coordinates are slightly off. Today on my phone it registered 4m away. But hey! That's part of the fun of geo caching I reckon. So just widen your search. It isn't on private property as far as I can see. Thanks again for helping us pass the time. Saw 3 gallahs, 2 plovers and 2 boats passing in the process. It's now 3.55 pm.

Will have a look when I'm able. Notes and comments about cache and its movement have been noted. I think some animal has taken a keen interest in this cache in recent days. Thanks to those who found what was left of it and rehid as best they could.

A quick easy find following the clues. Here with Duno and friend. TFTC. Onwards to exploring more of Tassie. After a coffee and orange juice.

Came in the rain the day before and couldn't find it. Came back today on a sunny, but extremely windy, day and yay! Found it!
08-Jan-18
It was a warm morning and our trip out to Port Arthur seemed to coincide with that of a bus load of tourists so when we arrived at this place, so did they. Thankfully they were all more interested in the bread loaves and pans which was a little way away from where this cache was hidden.
I'm glad for the hint because that helped narrow down the search field. I could tell that other cachers had been before me by the trampled grass. Well, can I just say, you don't need to trample down the grass any further because it isn't necessary to do so. I was very pleased that it didn't take me too long to find it. A quick grab, sign and replace without arousing the suspicion of any muggles. TFTC!

Was on a walking tour when we stood right in front of this cache which was one I had identified to do this week. Came back several hours later after Salamanca Market to tackle this cache.
Closing in on it. Saw a small orange Smash container and thought, Could this be it? I opened it but it wasn't the cache. Kept looking. Yes! I see a familiar shape. Retrieved it and went off to park bench to sign it under the cool tree before putting it back while family waited. TFTC! Another one from Tassie!

Description says stubby holder. It's now a black plastic container.
Had to wait a while for bunch of kids to move on. But in the meantime as they were leaving a lady came along and sat on THE bench. So I had to wait for the lady on Park bench to move on so that I could check the place for THE cache.
Had to try to look very preoccupied with my phone. her cigarette was very fresh looking.
Its a busy day. A wonder I wasn't spotted.
More paper required for log.
Right where the hint said it was. An easy find.
BUT there is now a trail of demolished oyster leaf plants. I avoided creating more havoc.
I suggest moving this cache to prevent more damage or negotiate with gardeners to plant something different there.
At the next bench were trampled liliums. Not there. Read the hint.

Meant to add earlier. My first geocache in Tassie. Straight off The Spirit this morning after Maccas. TFTC and a good start to my holidays.
Second find in Tassie straight off The Spirit. Log is in smithereens. I've improvised. Left a small piece of receipt paper and zip lock bag inside.

Congratulations to Quiet1_au for completing and finding all my seven caches in one single excursion and the interesting read!
A brilliant start I reckon to 2018.
Happy New Year!

Yay! I can now turn this to a smiley face. Found with help of Sog12.
I really was very blind!
My daughter and I felt like a good long walk today and this was the perfect destination! TFTC!

After being defeated by BYO H2O I had high hopes of restoring my ego with this cache on the return leg of our bike ride. I thought this would be an easy find - it even said that it was "in the scrub under a tree" - but that was before I'd read all the activity logs (!). After battling the shrubbery and inheriting a few more scratches, I was to be disappointed.
I saw some unusual looking humps in the leaf fall under the trees and started lifting the needle shaped leaves gingerly around it. I was hopeful of seeing my prize. I did find a prize of sort, but alas, not the one I was seeking. Being a keen naturalist, I was quite excited to uncover some rather large white wide capped mushrooms. I am always amazed at how these so very fragile mushrooms can push aside so much dirt to make their way to above ground.
I also saw a mid sized dragon fly in the area - alas the photo was a blurr.
Perhaps I should bring a pair of gloves next time to have a better look around the area.
I'm still puzzled by what a coulord container is - Google thought it was a misspelling.
Would have stayed longer but the kids were making impatient noises for their tummies were reminding them that it was way past lunch time.
As some famous person said, "I'll be back." I hope to turn my DNF to an F sometime soon.

An easy find. Probably because the compass was behaving itself and also because it was sort of sitting out quite visibly. I had a bunch of stuff for swappables but somehow forgot to bring them with me. Been clearing out my kids stuff and found some things that would be perfect for geocaching. After logging my find I tried to hide it best I could. Log book is rather damp but my ball point pen worked well still. Time to check out this track now that I'm here and get my vitamin D and exercise. TFTC

Brought a friend along for the outing today. Seeing that I had to drop one of my kids off to Eastland to meet friends, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to check this cache out. I'm glad I did. I would never have discovered this lovely little park if not for this cache bringing me out here. This is definitely a spot for future picnics and other group gatherings.
After lunch in the park and a stroll around the area, we thought it was time for a spot of cache hunting. The weather was perfect. I could tell I was in the right area because of all the trampled scrubland grasses. I spotted a small yellow flowering plant that the many feet in the area had managed to not trample on. I must say that it was a very clever cache. This is another reason why reading activity logs is so helpful!

Hmmm... Me thinks the hints are too cryptic. Perhaps I should just delete them... Or perhaps that's the extra value puzzle?...
Came back 3 times to the cache. First time, didn't bring a pen. Went to where my kids were on the flying foxes. Told them I'd have to return with a pen.
Son rummages in bag and finds a pen. Hooray. Back to cache. No luck! Dead pen. Cycled home after kids had had enough play. Afternoon is still young. Went out to place a cache and brought a pen along. Finally!
TFTC. Good hide.
PS zip lock bag needs refreshing. Log book is damp.

Yippee! Now I can change my sad face to a smiley face ! While cooling off in the shade logging my previous entry I re read the logs. Then it dawned on me what I'd missed! Went back for another look after the muggles departed. Success is mine. I came, I saw, I conquered. TFTC. Clever!
PS lucky I had a pen with me though. Someone has made off with your pencil.

After tackling the coastal walk and getting closer to my 10000 steps today I thought it was time to tackle this cache. Well I might have done more steps walking around this location than the earlier walk but I have to finally admit that another Bunbury cache has got me stumped! A couple of teenage muggles have just driven up to use the playground equipment so I think it's time to log my DNF and draw a sad and move on. Thanks for my excursion for the day.
07-Dec-17
PS The zip lock bag is looking the worse for wear. Pencil has also done a walkabout.
My first geocache with my sister in Bunbury. Also the first time my sister saw me do something she hadn't seen me do before (hint: read the hint). Thanks for the fun and the cache. A good hiding spot.
05-Dec-17
Didn't take long to find. Good spot. Was a bit windy and the contents kept trying to fly away. Found a long green parrot feather which I managed to squeeze inside. As I'm from interstate I can't take it home with me but someone else can have it. TFTC. As it is snake season I was rather wary.

Every trip to Bunbury I somehow seem to find myself here. This time, you've injected a bit of fun into my visit. Thanks for the cache and questions. Made me notice things that I would never have thought to pay attention to. At least now I know where north, south, east and west are from up there. I'm quite hopeless with compass bearings! TFTC.

A new scroll will be needed soon. Probably sufficient space for another 3 or 4 finds. If they have small handwriting

After two attempts today, second time with an extra pair of eyes in the shape of my niece, I have to admit defeat. But only for today. This is an easily accessible one so will keep persevering while I'm in Bunbury. Near walking tracks so always a good excuse to return. Part of f my adventure today was when a protective mother duck with 7 ducklings darted towards me in an aggressive warning posture. Lucky for me I had my hand bag to keep its sharp beaks away from my legs. Saw ibises, willy wag tails, and possibly a spoon bill. This is a magnificent wetland boardwalk. The huge tea trees (?) standing in the swamp was pretty amazing too. Could hear an owl hooting away.

Thank you Leafotwind for your observation about the easiest route between Wetland Whispers and this cache if approaching on foot.
There is a bridge at the Zodiac Ct Baryn St playground that you can take to cross the creek. Then turn into Octavia Ct and head through the gate past Octavia Ct Playground. Keep walking in a northerly direction until you get to the main entry /exit of this particular field. I'm intentionally not mentioning names past this point as you have to read the poem .

Had a quick search but couldn't find it. Hope to give it another go some other time. Was in a hurry.

I am rather vertically challenged so didn't rise to the final challenge. Got within cooee range I reckon.

Thanks for this fun hide and find. Not too difficult which is great for beginners like us.
Ya ya ya! I found it at last! Need to bring a pen to log it down next time. Thanks for this frustrating hide but which I was glad to locate in the end. Must have tried 5 or 6 times before I located it. Partly because I was expecting 100% GPS accuracy which was where I went wrong.

Thanks for this fun cache. My friends and I had a bit of fun looking for it. Learnt about murnongs in the process. Thanks. Didn't see any though ... Next time. Now that I know where they could be, will look out for them.

Thank you! This was our very first Geo cache so it will be a very special memory for me and my kids! Look forward to finding more!
And to think that my kids and I had gone past this spot countless times and not realized the treasure here. This was our second found and we're enjoying it. Thank you!
