Quick find today before the sun went down. Thanks!

Quick find tonight after resorting to using the hint. However, I was unable to access the log as I did not bring the proper equipment for extraction. I can provide the CO with pictorial proof of my find, if desired. Thanks!

Quick trip, just passing through, so it was nice to find a quick cache in a new part of town. Thanks!

Quick find today with no one around. Thanks!

I came here the previous night but was foiled but the presence of several tourists taking pictures. I returned the next morning and had the place almost entirely to myself. Quick find, thanks!

I tried and failed to find this one the other day. After reading some previous logs, I realized I was looking around the wrong height (and my bouncing GPSr didn't help). The next trick was figuring out how to get to where I needed to go... Once there, it was no problem. Thanks!

I was in town for a few days and enjoyed walking by these plaques. I'm not sure I saw them all (due to ongoing construction) but I certainly saw most. I selected James Michener. Journey is the only of his works that I've read (perhaps due to its brevity, which is something of an anomaly in his oeuvre) but I hope to read some of his better-known works someday. Thanks!

Logging with cache owner's permission. I visited Kata Tjuta while on a whirlwind daylong tour of the park. We had just a short time here but long enough to take some pictures and get the answers to the questions. Beautiful place! Thanks.

First find in NT. Had a few minutes to spare during a break on our trek to Uluru-Kata Tjuta. Great view in both directions! Thanks.

I visited Uluru while on a whirlwind daylong tour of the park. My time here was all too short but long enough to take lots of pictures and get the answers to the questions. I'm glad I came all the way out here. Thanks! (Email with answers sent).

Had trouble locating the other day so I returned today armed with a clue. Log was a bit damp but it didn't bar me from signing. Thanks!

My first cache in Canberra! Found this relatively quickly with daylight running out. Thanks!

I arrived on the scene after dark but was not entirely alone as there were a number of joggers and cyclists passing a little ways off. A nice place to sit and reflect for awhile. Thanks!

24-Jun-12
I wandered down here early this morning so there was no one around. Nice little spot. Thanks!

My first cache in Australia! Folks were setting up for a wedding nearby; they had a beautiful day for it. Nice area and nice views. Thanks!

#13 in Ireland. I've been looking forward to this one for awhile now, seeing as Mrs. D has been telling me about it for years. We started planning our trip months ago and this spot always popped up on the list of places to visit. Funny thing is, Mrs. D can no longer stomach getting close to the edge. Well worth the effort getting here, it is an amazing place. Thanks!

#4 in Ireland. Mrs. D scurried off to take pictures of the ruins of the old church and abbey; her folks and I wandered off toward the cache. Quick find on this sunny day. Thanks!

Mrs. D and I went for a walk around Burke Lake today. Nice day for a walk and some caching! Mrs. D spotted this one first. I always enjoy finding these older caches; there's something comforting about them and I usually know what to expect. I guess I'm old-fashioned. TNLN, thanks!

This was our last NZ cache, and we couldn't have asked for nicer weather. Funny that the warmest weather we had in NZ was when we we were as far south as we would get on our trip!

Thanks and greetings from Virginia, USA!

Found this towards the end of our stay on the South Island. Very weird to come this close to a part of something so far away...

I was on my way to class when I heard the news on the radio. I remember watching the events unfold on a TV that had been set up in the student center and trying with classmates to make sense of what had happened... That day seems so distant and yet the memories are still so real. Let such horrid acts never happened again, anywhere.

I started to wonder if our little rental car was going to make it as we approached the viaduct. I'm glad it did because there's a nice view at the top! Also, this was where we first spotted a kea (it seemed pretty interested in another car in the parking lot).

Thanks; greetings from Virginia, USA!

The good weather continued as we headed further south... after an awesome hike on the glacier, we had to skip town and head north again. Before we left, though, we found this cache.

Thanks; greetings from Virginia, USA!

This place was great! We really enjoyed crossing the bridge (we took the comet line back) and hiking around the other side before looking for this cache. Also, this day we saw our first sunshine in several days, so we were especially excited.

Thanks; greetings from Virginia, USA!

We were unlucky with the weather the whole time we were in and around Abel Tasman NP. It was raining as we looked for the cache. Got to the first stage with no problem and slipped around near the second stage. Had some difficulty at first understanding the hint but eventually things made sense when I spotted the cache from the proper angle.

TFTC, greetings from Virginia, USA!

Nice place for a cache! Found it with no trouble and saw the previous finders driving off as I logged our find. I had to laugh because we'd definitely been caught! TFTC; greetings from the USA!

Our first cache on the South Island after landing at Picton the previous day. Interesting spot and a nice place for a cache! We decided to pick up the coin--its goal is to visit as many countries as possible, so we'll move it along soon! Thanks.

This was a quick find (with help from the hint) even during the morning rush. Since it was raining, I walked around to find some shelter to log the find--the log was pretty much full. Thanks!

Great spot to look out over the city--it was an amazing view but man was it chilly! We took a few pictures but ran back to the car after a short while. Thanks for pointing this place out to us!

We went looking for penguins; it must have been too early in the day (or maybe the season?) to spot them so we settled instead for the scenery and some caches. Interesting spot that left me wondering about its history. TNLN, thanks!

It was a chilly day in Napier so my wife opted to check out the Art Deco store while I looked for this cache. Nice hide! TNLN, thanks!

During our first few days in country, we stuck to Auckland as we adjusted to the time difference. One day we took the ferry out to Rangitoto; this was our first of several that day. Beautiful day for caching, not too many people around... According to the camera, there should be about 21 pictures left. TNLN, thanks!

(I'd mention the wet logs and the cracked container, but I'm logging our NZ finds a few weeks after the fact and I see that the problem has already been resolved!)

This marks two milestones--it was our first cache in New Zealand and also our first find as a married couple! Okay, we're dorks. Thanks!

Email is on its way. I've passed this location so many times but I don't think I've ever read the inscription before. Lots of good food nearby... Thanks!
