Logs for de ja vu

It has become habit to call in to the 1st stage of this multicache each time we are in Howlong. After another thorough search this morning we then proceeded to GZ to finally sign the cache. We enjoy the challenge of an elusive cache and this one has had us scratching our heads for a while. Thanks Lostmonster & Co for the challenging cache.

This was a great hide in full view. Im curious about what might have been the previous or original cache. It felt like the cache information was all hint and no background info. Apologies for the delayed log. Thanks Groover1989 for the cache.

Enjoying a brief respite from unboxing and moving furniture we devoted some time to a few local caches, new and old. We have only briefly driven into Springhurst before but driven past many times. We now have a better idea where to meet people arriving by train Thanks BootnBee for another local cache.
We are a little distracted on our way to Wangaratta and decided to pick up a few local caches. Our days have been filled with packing and relocating so it was a welcome distraction to explore some picturesque scenery and unfamiliar roads. This cache was a beauty. Rob was onto it before I had a chance to look. Great hide and we will definitely be back to do more of this series. Thanks Harrowang for the great cache.
Another very well themed cache in this series of unusual things. A lot of effort has gone into this display which is worthy of much appreciation, or maybe irritation by the locals, lol. Certainly a great spot to collect information for a multi. Im glad you brought us here with a cache to explore more of our local scenery.A favourite point for a bit of quirky distraction. Thanks BootnBee for the cache.
We escaped our house of boxes to pick up some essential hardware items and found some time to be distracted by some local caches. Being the first time on this road we were a bit distracted by the beautiful scenery and then the building appeared. What a beauty that has stood proud all this time. This was a great location for a cache. A favourite point for location and views. Thanks BootnBee for another interesting cache.
It was nice to be out in the sunshine distracted by some geocaching. This was a beautiful view on a road weve not travelled before. A long goods train went through while we were signing the log. Thanks Bingley3683 for the cache and bringing us to this lovely view.

Day 2 of moving weekend and sure enough some new caches pop up in our neighbourhood. True, we probably live the closest and we are familiar with this structure after recently publishing some caches nearby. Mid afternoon we needed to do another trip between Corowa & Rutherglen so we made a detour to search for this one. Weve often wondered what the back story was here. Ends up it wasnt anything remotely sinister ***FTF*** at 2.21pm.Now we need to return to the never ending box unpacking Thanks BootnBee for another great cache in your series.

Over the last 11 months we pass this cache twice a day, sometimes more, but occasionally we travel the back way along Distillery Road between Rutherglen and Corowa, and dont come past the Wahgunyah sign at all. Our days of travelling past so often are coming to an end so today we finally stopped to sign the log. We will miss the scenery along this road, the changing fields, the livestock, the nearly completely broken windmill, and the 2 kestrels we spot every trip. But fortunately we wont be far away once we settle into our Rutherglen home. Thanks team RUB for the cache.

***FTF*** at 2.20pm. We are really enjoying the variety of new geocaches that are being hidden locally. This was no exception. As we walked toward gz we were feeling a bit nervous that we might be underprepared. Our search was rewarded with a very creative hide and well concealed log. Thank you BootnBee for another very enjoyable cache in your Rutherglen Revival Series.

***FTF*** at 8.15am. Llamas make excellent protectors of sheep. Camels are cousins of Llamas and don't need shearing, so maybe a good match to protect this flock of woolly sheep. Camel milk would also be another excellent resource to develop in this very productive farmland around Rutherglen. The sheep were far more curious to watch what we were doing, the camels took off to the other side of the paddock, so who knows if they would protect the sheep???Thanks for a cache in such a pretty farmland setting BootnBee.
***FTF*** at 8.25amThanks for bringing us out to enjoy this beautiful view on yet another scenic approach to Rutherglen on a beautiful winter's morning. The building is looking a bit windblown and deserted but would be the ideal elevated milking shed for the camels down the road. The views from the deck must be amazing, but hold onto your hat when the wind blows, lol.Another great hide to highlight the sights around Rutherglen, thanks for the cache BootnBee.

Today was finally the day that we explored these tracks by bike. We have previously driven the beginning of the track by car but wisely reversed out at the first big pothole. It was fairly muddy today and there werent many campers along the river but many might have left due to the extreme weather forecast for this afternoon. There were some great river views and some fascinating campsites. We found the cache safely tucked away in place. Thanks Jacks crew for an enjoyable cache.
We knew there were storms due in the later part of the day so we set off early to enjoy a river bike ride along these tracks. It was interesting seeing the vineyards from a different angle. It was a great track for bike riding but by midday the rain and thunder seemed to start earlier than forecast. It ended up being short lived, followed by a massive storm in the evening. We will be back to continue exploring the tracks another time. We at least found this cache before we retreated back to Wahgunyah. Thanks TeamThommo for the well hidden cache.

Today we were off to lunch with family in Euroa. On our way we stopped in Violet Town for morning tea. Unlike our last visit to Violet Town, today was very sunny. This was our first cache for the day and a very enjoyable hide. Thanks Team BGF for a great cache.
Last time we visited Violet Town we dodged rain drops to visit Helping Hands cache, an informative tribute to the train tragedy. In sunnier conditions today we visited this memorial at the cache site. We sat in awe, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the impact of this rail disaster.Theres obviously been a bit of local rain as we dodged puddles at gz. Cache found in good condition. Thanks Team BGF for a cache in memory of the people who died in this historic rail tragedy.

***FTF*** 11amAfter searching for quite a while yesterday afternoon we felt the need to return for another sweep of the area. We spent much longer looking than I want to admit! After widening our search and re-looking where we thought we looked briefly yesterday, it was a relief to finally find the sneaky little hide. There were quite a few eye rolls and finger pointing at who overlooked the hide and was convinced that it wasn't there, lol. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for your clever hide in such an interesting location and keeping us interested enough to return until we found it today. We took your pathtag, I don't think I have this one, but left the TB for the next finder.

A fascinating spot but after 3 pairs of eyes looking for quite a while we gave up. The hide was too good for us. Thanks for the challenge

Thanks Thewins5 for organising an Event for IGD. It was a misty day but good to see so many geocachers gather to share our passion. As it turned out, it was comforting to see the compassionate geocaching community supporting people in need. Kudos to Lex, Peter & all involved for how the events were managed. Thanks for the yummy choccy bickies too.

Weve traveled past this one often, but today was dry and sunny and I needed a stretch from a long drive. Great hide, tricky to locate, but just where it was expected to be.Thanks opted-out user for an enjoyable cache and a safe spot to pull off the road.
