Hobart was the last port of call for our group of 7 ladies from NZ doing a 2 week road trip around Tasmania. As I was the only cacher, virtuals were really the only caches I was able to try and get. I had just visited the market which I have to say is the biggest market I have ever seen and spent a few hours wandering up and down the stalls. I had a lovely tiny pewter penguin in my pocket that I had just bought when I realised this virtual was here so I battled the crowds to get a photo as it was extremely busy around here!
Hobart was the last port of call for our group of 7 ladies from NZ doing a 2 week road trip around Tasmania. As I was the only cacher, virtuals were really the only caches I was able to try and get. I dragged one of the team to visit the steps after we had spent a few hours wandering around Salamanca market. I struggled to find the answer to question 1, the sign has possibly gone but the CO is kindly letting me log. I always enjoy visiting places that have an interesting history and these steps were no exception, especially as Kelly had a connection to NZ albeit not a pleasant one!
Hobart was the last port of call for our group of 7 ladies from NZ doing a 2 week road trip around Tasmania. As I was the only cacher finding physical caches was rather tricky. I was returning to the hotel and passing this cache so I asked my friend if she minded me having a look. I noticed a girl sitting down and then saw she was returning the log to the cache so it was rather a quick find for me. She didnt make it that easy for me though as she made sure I had to get to the log myself which I did easily. Thanks for the cache, my last one in Tasmania before heading home.
Wow, what a view from up here! We were lucky as the cloud cover was closing in so we got to see the view before it disappeared. I couldnt quite get to the top of the trig as there were already 6 people up there and there was no room but I was only a few steps away

Hobart was the last port of call for our group of 7 ladies from NZ doing a 2 week road trip around Tasmania. As I was the only cacher, virtuals were really the only caches I was able to try and get. We stopped in this lovely park for a rest after wandering around town and I took the opportunity to get the answers required and my photo. What a lovely park.

The last person had pushed it in a little too far so I tried using my pen to push it through but then that got stuck, so I tried another pen from the other side and that got stuck!! Thankfully I found a stick I could use and managed to retrieve both my pens and the cache, phew!!

Im visiting Tasmania with a group of ladies from NZ, me being the only cacher so finding caches has been tricky. We stopped to have a walk to the lighthouse so I ducked away to grab the cache here while they were busy taking photos. A nice easy find and so they barely noticed I was missing

Im staying in Bicheno with a group of ladies from NZ, all non cachers which makes getting caches difficult! Whilst they had an afternoon rest I strolled along to the blowhole. The cache wasnt too hard to find and then I managed to get a great video of the blowhole in action. What a fabulous spot!!
Im travelling with a group of ladies from NZ around Tasmania, none of whom are cachers. They humoured me while I got this one which thankfully wasnt too hard to find. Great views from up here but no whales to be seen today
The blowhole was really going off when I visited so I couldnt get too close without getting wet but I got a fabulous video of it. My photo for the log isnt quite so impressive! FP for bringing me here.

I was staying nearby but Im with a group of non cachers so caching is difficult. I couldnt locate the hint item here, the only seat was a good 30m away by the road. I had a quick look around where my phone pointed me but had to walk away without a find

Im with 6 other ladies from NZ travelling around Tasmania for 2 weeks. Im the only geocacher so caching is tricky. I managed to get the first 3 answers while exploring then did an early morning walk up to the cemetery so I could complete the Ad Lab. the final wasnt too far from where I was staying so it was easy to get my name on the log. Ive really enjoyed my stay here in this lovely town.

A nice quick find while passing through Sheffield on our way to Cradle Mpuntain. I absolutely loved all the murals, very cool

This is definitely not a T1.5! With a bad knee and dodgy hip and with a couple of ducks standing guard in the middle I wasnt prepared to possibly have an early morning swim so had to leave this. And it was so close to where Im staying too!!! The T rating should be much higher.
Wow, what a fabulous place. We did the chairlift across and came back via the suspension bridge Im with a group of muggles so virtuals are pretty much the only caching Im able to do.
I am staying just 300m from here so I took an early morning stroll to the gardens. It was way too early for the monkeys to be up and about, they would have still been snoozing so it was just me and an empty enclosure

We arrived in Launceston this morning g in the pouring rain but thankfully the rain cleared. This virtual was barely 300m from my accommodation so of course I had to wander along to check it out.

Im in Melbourne for 2 nights on a stopover to Tasmania. I was heading down to Port Melbourne to visit my niece and was a little early so diverted to do this virtual. Quite fascinating plaques these! Information gathered and answers sent to the CO.
We had 2 nights in Melbourne on a stopover on our way to Tasmania. I was pretty tired after spending the morning wandering round Melbourne and saw this virtual was on my way back to my accommodation. I went up the stairs then realised my view of Bunjil was blocked off so headed back down. From where I was I calculated I was 86m away at a bearing of 198.
Im visiting from NZ, on a brief stopover on our way to Tasmania. A Tai Chi class was happening nearby when I visited today. Thankfully I had a scrap of paper in my bag so I could add my number.
I nice easy find on a morning stroll taking in the sights of Melbourne
I was heading back to my hotel after a morning walk around Melbourne doing Ad Labs and virtuals. Some muggles were having a chat nearby so after a brief look I took a seat to read logs to see if I could glean any information. Next thing I saw what was obviously 2 other cachers who just happened to be hosting an event this morning. Well they were on form as they found the cache quickly then I followed them to their event
I fortuitously bumped into the COs at a cache just down the river and they mentioned they were hosting an event so of course I had to go! My first event in Australia as Im visiting from NZ. I couldnt stay long as I needed to head back to my hotel to change as I was meeting up with my niece but it was lovely to meet fellow cachers. Thanks for hosting
In Melbourne for 2 nights stopover on our way to Tasmania from NZ. After coffee I wandered down here to do this virtual. Stunning day today
In Melbourne for 2 nights stopover on our way to Tasmania from NZ. It was getting busy with morning peak traffic but I managed to get all the information required. Answers sent to the CO
No one around early this morning so could have a good look and feel around. Couldnt find anything resembling a cache, only some fresh roses placed near by
In Melbourne for 2 nights stopover on our way to Tasmania from NZ. This was across the road from where I was staying so it was an easy walk by on my way back from exploring.

In Melbourne for 2 nights stopover on our way to Tasmania from NZ. This wasnt far from where I was staying and an easy find thanks to the spoiler photo as it was busy as there appeared to be a protest of some sort nearby. I found 2 containers, both identical so signed both log books as I didnt know which was the right one.
In Melbourne for 2 nights stopover on our way to Tasmania from NZ. I had 2 muggle friends in tow but they quite enjoyed helping me find the information I required. Im glad I did this on the first day as the bridge was closed the following day to pedestrians. Answers sent to CO

Id just got home after catching up with my nephew for his birthday when the pings of new caches started. When I saw Orewa in the name of one I had to put down the glass of wine Id just poured and head out the door. I managed to find a park in the theatre carpark despite there being a show on this evening and set off to find the cache. My ph was bouncing all over the place so it was hard to get a fix on where to look so I searched several spots with no luck. My phone battery was also about to die too so that put the pressure on, and also the car park was filling rapidly with theatre goers and I was feeling guilty at taking up a car park. Then I spied a piece of punga bark but it wasnt at the base of a tree and there was nothing under it. Damn, I was ready to give up when I thought Id check out a couple of other trees before heading to my car. Phew, glad I did as I managed to finally catch the loose bug and sign the log for {FTF} at 7pm. FP added for the cute cache.Time to go home and enjoy that wine Id poured!
I met up with AV to collect a few of the new caches in the area. Ive not been here before so an interesting view. The cache took a few minutes to spot

Our last cache of the morning as my knee was starting to get sore. We checked one possible place as I didnt want to head down under with my dodgy knee. After no luck in that spot I read Gorbys log and realised we had to go further down.Thankfully AV soon found the cache. I think the terrain rating needs upping a notch, it would be very slippery when wet
Thankfully I read some logs after we were failing to find the cache where our phones pointed us and we went to the other side of the path. Found the cache a little higher than I expected but we found it
Out in the area with AV to collect some caches. This one didnt take too long for me to spot
While AV went and got the car so I didnt have too walk any further than I had to with my bung knee, I grabbed a coffee from across the road then we headed up to this cache where AV managed to lose her pen after signing the log
Met up with AV to find a few caches in the area and this was the first of the day. The log was being signed as I arrived
I was grateful for my waterproof shoes as the grass was long and wet. Cache was soon found
We spent quite sometime frisking the wrong trees and frustration was setting in so I decided to check out some other places. Just as well I did as I spied the cache away from where my ph was pointing me!
My knee didnt particularly like the grassy path we took to this cache. Once at gz the cache didnt take too long to find
This took a bit of searching especially as we were initially looking too low. A systematic search and AV spied the hide
Rather than duck under the fallen tree we back tracked and walked the road and found an easier path to access the cache. This took a bit of searching and I was very grateful when AV called out shes found it
They were gearing up for a cricket game nearby so it was starting to get busy. AV found it where Id already looked, oh well just as well she checked on me!

I had an appointment in Avondale so I decided to do the Ad Lab as I was in the vicinity. I struggled at the kiosk one as I couldnt find the information so did a PAF. I went back and found the plaque covered in leaves so no wonder I couldnt find it! Otherwise this was a nice stroll on a Thursday morning. Cache was a quick easy find.
I was in the area so called by to pick this up. I had to dig around a bit before finding the cache. The log was wet but I was able to scribble my name just as the rain started falling
A fun puzzle to solve and I got the green tick first pop. Today I was heading to see my dr and was early as the traffic was much better than I expected so I decided to stop to get a cache and this one was kind of on the way. At gz I thought Id made a quick find but it turned out that what I was inspecting wasnt the cache. I then called the CO as my PAF to see if I needed to get down and dirty which would be tricky with my dodgy knee but it turned out I didnt need to. Now that is one sneaky hide!! I dont think this cache will go walk about! Nice work here so its getting a FP from me.
