There were no camellias in bloom so I was unsure if I was in the correct area at first (I was). Found it quickly enough though! TFTC
08-Oct-22
Found it, the paper log was a bit too tight for me to take out unfortunately. Glad I have my tetanus shot!
01-May-22
Had a good walk this morning - got confused by the other poles at Mackie's Rest before eventually finding the correct one thank the GPS for bringing me to the correct spot!
18-Apr-22
Now I've lived in Glendene my whole life, but never knew there was a cave down the road! The things I discover through Geocaching, gotta love it. This took a bit of hunting to find the correct tree fern, but I eventually found it. Went further off track than I expected from the description. Nice camo, felt like an abnormally shaped coconut.
20-Mar-22
Third time's the charm! Finally found it with the help of my front camera. Weird because I'd looked in the same spot before and didn't see anything - guess I didn't look hard enough. GZ is off by several metres, at least on my phone.
14-Mar-22
First thing I saw at GZ was the crash barrier but thanks to the hint, I turned to the other structure nearby. Was a quick find as I've found similar hiding spots before!
13-Mar-22
Nice short walk over from the Ĺkaurirahi carpark. At first it did not appear to be where I expected, until I bent down further to take a closer look. Many bugs flying about. Great little bridge made by the community, for the community!
08-Feb-22
Found it on 23/02/21 with sun_fadango, only realised now that it wasn't logged online oops!
04-Feb-22
50th find! Great way to round off a series of finds in New Lynn this evening. Quite a lot of rubbish nearby. Unfortunately could not unscrew the jar open so did not sign the paper log.
The hint made it a quick, easy find - didn't realise there was a little skate park here. Covered it up a bit so the cache was less exposed (in case a muggle stumbles upon it down there)!
03-Feb-22
Took the hint a bit too literally at first, but after a lil message to the CO I realised where it was!

Paper cache was a little damp but otherwise in good condition - TFTC!
Poked around at GZ and the structures there. Found nothing. Wish there was a little more information in the hint lmao
Don't know what the original cache looked like, but the replacement one was a lot longer than I expected when I pulled it out of its hiding spot. In pristine condition TFTC
31-Jan-22
A quick find after work. Got a nice view of the Burger King across the street haha. Covered it with natural camouflage for the next person to find
30-Jan-22
Another cool find in the cemetery today! That is one big gum tree. Covered it up a bit with nearby plant material so it is less exposed.
Didn't really feel like rummaging through the trash at the site. Might try again another day with gloves and a rubbish bag.
This is my second time searching for this in the span of a week. Checked at the bases of all the posts but there's nothing there. Don't know if I'm not looking hard enough or if it went missing again...
29-Jan-22
This took several rounds of walking up and down the stairs to find. Eventually spotted it and used a stick to nudge it out of its hiding spot. Got bit by many mozzies.
26-Jan-22
Super cool cache, was expecting the rest of the body to be attached to it haha. Struggled to find the actual container with the paper log for a moment but noticed it after a little scrambling around ground level. TFTC!
22-Jan-22
Cache was a bit damp but otherwise in good condition. Got a nice view of a pipeline from a different angle. TFTC.
21-Jan-22
This was actually my third time searching for this and am glad I finally found it. Third time's the charm! Should've taken a closer look for something rusty during the previous searches...
Took me a bit of poking around the branches for a sistema container until I realised I was barking up the wrong side of the (fallen) tree...had the wrong colour and direction in mind!
Took me a bit of poking around the branches searching for a familiar blue sistema container until I realised I was barking up the wrong side of the (fallen) tree...
20-Jan-22
Took me a moment of poking around with a stick. It was quite loose when I found it, just under a pile of leaves. I've wedged it in, so hopefully it matches the hint better for the next person to find!
19-Jan-22
An easy park n grab next to the kindergarten I attended almost twenty years ago!
14-Jan-22
The GPS was struggling to get me to the exact spot but the description and hint came through. A nice little find - out in the open yet still inconspicuous. TFTC!
09-Jan-22
Cool find while out at Piha for the day. The hint felt extremely vague to me at first but once I found it, I understood. Adding a photo of a log to my log
06-Jan-22
Was planning to just walk to this point and go back but after walking downhill so much I guess I am completing the restof the loop after the Beveridge Track! Cache (both the containers and log) was a bit damp but otherwise it was a nice, easy find thanks supernanny!
03-Jan-22
Thanks supernanny for another cool find! The description was spot on, awesome to see these little figurines inside. TFTC.
Another rusty find with sun_fadango! It was a nice walk through this heritage trail after completing the Karamatura loop earlier in the day. TFTC!
As others have mentioned, the GPS is a bit off but the description is spot on. The log and pill bottle inside the jar were a bit damp when I found it.
Awesome find on a sunny afternoon! Took a bit of searching, but eventually spotted it. Nice camoflage. We also found a trackable in there but are leaving the fun for someone else to move it around
02-Jan-22
TFTC! Another New Years Day find (but logged late...), I'm glad the trees were spaced out here so it was easy to walk through the bushy area without getting twigs and webs on me.
Did not have a magnet at the time but luckily it was able to be pulled out with fingers. As others have mentioned, the GPS is a little off but still quite close. Thanks for providing some New Years fun!
Stopped by here on my way home from work. An nice easy find in the shade on a sunny afternoon! TFTC
One of the coolest caches I've seen! Love that it's handpainted and how the magnets are incorporated into the design.
30-Dec-21
(Spoiler in the photo!) Found down here while spending the night in Tauranga. Used my wireless earbuds case as a makeshift magnet. Couldn't get it out of its little hiding spot, but after comparing with past activity photos I am confident it was what I was searching for.
26-Dec-21
Did not expect such an easy walk into the bush (compared to other finds which have involved stumbling into branches and spider webs). This park has a nice swing to sit on and enjoy the shade. The log was a bit damp.
