Grabbed a quick cache before heading back to base in Griffith. I wasnt too sure on what I was meant to be looking for, but we found it with ease. Beautiful day to be out and about. Thanks for the cache !

Found this one yesterday with Mrwhiskers76, its been quite a while since weve both found a cache together. Safe to say he had the eagle eyes this time. Were on our way to Callala Beach from Griffith, NSW Thank you for the cache, it was definitely sneaky! Have a happy and safe 2024! Picture from our recent travels.

06-Nov-23
On a trip to Melbourne, from Griffith NSW for the Ridin Hearts Festival. It was a great night last night! While waiting to go to our lunch reservation we thought wed have a crack at some caching, which we havent done it while. With all of the favourite points, this one tickled our fancy... off we went, the roads are quite hectic compared to Griffith with some knowledge about horses I was able to throw some guesses around and with that we were able to sign the log. Thank you for a great cache! The logbook could do with being a ziplock baggy. Otherwise all is in good order. A picture of one of my old horses, Rango.

While we had sometime until we had to be at our lunch reservation we thought wed try our luck at finding some caches. This is our second find of the day. Upon walking to GZ we spotted it instantly. The lid on the container was open, and the log book has gotten a bit mouldy and damp - it is still singable. The log book has been defaced some silly drawings, so could be due to be changed out. Weve hidden it a bit better as it was out in the open, but is in the same spot. Thank you for an interesting cache!

No luck with this one, on to the next! Hopefully next time Im up this way Ill find it.. thanks!

Managed to find this one today! Currently in the area for deployment with work to assist with the fire in the Watagans NP. I had some time to kill this afternoon and this cache happened to be right near the car.. off I went, it took a little bit of searching.. tired eyes ? I was stumped..! After a while and nearly giving up, I just so happened to look at it from a different perspective and Brendas ya uncle, theres the cricket ! Cache contents was slightly damp and could do with some replacement papers soon, but otherwise all is well. Thank you for the cache!

Found the container, but no log to be seen. This one may need some attention. Thank you anyways !

Lovely spot to sit and watch the birds and boats. After re-reading a lot of things, I managed to find the cache. Very clever hide, thank you!

Out for a rest day today while on deployment for the Watagans NP fire. Thought Id go out and do some caching and to have a look around the area. I saw this one, as well as the favourite points, and added it to the list. After a bit of a search and thinking yes..? No..? Surely not. There it was. A little stealth was required due to the muggles and a council worker doing some whipper snipping up the track a little. I retrieved the cache signed the log and returned in a flash. This one deserves a favourite point. Thank you!

03-May-23
Currently doing some work around Yanga NP and got time to stop and grab a cache or two before going back to camp for the night. Cache contents is in ok condition could do with a little bit of maintenance but otherwise in a singable condition. Thank you! Definitely worth while stopping in at the campground for lunch or the Wool Shed, great little spot to learn some history about the area.

On a work trip, actually doing some works at the Wool Shed this week. I saw this cache the last time I was down and finally got time to stop and check out this cache! Cache is in good condition and signed and replaced. Thank you!

Attending the mega events today. First maze I’ve been in. Great facts about caching in the area and caching in general. Thank you!

First mega event I’ve been to. I drove down with Mrwhiskers76 from Griffith. Very interesting puzzles and gadget caches to solve. Thank you!

We spotted some wild Emus on our adventure down to Victoria!

Attending today, very excited !

Heading back to Griffith with Mrwhiskers76. We stopped in young for lunch and grabbed a tree climb cache. I had three trackables to drop off in this cache today. The staff were great, thank you.

11-Mar-23
A day spent out and about, we went to Coolamon early this morning and made our way back to Griffith via Ardlethan. We stopped off for a cache and were on our way.

Upon arrival Mrwhiskers76 spotted a lizard nearby, guarding our venture towards the GZ.

We soon had the cache in hand thanks to Mrwhiskers76’s early eyes replaced as found.

All contents was dry and lots of room left on the paper for future logs. Thank you!

Out caching with Mrwhiskers76 today, upon arrival we weren’t sure what we were initially looking for. While doing a loop around, I look over and Mrwhiskers76 is filling out the log..! He strikes again.
The log definitely needs to be replaced.

Love the camo! Thank you for the cache.

Out caching with Mrwhiskers76 today. We parked the and walked to GZ. Of course we realised you could drive to the cache after the fact, buts that’s ok. We looked at different animal tracks on the dirt road and dragon flies were in abundance.

Mrwhiskers76 made the climb, but we realised the cache was actually on the ground. He made the claim back up the tree to replace it to its former home.

Thank you for the cache, all was dry and room on the log.

Out caching with Mrwhiskers76 today. Upon arrival to the cache I had a few ideas on where the cache could be.

Just as I got out of the car and turned around, Mrwhiskers76 had already found the cache and had it in his hands at the car. He strikes yet AGAIN!!

I got to speak to Santa on the pay phone, it was great!

The log was dry and still has plenty of room, thank you!

Out caching with Mrwhiskers76 today. We made our way to GZ, and thought it was in somewhere else but we kept with the coordinates and they were spot on.

We signed the log and replaced as found. We might take the bikes out, when I get around to getting L’s and the bike road legal …

Thank you for the cache! All was dry and lots of room on the log.

04-Dec-22
Out caching with Mrwhiskers76 today after lunch. Upon arrival to GZ we saw a very healthy looking Blue Tongue scurry across the path.

Walking to GZ, we noticed the grass is quite long and cured. Looking around there were a few possible spots for a cache of this size, but where to find it?

Mrwhiskers76 and I both took different approaches from one and other. The search took a little while, and just as I’d gotten an idea of what we are looking for, thanks to the hint and reading past logs. Mrwhiskers made the find. The camo isn’t something I’d seen before, it’s very unique!

We signed the log and replaced as found, adding another smiley to the map in this area.

Thank you for this cache, it was great!

After seeing this greyed out on the map, Mrwhiskers76 and I were intrigued.

We made our way to GZ after parking the car nearby. The walk over to GZ was much better than a recent few we’ve been to, the grass everywhere has been so long ! Not the worry, wearing the appropriate clothes and footwear will help a lot..

Back to the cache, we made out to GZ. Looking around we noted a few possible spots. Mrwhiskers made the find.

The cache container and log were all in tact.

Thank you !

29/11/2022

Out caching with Mrwhiskers76, after not caching in quite a while. We managed to tick a few off the list that are now somewhat local to us.

We made our way to GZ and eyed off a few possible spots, mrwhisker making the find. I grabbed the cache from where it was hidden without disturbing the surroundings too much. All of the contents was dry and plenty of room on the log. We added some loot and I dropped off one trackable.

We spotted a gecko hidden in its cave too! We let him return to his slumber.

Underwoodisaurus milii, thick-tailed gecko.

Out caching with mrwhiskers yesterday 29/11/2022. Walking to gz we were bombarded with mozzies, so running it was. We made our way to the possible spots we spotted once at GZ. Starting the search we were swarmed with what felt like a million mozzies - take note - bring a whole can of mozzie spray with you, if you’re in the bush here…

Mrwhiskers76 made the find while I fiddled to find the log and get it signed while swatting away mozzies. The camo and container were brilliantly designed and hidden. I dropped off one trackable.

We replaced as found and hightailed it out of there, leaving the mozzies in our dust..!

Out caching with mrwhiskers 29/11/2022. We made our way over to GZ evaluating which side we should come from. Thankfully we chose correct. Mrwhiskers76 made the find and I signed the log. The container was quite cute and the shade was a relief.

We weren’t expecting the fields to be so good, the grand stand although it’s small is pretty good! The sporting facilities in Griffith/ hanwood are all pretty great. Thank you!

Out caching with Mrwhiskers76 today and dropping off some trackables. We made our way to GZ and Mrwhiskers76 made the find. I dropped off one trackable in this cache.

Out caching with mrwhiskers today, we’ve been to this reserve? A few times playing Pokémon go, but never thought to see if there was a cache here. Upon walking to gz we thought of some possible hiding spots given the size of the cache. We made a quick find and stealthily grabbed it and singed at a nearby bench. We replaced as found and are off to the next !

27/11/2022

Returning from a trip to Mudgee, Mrwhiskers76 and I decided to stop for a cache after not having done any caching in quite a while. We read good things about this cache and gave it a crack.

Upon arrival we made our way to GZ and tried our luck with what caught our eyes. Being cautious of any lively residents, we rummaged through the contents of the container and of course there was a spidey hiding under the log book, that is now in the car !

After panicking for a moment we got the log signed and the spidey returned to his home. I grabbed three trackables that’ll be moved on very soon.

Thank you for a great cache, this one deserves a favourite point for sure !

Our caching with amyrose01 today after driving up from the south coast. We made our way over to GZ seeing a few possible spots. On arrival we made the find fair quickly and sign the log and replaced. Thank you!

Out caching with amyrose01 today. On arrival we weren’t sure what to expect but after having a look at round for a few moments we made the find. The hint definitely helped with this one. Thank you

Out caching with amyrose01 today. After driving up from the south coast with the geodog we made our way to GZ… after some detours and following some goat tracks we finally got there. We had a bit of trouble getting ahold of the log, finally managed to sign it. The walk back to the car was a bit muddy, and confusing.. we nearly got lost but we were on the right path eventually. Thank you !

After finding this cache 2 years ago, but being unable to open it (it must of been screwed on too tight..) I finally was able to sign the log today! Thank you.

With the weather as it is, I had the day off work and decided to go caching. I made a list of caches I’ll try to get, to clear out the area. This being the first cache of the day, I of course missed the area to park and had to do a u turn. Walking to GZ I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I definitely should of grabbed a spidey stick and the aero guard spray for starters.. After scanning the area for a few moments I made my way to a possible hiding spot and made the find. Now to opening it… dry hands are you friend here as I found out. After messaging the cache owner, low and behold it was open in an instant..! The log is a bit damp but I managed to sign it. Thank you for a great hide!

No luck with this one today. I search high and low as well as in. After waiting for the rain to ease I made my way up, the path is crazy muddy and quite slippery. Next time!

After waiting for the rain to settle, I made my way over to this one. At first I was a little stumped because I couldn’t find what I was looking for, until I can in from a different point of view. Thank you!

No luck with this one either today. I re read the hint a bunch of times and even googled it! Following the cords it kept taking me back to one spot but I searched high, low and in some maybe possible spots. Next time!

Upon arrival to this cache I wasn’t sure what to expect. I do recall being in this park before, but what for ? A previous cache? Walking to GZ it wanted me to go inside. After reading past logs I made the decision to walk a few laps before spotting a potential spot. The toilet cleaners arrived right as I went in for the grab, so I had pulled off a tying my shoe move and decided to wait for them to leave. I went in for the grab and walked over to a nearby bench to sign the log. I was greeted by an ant family that had made to container their home… re- placing the container was a bit of a challenge and hearing the thunder in the distance and potential muggles seeing me, I got a little stressed.. I finally got it back in place, thank you for a great cache! On to the next!

No luck with this one today. After searching for what felt like an hour and getting a million and one prickles, I just couldn’t find it. I must of turned just about every rock in eyesight and reach, and looked low, high and from every (very unflattering) angles. Next time I guess :/

22-May-22
No luck with this one today. After searching high and low and seeing few possible spots I decided to leave as I felt a bit uneasy poking around with graves so close and it’s still quite muddy. Next time!

Second cache of the trip and it was a tad sneaky. There were a few muggles around, given that it is a Sunday morning. After waiting for the rain to die down, standing under a tree I made my way over to GZ. After standing there for about 10 minutes trying to not look sis I made the quick grab and signed the log and replaced. Thank you!

After a quick dash across the road I made the find and replaced. The rain has finally stopped ?

A nice quick find once at GZ. The walk there is quite slippery as the path is covered in a layer of sludge. Container has a bit of moister in it, the log is singable tho. Thank you!

A spur of the moment caching trip in a new area. It’s a bit cold and sprinkling, but a great cache to start the day off. I’ve dropped off a trackable and some swag. Thank you!

A nice little park and grab. Thank you!

Not luck with this one, cords took me towards the water. I’m assuming it’s gone as it looks like it’s flooded?

A quick find once walking to GZ and reading the hint. Of all places for a muggle to walk by it had to be here ? The paper was a bit damp but singable. Thank you !

After walking in what seemed like a hundred or so circles, I finally found the cache. How I missed it is beyond me.. thank you!

A quick park and grab. Although, I didn’t realise it he proximity from the one before. The container could do with replacing, as there’s no lid. A friendly huntsman decided to drop on to my lap from his home ones the container… signed and replaced. Thank you!

A nice quick find. Everything around the container ( the log is bone dry) is soaking. Thank you!

Thought I try my shot at one of these caches. I don’t do them very often but it was on the way back! I’ve sent through my answers. It was great to stop and look at the view and read about a bit of history in the local area. I was lucky with the tied as it was a spur of a moment cache. My attempt at taking a photo for my log was a challenge, I ended up having to shove my phone in my shoe, then I got photo bombed by a bird.. thank you for the great cache!
