Logs for 'S' Family Team
09-Dec-12
Spending the day visiting Katie48 and we decided to find a cache on the way to do some Xmas shopping. Had to be quick due to cycling Muggles coming from under the bridge. Nice walk along the river in this area. TFTC.

Revisited this cache as it is a perfect place for a trackable (complete with hitch-hiker) that we grabbed from a cache in Mapleton, north of Brisbane. This little fellow has travelled some distance in its short life as it wishes to see as much of Australia as possible. Great view of Brisbane from this favourite lookout of ours.

What a great walk, had a great time as we searched for this one. The log was a little damp but still intact. TFTC
Tricky little find with Muggles on the pond nearby. Grabbed the travel bug and moving him to Brisbane. TFTC.
We are having a weekend away minus the kids to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary. What better way than to enjoy the falls and walk at Kondililla. We were here about 11 years ago and forgot how beautiful it really is, looking forward to coming back up here after the rains come to see the falls in their full fury. Saw a huge goanna on the trail that scared the hell out of us when it dived into the bush. TFTC it is a must for all geocachers.
Having a great walk but I think our legs will feel it tomorrow, great walk and a must for all geocachers. Found this one on the same walk looking for Kondililla #1. TFTC
Fantastic view and what should have been a quick cache find but no.... Muggles started to arrive by the car load. Had to wait about twenty minutes for the area to clear. Window of opportunity and we quickly found the cache, filled in the log and replaced it. Phew...our last one for the day. TFTC
We got dizzy with the GPS sending us around and around and around, couldn't get it to settle. Had a poke around but had no luck.
Nice walk and thankful for the seat to 'rest our butts' as we had already done the walk at Kondililla Falls and starting to get tired. Damn Muggles kept creeping up on us down the track but got it hidden again before the next ones came through. TFTC as we would never have gone down this walk without the cache.
Magic views, would never have known this spot was here without the cache thankyou very much. Log is full. TFTC.

What a bonus cache this was, number two for the afternoon with Katie48. TFTC
Mad dash around this afternoon with Katie48 trying to rack a few up before shegoes home. TFTC
Second quick find for the day. Having a fun time out with Katie48. Love the caches up here. TFTC.

Only took a few minutes to find the eclipse container which is good considering the Muggles in this area. It wasn't until we got home and tried to log our find that the real search began. We originally logged a cache in our GPS in July for this spot but the cache was called 'jade edition 1' and my GPS says it is by 'shaddow.hound'. We have been off the search grid for a while but finally got going today and decided to try and get this one again. Could it be possible that 'jade edition 1' was the pink cache everyone is talking about. When we tried to find this cache in the system it appears to have dropped off the list.
Just had another look at the logs on the GPS and noticed 'jade edition 1' was last found in July 2011. If shaddow hound is still around maybe they can shed some light on the mystery of the pink cache.

Wow! For beginners we had a blast with this one. The GPS was giving us a little bit of trouble until we slowed down and like others before us we first went the wrong way. Then it was back and forth over a small area trying to locate the cache. In a cry for help I let Geo Junior (8) come in and help me out and within minutes he had it. At first I wasn't sure but he was determined and eventually I conceded. Then the hunt for the log began, obviously as beginners we were not really sure what to look for.
Another ten minutes and finally, bingo. I would have to agree with a few earlier comments regards the log. We only had a pencil and it would barely leave a mark on the log (which looked quite full).
That aside we were really impressed with the imagination used to create this cache. We are now really hooked and already looking forward to the next hunt.
'an old hag' you couldn't be with caches like this, TFTC, amazing.

A nice and quick start to the day. Introduced the In-Laws to Geocaching for the first time. TYTC
This one took us three visits before we had a Muggle Free run at it. Even then we only just got it back in place before the Muggles returned. TFTC kids a blast on the playground.

Finally today we managed to find the cache. We had been to three others and found nothing but Muggle Mania. They were everywhere, not surprising since the weather was fantastic. Picked this one up on our way out to a party. Arrived in location to find the area deserted (to our relief) and made a quick find. Not the only ones to visit this site today we noticed by the log. This was the first attempt with a new GPS and first one since getting started again following 9 months since our last cache chase. Cache was safe and dry even though the wet weather over recent weeks.
We tried to get to this one by foot from the 'Bridge Over Warner' cache but couldn't find a shortcut through the houses. A quick drive to Bullocky's Rest park and then a short but scenic walk led us to cache area. A nicely thought out cache that should remain safe from Muggles for many years to come. Getting used to new GPS and went backwards and forwards through the barbed wire fence unnecessarily (coming off the walking track if you hit the fence turn around).
Hi everyone, just relogging our visit as the SFSeekers last year due to password issues requiring a new Username. Glad to see this one is still there, we had fun the last time.

Last one for the day, the young cachers were slowing, found the cache, opened the cache, pulled out the log, reached in the pocket for the pen....... NO PEN! Must have fallen out somewhere between the car and cache. Will have to drop by on the way to the other Football Fever caches next weekend to fill in the log. Log was found safe and dry.
Hi everyone, just relogging an old visit due to a Username change. We remember this one because the kids loved it.
