Will be there, just me, but unlikely to stay for dinner. 

It's not very often I find myself at the far end of Karori, (where the buses turn around), but I did today with an errand to run. And so having checked for any new listings this morning, and hence aware of this cache, it was an easy decision to travel an extra few km down a road I too had never explored. It is certainly a bit narrow in places but is well sealed and I found the turning at the end more than adequate, the most annoying thing though is the amount of speed bumps encountered along the first part of it.

The weather today was far from what I would normally go out caching in, wet and very cold. Happily though it was a quick find so I avoided getting totally soaked, and I was parked close enough to take the cache back to the car to sign the logbook, and avoid it getting wet.

Sunday afternoon seemed to be a good time to search for the cache here, it has the appearance of being a bit of a smoker's hangout, but today there was no-one in sight

All good in finding this one, but as noted by the previous finder, the logbook is full and we also had to search for an earlier faded signature for which to over-write with our name.

This is quite a lovely spot here and a well done memorial.

Finding the cache proved a little difficult as the GPSr had us over on the other side. It wasn't until we extended our search radius that I spotted something a bit different to its surroundings, and there was the cache!

Cache was found to be all in good order and luckily it was a quick find as yet another shower of rain had us scurrying back to the geo-mobile before we got too wet.

I had DNF'd here shortly after it was published and was determined not to do so again. A quick read of earlier logs helped and had me searching in a slightly different spot to previously. And although I have come across a number of similar hides I was slightly surprised by this one, but happy to have found it after my earlier DNF.

A nice drive in what turned out to be a change from suburbia to countryside. A quick find but struggled q bit to open the lid, seems to have been crushed a bit. Many thanks for the hide.

We were not to sure what we were looking for but it wasn't long before we spotted something that seemed a little unusual, and there it was, a very clever hide.

Plenty of parking here of which we availed ourselves, and then a short walk back to the footpath as the cache description mentioned. And with the aid of very good co-ordinates and the clue, the cache was a quick find. It was pretty cool to be able to sit on the wall to retrieve the cache and also sign the logbook, two people sitting on a wall next to the footpath is not something that anyone would see as suspicious behavior.

Cold southerly conditions today but the cloud layer was high enough to see what great views there are from here, I must return in better weather with my camera. TFTC

Fairly miserable conditions today with the southerly wind, I had just finished signing the logbook and replacing the cache when another bout of rain started that sent me scurrying back to the shelter of the geo-mobile. Many thanks for the placement. 

Decided to try from the end of Bendigo Grove and I was pleasantly surprised to find there is in fact a legitimate access track from there, not sign posted at the Bendigo Grove end, but it's very obvious, and it is sign posted where it joins the Te Ara Paparārangi track. So, very happy at the shorter walk than from the cache description trailheads and also at a quick easy find of the cache. Many thanks, FP from me for the series.
