Logs for Aushiker

19-Jun-16
Need to check on the status of the railway bridge.

06-Jul-15

17-Nov-14
Looks like it has gone ...

08-Aug-14
Unless the bridge over the railway line has been replaced by a building those coordinates are correct. I note that finder found it okay just two days before.

14-Oct-13
Number of DNF logs and no response to needs maintenance. Time to clear the map?

03-Oct-13
Was out with the Pug Brothers walking the area so took the opportunity to tick this one off. Thanks for the find. All is good with the cache.

Took the Rubics cube and left a Geocaching lanyard.

08-Sep-13
Another didn't find ... Sad

Given the number of DNF, maybe time for a maintenance visit?

Was walking the Kittys Gorge Walk Track today and took a quick break for this find. Always nice to find a real cache in the bush to thanks for that.

11-Aug-13
Gone live. Enjoy the hunt.

08-Aug-13
I was out deploying a Munzee trail with the Pug Brothers and took the opportunity to get the smile. A nice easy find with an enjoyable walk.

I left a stylus pen for a phone/tablet and took a key ring. Also dropped off the Canada Flag travel bug.

Thanks for the find. A very enjoyable cache.

26-Jul-13
Active caches need active owners. This one appears to have gone to cache heaven. Time to free up the area?

13-Jul-13
I am currently riding the Munda Biddi Trail from Albany to Collie and called in here to have lunch. Checked the GPS and found there was a cache nearby. A quick find thank you. I took the bath soap and left an Apple connector (for the new iPone). I also grabbed a travel bug which is not showing as being in the cache.

All is good with the cache. Thanks for the simile.

11-Jul-13
Found this whilst riding the Munda Biddi Trail from Albany to Collie; today's section was through to Kwokralup Beela Campsite on the Frankland River. If it was not for the cache I probably would have just ridden on through so thanks for encouraging me to stop and to discover the art works.

This has been one of the highlights on this ride so far.

TNLNSL. Cache is all good.

Thank you.

07-Jul-13
Found it whilst riding the Munda Biddi Trail through to Denmark. The cache is not in a good condition, log is soaking wet and the trackables are missing.

Thanks for the hunt.

Active caches need active owners. This cache seriously needs TLC and whilst the Needs Maintenance was flagged some time back nothing has happened. Time to archive or adopt out I would suggest.

Thanks for the nice easy find and discover a place now pasted. I didn't have an eraser to leave (not the sort of thing one takes a ride of the Munda Biddi Trail) but I did have a path tag with me so left that.

All good with the cache.

Thanks for the smile.

Loved the cache! It gave me a smile and I am really glad you brought me to this location, well encouraged me to stop on my ride of the Munda Biddi Trail. I nearly didn't as time was getting tight to get into Denmark and to the IGA before it closed, but I did!

Excellent idea, love the creativity and the historical perspective.

All is good with the cache.

03-Jul-13
Thanks for sorting. Must get back up there to grab that smile.

01-Jul-13
I got a chance to get the mountain bike sorted on the weekend so used that to go exploring for this cache. Found it without drama. Disappointed but to still see it needing maintenance.

Took a small toy and left a whistle.

Photo added to the log.

30-Jun-13
Active caches need active cachers. Six months with no maintenance is not a good sign. .Time to be either adopted out or archived.

24-Jun-13
Headed out on my regular training ride south and decided to do a bit more exploring around this area when this one popped up on the map. When I arrived there where no muggles about so decided to go for it. Of course the GPS and the power-lines didn't get along so I had a little fun getting directed about 20 metres away. I had to resort to the hint which at this point the GPS settled down.

Found it okay and then nearly got caught putting it back ... small delay until the person moved off with their dogs and then hidden, hopefully safely. Tried to cover it up a bit more than I found it.

Took the cigarette lighter (not meant to be left in caches) and left a key ring and and the Cycling to Copenhagen geocoin to get it on its way.

All good with the cache thanks. Photo added to the log.

Oh captured a nearby Munzee so bonus points Smile

21-Jun-13
Took a break off campus at lunch time to get a few steps up in the Global Corporate Challenge and decided to try and capture a few Munzees and a cache or three that are nearby.

Unfortunately this wasn't to be one of the caches. I couldn't find any sign of the cache as the area has been burnt. Will post a needs maintenance log with the photos.

Thanks for the walk anyway.

20-Jun-13
As per my DNF log and I note a previous DNF log which may explain why I ddidn't see any evidence of the cache. Anyway I have attached photos of ground zero showing the fire damage. Maybe the CO can work out from these if the cache is still likely to be there. I had a very good fix on the phone GPS so pretty sure I knew the likely hiding spot.

Anyway will watch it and see what comes of it.

18-Jun-13
Nice easy find on my now regular ride through the area. All good with the cache. I didn't take anything but did leave a new phone camera case which hopefully is of value to someone.

Thanks for the find. Photo added to this log.

Was exploring the area when this one popped up. Being on the bike ...

So thanks for the find. Photo added to the log.

The log is now full. No space left at all. Also it seems that the thread on the tube is on the way out. Had some trouble getting it to screw back up.

Nice cache but.

17-Jun-13
Thanks for the cache and highlighting this piece of our history. I don't know how many times I have ridden past without know of its existence so thanks for highlighting it.

All good with the cache.

16-Jun-13
Found it on a Perth Bushwalkers Club walk through the area. Nice quick hunt with the GPS having us heading in the wrong direction intially (south of the track instead of north) before lunch.

The cache is in good condition.

TNLNSL.

13-Jun-13
Nice easy find on my now regular training rides through the area. Nice also to find a cache that is not a micro so took the stylus pen and left a torch on a carabiner.

The cache is in good condition. Thanks for the find.

Photo added to the log.

Dropped in to have a look but even on a Friday morning it is muggle central. So took a photo instead and moved on. Maybe another time.

11-Jun-13
Another nice easy find. I initially thought I might have a spot of bother or even a DNF as the Water Corporation has been playing with their Tonka toys but all is good thankfully.

The cache log is damp but so probably needs replacing or drying out.

Thanks for the find. Photos added to his log.

10-Jun-13
Thanks for the nice easy find this morning on my shortened training ride through the area. Got a chance to test out the Garmin Oregon 600 which was a bonus.

Cache is all good. Oh glad to read that it has not be used for its intended purpose Smile

Photo added to the log.

04-Jun-13
Easy and quick find this morning. Coordinates are good, with the phone picking directly to the cache. All good with the cache. Photo added to the log. Thanks for the find.

03-Jun-13
Not my day. First DNF for the day. I did find a camouflage game piece but no cache so guessing this was a decoy.

Will watch the cache and see what develops.

Thanks for the challenge.

Second DNF for the morning. Just not my day. The GPS on the phone consistently placed me between two trees but a through search, well I thought it was, didn't yield anything of note.

Will watch the cache and see how others who follow go.

Thanks for the frustration Smile

02-Jun-13
Liked this one. A little tricky and made worse as I went with my instincts at first rather than with what the GPS on the phone was saying. When Plan A did not work reverted to Plan B; mmm does this belong here brain snap eventually occurred.

That is one small micro!

Thanks for the find. It was a nice break on my training ride through the area.

All is good with the cache.

Photos added to this log.

31-May-13
When I arrived at GZ I thought this one might an a problem as the Water Corporation had being some work including digging a big hole which they subsequently filled in however it all turned out for the good.

All is good with the cache. I took the keyring and left a Live Longer USB stick.

Thanks for the cache.

Photo added to this log.

29-May-13
Nice easy find this morning on my regular training/geocaching ride south through Beelair Regional Park and back to Fremantle.

Getting a feel now for you hide style Smile

Cache is in good condition.

Photo added to this log.

Thanks for the cache.

28-May-13
Nice easy find on training ride through the area. Add bonus on this ride was a chance to grab a couple of local Munzee's as well.

Found the cache without any dramas. Took the rubber ducky and left a USB cable. The cache is all good.

Photos added to this log. Thanks for the cache.

27-May-13
Nice easy find thank you. Also I am impressed by the cache box. Do you have more details on these by any chance? Brand?

I was little time poor this morning so had to do a shorter ride south from Fremantle than normal so decided to start on the caches in this area. It was fun taking on the dirt track on 23 mm tyres! Smile

Thanks for a normal cache; so refreshing after endless micros.

All good with the cache.

Took a ping pong ball and left a Geocaching Australia Pathtag.

Photos added to log.

26-May-13
Took a little while but got the smily. The last two DNF had me expecting a similar outcome so this one is a bonus. I did use c:geo on my Android at first and it was jumping around a bit so I deployed my Garmin 60CSX which a little more accurate. I still found it was best to place them on the ground in a cleared area and then pace off in the general direction.

Initially I assume a strong link between the story of the pioneer and the hide but got that wrong this time round. Having found similar hides in the past I was keeping this in mind as well. Thankfully it paid off this time Smile

Thanks for challenge. All is good with the cache.

Oh I found a Munzee across the path as well so a nice little bonus

24-May-13
This one had me running around a bit as both the Geocaching.com app on my Samsung Galaxy II and c:geo where not getting me any closer to within 25 metres. I eventually had the bright idea to restart the phone (I am slow at times) and bingo I was suddenly honing in to within 1.5 metres.

A really neat hide ... more so given there are one or two other neat ways to hide a micro here.

Thanks for another enjoyable micro find. Heck you might get me liking them!

All good at the cache site.

21-May-13
Easily the best micro I have come across. Worth a find for sure. Thanks for the excuse for a ride.

An add bonus is that of course Edith Cowan is on our $50.00 note, but more importantly I have a close association with @ECU so this made this find a little more interesting.

The log is pretty damp and needs drying out. The log is pretty damp and needs drying out. Apologies for not being able to repair whilst I was there.

20-May-13
Took the Pug Brothers for a walk to log a waymark and to find this one, but alas no goodies. I was using the phone but pretty certain we arrived at GZ. Reading the logs I suspect my focus was in the wrong place. Will visit again when i can get a chance to go on a quiet morning.

19-May-13
Nice easy find thanks. Picked up on a nice 34 km ride south from Fremantle. Will shoot for the others on future rides through the area.

The cache is in good condition.

Thanks for the excuse to take the Pug Brothers for a stroll up the mountain. They enjoyed the down more than the up Smile No GPS required for this one so the photo is a selfie. Hopefully that is okay.

Thanks for the walk.

18-Apr-11
It seems that there may be some who are making use of Google etc to get the answers which defeats the whole purpose of this cache. In light of that the time has come to say goodbye to this long running virtual.

11-Apr-10
As folks are not doing the right thing and I am really no longer interested in keeping tabs on all this, this one is going bye bye.
