Logs for Freefall

Went on the boat to the area. Have to say M@, this is so far the best cache I have done. What a stunning piece of NZ scenery and I had the whole beach to myself..The cache is in excellent condition. Took out pliers and left stapler set. A few more like this wouldn't go amiss.......Freefall

Hi Smokers, Manage to find this one without a GPS - I wonder why. Sneaky cabbage tree but good cache. Took out knife to replace the one that went the same way as GPS. Put in hair clip comb - This is for Kevin's hair in a high wind.Unable to take pic as my camera is with my knife, GPS etc with Sydney, bless him. To other geo-cachers , warning, Smoking Gunners are becoming just a tad devious. Beware.

This proved to be elusive mainly because it seemed unreasonable. We found what proved to be the cache site on 4 separate occasions but just didn't believe that it was placed where it was. Agility and a certain trimness of form was required which seems grossly unfair to sincere Geocachers of a more generous framework. If all of HLD's caches are of this calibre then we might give them a miss. Sorry HDL but it seems to defeat the object of the exercise
Good cache: Taught me to pay attention to the directions a bit more closely. S.E. is a general direction not pin point accuracy, so always see the big picture. After all that the walk to the top was exhilirating with fantastic views from the top. The walk down was even more exhilirating trying to keep up with a young gazelle racing down in front of me.

Great walk through the woods. Found Goliath and took photographs, then just started to look for cache when M@ turned up, so we had a combined search. The line honours must go to M@ as he put his hand on it first. He took out a tape measure, so we put a different one back and took the key holder. Not quite first on this one NZWide, but close enough.Keep them coming. We then took M@ for a cup of tea & biscuit and had a long chat about Geocaching, sea kayaking and GPS navigation. Nice.........Freefall

Hi NZWide, Thanks for a stunning part of the countryside. Found without too much difficulty - good clues as per usual, the GPS doesn't like being under the canopy. Now that's what you might call a Kauri tree. Delighted to be your first visitor again............Freefall

Hi Green Eagle: This must be a delight on a warm sunny summers day - however today Whangarei recorded it's monthly rainfall in one day. There are a lot of rocks with flax bushes on top and big trees beside them - eventually I found the right one. I'm wet, I'm dirty so I think I will go and try for Whau Valley - Freefall
Hi Green Eagle: Second Green Eagle today, does that constitute a flock. Very wet, very muddy, went A over T on the fence line. This geocaching is character building.............Freefall

The troll's tent is still there even if he is not - see HLD's narrative. Up and down the cliff a couple of times but eventually persistence paid off. Took the batteries as the GPS was dying, 2nd cache this day, left dollar coin as it was the only treasure I had on me at the time. Will go back one day and make suitable contribution. You could get killed on that motorway. The log paper is getting very full - a new logbook could be in order..........Freefall
Stunning walk through good bush. Who would guess you are about 2 miles from Sky Tower as the crow flies. Got the heart pumping. Cache in good condition. Took nothing - left nothing....Thank You, Kim.....Freefall

Reiterate everything everyone else has said. This has to be a joke. Cm'on Waatz - get your act together.Definitely nothing out - definitely nothing in.
Container still split. Contents a bit damp. Dried them out as best we could. See what M@(Tofska) had to say and agree with it all.Has Waats emigrated. Nothing in - Nothing out.

FreeFall:Found after a bit of searching - The elephant's head is no longer with us. It is gone, deceased, demised or gone to the great elephant graveyard in the sky. Put in key fob, took nothing out. Cache in good condition.

This is my first find so it will have a special place in The Geocache Hall of Fame. Great site with a great view. I visited it twice but only recorded once. Second visit was to prove the GPS was OK. It was..................Freefall
