Logs for Jammalees
29-Sep-24
Lovely spot. At least the lake has a bit of water in it now. My family used to launch the boat here and wed fish/water ski/ windsurf. There was lots more water then - the ramp and harbour is dry now. Didnt have a pen so heres a pic of the log. TFTC.
Nice hide, with a little scramble up to get the log. No pen on me so heres a pic of the log. TFTC.

Found fairly easily. Too easily as it was on the ground, presumably not where it should be! Very nicely constructed container. As others pointed out, the log is soaking wet - but I managed to sign it anyway and then I replaced it in a spot where I logically thought it should be.A quick message to the cache owner confirmed it was the right spot to put it back. Great hide (for the next person who finds it and TFTC)

Very clever, hide!! probably the only cache I will have time to find on this trip to New Zealand. Glad it was a good one and a scenic one to boot.
12-Jan-24
Made the effort to hike up here after a long day sightseeing. On the way I discovered the old Hepburn Pool - looks a lovely spot but has seen better days dont think Id be game to swim in it. Lovely quiet spot - TFTC
30-Dec-23
A lovely stroll with the geodog from Bells beach car park took me to this spot - great views in what was a pretty wild and wooly day. A decent swell but not many surfers out just a couple of kite boarders and one brave soul paddling out through the chop. Forgot to bring my own so here is a pic of the cache log instead. TFTC.
18-Dec-23
Lovely spot for a cache and a wild beach. No surfing for me today! Geodog in training helped me find it. TFTC
06-Nov-23
Nice quick find not far off the beaten track. Logbook completely waterlogged so couldnt sign it. Left a TB. TFTC

Have found this cache previously but a beautiful spring day was a chance to walk in the Dandenongs and drop off a couple of trackables Ive kept for far too long
11-Aug-23
Found last weekend on a bike ride but forgot to log. Wasn’t a MTB but a road bike so was taking it slowly on the gravel! TFTC

East find in a quiet Thursday in school holidays. Buckley’s story is fascinating must read up on it. TFTC.
While I was there there was an excavator opening up Painkalac creek to the ocean.

Logged with permission. What an awesome spot - I believe we were there in the first day it opened up in the dry season. Expecting huge crowns but wasn’t really too bad at all. Great swimming.
Stopped in after checking out Breamlea. Have been coming down to the Surf Coast and staying in Anglesea all my life but don’t think I’ve ever been here. What a great spot. TFTC.
Stopped into to Moriac mid bike ride for a coffee and sausage roll at the lovely general store. Took a little while to locate - fortunately not too many people around to notice the dodgy Lycra bloke sniffing around the pay phone. Very cleaver hide. TFTC.

First and only find in the NT! Grabbed it at night without too many muggles around TFTC sunrise pic from nearby Stokes Wharf for attention…

Love this mural on what would otherwise be a great and stark low cost housing tower. Fairly quiet in a Sunday which was fortunate as I would have stuck out in my cycling gear.
Love the audacious hide! Visited 3 trackables, left one. TFTC

Nice quick find for a tourist (or at least a business traveller up for a conference). Pretty quiet first thing in the morning. Visited 3 trackables. TFTC.

Quick find while out for a Sunday ride. Great hide but the area is a little exposed - wonder if the nearby residents know about the cache? Anyway cache in good nick; signed log and swapped out some trink.

Wow what a cool little hidden path! Have been coming here for years and never knew it existed. I guess the owners of the house above like it that way.
Wow it’s been ages since I went after a geocache! Simple enough to solve the coords but think I approached GZ the wrong way initially given all the spider webs I went through. Took 3 of the 6 trackables; will redistribute soon!

First find for 2023! I hanve had a couple of goes at this over the last couple of years but finally got it today! Not many muggles about being New Years Day and very hot. Nice sneaky hide. TFTC

Found after a nice walk around the lake. Due to lack of reception I didn’t get the memo about creative writing until just now, so my logbook entry was rather prosaic, sorry!
Perhaps now I should recount the tale of the multitude of animals I had to battle to find this worthy treasure… The first one became apparent not 100 m later in the form of a slight itch, Which turned out to be a leech firmly accosted to my leg! Lacking the suitable tools to remove it I walked on to the Teahouse, where one of their salt shakers did the job nicely. I did get a rather horrified look from at least one middle aged muggle watching me perform the self operation!!!
The second beastie (Or rather beasties) only manifested themselves a few hours later in the form of multiple sandfly bites. Pretty sure these were gain from removing the case as no others of my party were similarly affected.
Anyway, as they say, nothing ventured nothing gained - favourite point for the sheer adventure of it all!

Great hidden spot after the relative crowds of crystal cascades. About half of our party were put off by the stinging plant signs but the other half pressed on and were well rewarded. Tftc.
11-Feb-22
Stopped off on my way back from the surf coast. Have driven past here hundred of times but never stopped. Took a little while to find the numbers at the first spot but then in my way.
I had never heard of the BODMAS acronym but was pretty good at maths at school so no dramas there. Except the clue put me in a spot that didn’t seem suitable for a cache. But my old geosenses kicked in and I found it nearby. Tftc.

Stopped here for a cuppa on an epic day walk with the family to Mt Feathertop and back. Great hide! Tftc.
Well if we trekked all the way here from Diamantina hut and back in one day, the least we could do is find the resident cache! A great days hiking despite a couple of serpentine encounters… The eldest geokid had just finished asking “do snakes live this high up?” , when he bumped into his answer thankfully not too close - the attached was taken with a telephoto lens! A great day for an epic day hike!
19-Jan-22
We did what would be considered a ‘gentle recovery stroll’ up to the summer of Hotham, having done a gruelling 23kms to Feathertop and back the day before. The wind had got up, and while the thick fog had lifted, we were almost blown off the summit! Nice hide and find, cache is in great condition considering it would be under snow for several months of the year. Had yet another reptilian encounter on the way down - lots of them about!!

Nice stopover on the walk from Hotham to Dinner Plain. Great container. Left a TB. Tftc
16-Jan-22
Forgot to log this having found it in the first week of January great hide and placement but couldn’t stand still too long due to monster truck mosquitoes everywhere! Love the Anglesea backwaters though tftc
Nice quick find during an equally quick stop en route to the mountains bit concerned about snakes in the long grass, but didn’t see any! TFTC
05-Oct-21
I’d scouted out the location on my bike previously, but didn’t fancy the scramble in bike shoes. So maybe not a great idea to return on foot with the geokid after heavy rain… a precarious escalade let us to what the GPS said, and what looked like the natural spot… but no cigar… so reading the comments, we backtracked down and east a bit for a successful find. My first GC for several months due to this never ending lockdown … and what an epic adventure!
Going back down the slope seemed far too dangerous - so we kept going and suddenly gained the Kew Boulevard, feeling like Bear Grylls when he suddenly stumbles across a sign of civilisation after days of wilderness survival… TFTC

Nice find while out on a bike ride. It’s been a long while between caches but I was pleased to see I still had some geo sense and spotted the hide fairly quickly. Don’t have a pen so took a pic of the log instead. Lovely spot. Tftc.
28-Jun-20
Had a couple of DNFs so wondering if it has been muggled. I’m Disabling it until I can go check it out
22-May-20
Nice little walk in the back streets of Richmond Hill after a day stuck indoors teleworking. Also a long time between caches; I don’t have a pen so took a snap of the logbook instead. TYFC.
28-Jan-20
Found this one several weeks ago but didn’t have a pen at the time. Stopped off yesterday to log it physically. TFTC.
02-Jan-20
Nice quick find on a rest stop after escaping the fires in Southern NSW via Canberra. Has been a while since I found a cache and this was a nice one. TFTC
Nice quick find heading southbound. Just managed to replace before a crowd of muggles descended. TFTC
05-Nov-19
Stopped in today - cache had definitely gone. Don't put it too low as a bit of rain may wash it away when the river rises. Replaced with a new container in a neat little spot
