On cachetour together with Triaden1 .
We have been in Finland before but that was long ago and before geocaching . But now we had the opportunity to make a little roundtrip - only two days , but that is better than nothing . We started in Helsinki , drove to Tampere and stayed for one night in Pori - so we drove back to Helsinki over Turku .
We found a lot of very nice caches along the road and had a very good time . Surprisingly the weather was good the whole time and temperatures up in the 20s . Just right for this trip . We stopped for some earthcaches and made some shorter hikes and had to fight once with a lot of " Hirvikärpänen " - terrible creatures !
This one was high on our list about caches we had to find . It is always nice to find the old ones . A short walk and we had no problems to locate the cache at GZ . Thanks for this one !

Together with Triaden1 I spent the weekend in Germany to visit some old friends and of course to visit the Gigaevent in Essen too .
On sunday we made a little trip to Altenberg . Of course we had to find the old cache here and then we made a nice little walk to find to earthcaches . Luckily we came back to the car just before the rain starts in the afternoon .
Our first stop was this old one - always great to find them . A nice hiding place beneath som old ruins in the forest . '

Day 22 on our roundtrip through the western parts of the USA together with Triaden1 . Today we drove around Dallas and Fort Worth to find the old caches in this area . On this trip we found some virtuals and traditionals too .
It is always fun to find the old ones , this one was at a nice location and we enjoyed the short walk . To find the cache was no problem . We left some TBs and GCs .
A great thanks to the owner of the old caches for the maintenance and holding them alive .
Special thanks for the virtuals with their histories and nice spots . We have only a handful in Norway , so we have to find them here .
Of course thanks to all the owners of the caches for the caches and the work behind . And sorry that I have not the time for individual logs .

Day 15 and 16 on our roundtrip through the western parts of the USA together with Triaden1 . The plan for these two days was easy . Find some old caches from october and november 2000 plus nice virtuals and som traditionals along the way . In the night we stand at the Oak City Campground . A beautiful space where we had som steaks plus mushroom and tomatoes on the grill .
This was one of the old ones we found . A long drive uphill but the road was good the whole way , so that was no problem . Parked the car , crossed a creek and bushed right to the cache . At GZ we had no problem to find the box and of course we found a path out too .
Thanks a lot for the maintenane of the cache over all the years . It was a honour to find this one .

Day 2 of our roundtrip through the USA . We started in Denver and stopped in Topeka . A long trip on a hot day , temperatures were up to 100 F .
But we had a lot of fun with wonderful caches in great spots . We found two caches from 2000 , this is always the best part of a cachingtrip for me - the old ones .
We had some really nice boxes and I would give more favorite points but I have no more . So sorry to all the owners for that and another sorry for the same log for all caches . But I have not enough time on this trip for indiviual logs for each cache .
Today we found round about 24 caches , some virtuals , one webcam and a lot of nice traditional caches .
Thanks for all the work to the owners and thanks for the caches .

There it was - my first milestone ! And of course it should be a special cache for this . What could be better as australians most southern cache ?
It was poor weather today but no big problem with good clothes . Partly the boardwalks were under water and the way through the forests was very muddy - and the whole time we had to fight against the leeches . After two hours we reached the bay and we were afraid that the cache had been gone because the lower part of the stairs does not exist longer. But we could find the cache after a short search . Thanks for this hide at a great location !

A really nice cache , love those ones . The whole time we had a muggler back us and after a while he came over , wondering about all the people he has seen here , looking around and so on . He got the explanation about geocaching and then he was satisfied .
