Logs for OurLinx

12-Mar-18
Hello,
I would not like this site to be permanently disabled.
I will get onto it.
My partner who shared this and other logs with me passed away.
My intention is to take care of our sites, I just need a little time.

23-Jun-17
The flood of June 2017 washed everything away.

Enlighten is under maintenance for the time being, it was not near the mud slide as previously advised,
however a clean is needed because of rain water entry.

Hello Everybody,

Tumby Hall is again up and running...

We have placed a new container and log book with pencil.

Happy Geocaching

09-Jan-16
We are pleased to advise Turnock Park is again up and running, we have changed the container to a screw top, the previous container was a Sistema container, I would strongly advise anyone NOT to use these containers to hide a Cache as they only give problems with water entering, they are OK around the kitchen but as a Cache they are useless. Sad

I have placed some goodies for children, and also some pathtags from Ourlinx....

PLEASE only take one, even if you have more than one child, leave some for other people.

Thank you

Hello Everybody,

I have to make a new geocache for this site, it was removed by workmen not knowing it was attached
to the item it was removed.
Please, I will be as quick as possible making a new cache.

Hello Everybody

Enlighten was designed and built to provide a different Cache from most.

I do not know of any other Cache that provides such a surprise for the finder,
this was my aim, as fun is the bottom line.

Great for adults, and I love the thought of children seeing what Enlighten has for them.
Technical difficulties struck too soon after it was placed and only a few had the chance to
see it as it was intended, I am pleased to say its all good now.

I have placed some pathtags with Enlighten, please only take one, so others may enjoy them.

So please except my invitation to go find what Enlighten truly means.

Hello Everybody,

Enlighten will be under maintenance for a little while...
It will be back soon with pathtags for lucky finders placed at regular intervals in the container.
This is a most unusual Cache, it has not been performing to its designed supprise for finders for some
time, however it will be soon.
I recommend previous finders, have another look, to discover its secrets you will be surprised.
Enlighten will be available soon.
Thank you

Seems someone needed the container more than us Geocachers. What a pity. Sad

11-Sep-14
Enlighten is now up and waiting to be found.

We have had to do extensive maintenance to our cache because the seal on the lid was not cleaned
prior to closing, allowing water to damage the insides.

There is a brush provided, PLEASE! use it to keep the water tight seal clean.

Thank you, good hunting.

Although we thought this cache had been muggled after reading the DNF logs we had a look anyway because we were in the area. Evidence of someone's home being their sandcastle so didn't stay too long once the obvious spots were checked.

Thanks for bringing us back to this beach fizz62.

Big Grin Thank you for the great cache Petan. We loved reading about the border fence history in your description, on the monument and the commemorative plaque. We should have taken the camera and taken a "modern day" shot . . if nobody else does over the next week or so then we will definitely take one to upload.

Aussie Liahona beat us to this cache however we took their Tree Frog Pathtag they had dropped into the cache.

Thanks once again for the cache Petan Big Grin

Congratulations Fizz62 for being STF . . official written recognition!

We can understand why the footy won out last night being finals and all . . hope your team won Smile

Congratulations Petan for being FTF. I'm sorry we interrupted cheese and biscuits, although probably just as well the wine quaffing was interrupted seeing you encountered much excitement while retrieving this cache Smile

20-Sep-13
Found it while spending a few days at O'Reilly's. A King Parrot seemed attracted to us because it accompanied us most of the way along the Canopy Walk. Smile

Thanks for the cache culture50!

Found this while spending a few days at O'Reilly's. The scenery was breathtaking from the lookout and after signing the log we continued on our walk enjoying the many wonderful sights and sounds of the rainforest.

Thanks for the cache pirate63 Smile

Beautiful 360 degree views from here. It felt like we were on top of the world for our 100th find.

The resident spider caught us unaware, luckily we didn't drop the cache. Took Ned Kelly TB and left a yo-yo.

TFTC Angel Dust Smile

We hope Thom had a happy birthday. His cache was cleverly camouflaged.

Another great Angel Dust hide. A pleasant walk with some interesting reading along the way.

Geograndkids took the soldier and also a marble. Dropped off Half A Shilling 1959 TB and also a yo-yo.

Thanks for the cache Angel Dust Smile

Great little cache, camouflaged well. GPS sent us away from GZ so went with our hunch and cache was soon in hand.

Thanks for the hide fizz62 Smile

29-Aug-13
Lovely area to stroll along, we have driven past here many times and never stopped.

Thanks for the cache Summer10 and for giving us a reason to walk along the creek and explore the area. Smile SLTNLN

What a fabulous container fizz62 , we wish we had a favourite point to give you.

It proved a little hard at first until we replaced the batteries in our GPS. We saw the cache but just thought . . . . ! It took a few minutes before we went back for another look and . . . wow!

It is very clever fizz62, we loved it just as much as the cobbler's pegs/farmer's friends loved us. Smile

28-Aug-13
Thank you for your very informative description of the Kirra Cutting, we love reading about the history of places. We have to award a favourite point both for the history lesson and the cache. Smile

We parked up the top and walked down to the cutting. It wasn't long before the cache was in hand thanks to geodad.

Great spot for a cache, thanks so much Petan. SLTNLN

25-Aug-13
Geograndkids headed straight to GZ and their friend found the cache, it looks like we have a new recruit Smile.

The pencil needs to be sharpened, unfortunately we didn't have a sharpener with us. Signed log with own pen.

Thanks for the lovely country drive Spikey100 it was a good hide.

After a pleasant walk through the park we enjoyed a Sunday picnic in this lovely spot. We had the cache signed and back in place in no time at all. We were so glad Radnoski had supplied the little tool Smile

Thanks for bringing us to this little park Sapphire and Ruby.

Many thanks Perusal for reminding us of the many wonderful beaches and headlands on our doorstep.

The Geokids were impressed with your cache and we replaced it knowing it would not come to the same fate as its namesake. Smile

TNLNSL

Thank you for the clever cache Perusal.

24-Aug-13
Great spot for a cache and you don't have to worry about too many muggles. We have previously bypassed this cache in the hope of doing both this and the Tip Road cache on the same drive.

So nice to see another cache with room for swaps, geo-g-kids love looking for something to swap.

Thanks for the cache Higgins-clan. SLTNLN

18-Aug-13
Lovely walk through the trees to the lagoon. Eldest geo-grandson was wrapped with the hammock while youngest geo-grandson spotted a cache size pencil on the ground so we knew the cache was close by. Maybe the cheeky bird had been using it for nesting material Smile

Thanks for bringing us to this spot Chip846, we enjoyed this cache.

A very clever hide. Big Grin

Mr Garmin led us straight to GZ however it was geo-son who came up with the goods much to our astonishment. This was our second last cache for the day and after a lot of micro caches it was wonderful to see such a large cache.

We have to award this a favourite point Buckey Boo, and we will look forward to your next cache.
