Logs for Quasar

27-Nov-24
Took a minute or two to find this well hidden nano in a break between council presentations at the City of Bayswater. Thanks.

Found before starting work at Bayswater council today. My kids have often been to roller skating parties in recent years. It's alive and well! TFTC

Looked around underneath before twigging it's a Camo cache. Plenty of birds in the river today. Thanks.

Took a few minutes but I found this one in the early morning light on a walk from my accommodation this trip. Thanks.

Presenting at the City of Perth so walked a block over after finishing to shake the hand of one of these fine gentlemen. Others nearby were walking with them but that's hard to photograph as a selfie! Thanks for bringing me here.

Took a few minutes longer than it should have due to some muggles doing a historic tour of the area and stopped right there! Other than that a quick find on the way to the city of Swan. TFTC

Walked over from double trouble on my morning walk. Checked all the likely spots but this one is too tough for me.

Staying nearby and using the time to clear up a few more Victoria Park caches. Thanks. This one is quite well hidden but in the obvious spot.

26-Nov-24
After presenting at Northam Shire Council I wandered over the bridge for a quick cache find. It was covered in spiders which made it even more fun! TFTC.

Just across the road from today's council presentation. Had the right idea from the start but had to check all the other spots first! TFTC

Just time for one quick stop on the way in to Northam for a work presentation. Thanks.

The starting point was right next to where I parked for the presentation at Northam today. I always like these ones to reflect on the sacrifices of war. One of the better memorials I've seen too. Quick calculation and an easy find thanks.

23-Nov-24
A quick find after a weekend presentation to Yarra Ranges councillors on a hot and windy Saturday. Thanks.

20-Nov-24
A quick find here even in the pouring rain after spending ages here on my last visit to Brisvegas. Thanks!

Got asked by the security guard what I was doing - he has clearly seen geocachers here before! He said I wouldn't find it and it definitely isn't there. So not taking no for an answer I kept looking and turned up the cache in a few more minutes. The trick is to think more street than barracks. Signed and returned to my hotel in the rain. TFTC.

Found after a short search on a wet morning in Brisbane not far from where I'm staying. Hint is a little misleading as far as directions go but I got there in the end! TFTC.

Found in the rain on one night in Brisvegas for work. Didn't take too long after reading previous logs and ensuring I was on the right level. TFTC.

19-Nov-24
Found eventually while visiting the city of Logan for work. Log is full and disintegrating. TFTC.

A quick stop on the way into the city of Logan for a presentation. Interesting little sculpture! Thanks.

17-Nov-24
Unfortunately I don't live nearby nor do I have access to a houseboat which was how it was originally placed. It does seem like it's gone missing, but I'm not going to be able to get there in the forseeable future so it looks like this historic cache from 2001 will be gone for good.

14-Nov-24
A new cache only 400m from home? But it took me a few weeks to find the time to walk to it and search. Great little spot I've been to many times. Took a few minutes to find the elusive cache which as others have noted is well hidden. Thanks.

12-Nov-24
Stopped in for a quick find on the way back to Newcastle airport. Unfortunately log is wet and mushy and very hard to make a mark. TFTC

Quick find after negotiating some long and wet grass,! Log in better shape than the other one. Thanks.

Not having much luck here. Thorough search. One very likely locations based on previous logs but I checked it out and definitely not there. Oh well.

Not having much luck here. Searched all over the sign top to bottom and nothing. Maybe another missing.

Arrived here just as the school bus was pulling in. So had to wait for the kids and parents picking them up to disperse. Then a pretty quick find in a town i have never been to before. TFTC.

In town one night for work. Never been to Dungog before so taking this opportunity to find the few local caches. This is a nice big cache but unfortunately in very poor condition with a lid that's almost non existent. Log book is double bagged but it needs some TLC. Thanks for the cache.

Managed to walk in and find this one in the rapidly fading light and despite some muggles and their dogs playing in the creek nearby. Quite eerie with darkness falling. Signed and out of there quickly. TFTC.

Found in the fading light. Hitting all the local caches in Dungog for one night in town for work. This is a quiet spot in the evening. Thanks.

Stopped on the way back to Newcastle. Had a good look around keeping in mind the clue but couldn't see this one

Phew! Good to finally get a smiley in Seaham. After 3 dnfs in a row! Thanks.

11-Nov-24
Found on the drive north from Newcastle airport for work. Quick find but no log book. Signed name in a bit of card in the cache and covered with the paver so it doesn't get wet..thanks.

"Regular" caches are few and far between these days. When I started they really were the regular size. Now they are the exception. I always give favourite points for regular and large size caches. TFTC.[Quasar](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=Quasar) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAVNG6/93568 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.User has 28 finds (10 needed).Filters:( sizes (Regular) , county (Maroondah) , country (Australia) )

I saw these had popped up on the bike trail, perfect for a bike ride after watching my daughters play Netball. Having been caching in Maroondah for 23 years, I figured I would qualify for all of them but have used the challenge checker anyway.Thanks.[Quasar](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=Quasar) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAVMNK/93566 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.User has 255 finds (100 needed).Filters:( county (Maroondah) , country (Australia) )

Third of these new challenge caches found on the way home. For some reason it seems like there are more caches of 1.5/1.5 than any other type doesn't it! Second find for a bike ride home after watching my daughters play netball. A quick one here with nobody about. 5th and final find for this bike ride to pick up the new challenge caches. This was the only one I wasn't sure if I'd qualify for, as I don't check how many favourites caches get after I find them. Turns out I have 4 though, the first one 12 years ago! Quick find on the way down to see my daughters play netball. TFTC

A Morning walk in on a sultry humid morning. Took ages to find as I scrambled around every hole. Gave up and came back after reading a previous log. It's in there where you expect but very deep and covered in debris. TFTC.

Found what was left of this cache among all the rubbish in this area. Log book is ok but container is battered and broken. Needs some TLC.

In Hornsby for work. An exhausting councillor presentation and not much time for caching. But as I was travelling by train I decided to do the mental arithmetic required here and came up with the goods after one recount. Then an easy find and a surprisingly big cache. Thanks for this one which has brightened up the day.

Spent about 15 minutes here but there is nothing to find but a lot of leaves and rubbish. Not a great spot.

06-Nov-24
Stopped in this very well to do leafy area on the way to Burwood Council. Coords are a bit out and I thought I might have to pass the locked barrier but it turns out it isn't necessary. TFTC.

Wow that must be one very well hidden cache. I definitely qualify for the challenge and set out for a bike ride on cup day afternoon to grab a few local caches but this one eluded me. I must've spent about half an hour searching everywhere within a 10m radius but it still eluded me. I can see lots of geo trails but none lead to an actual cache. I suspect it may have gone missing as I have looked everywhere. Gave up to avoid further damaging the vegetation.

I went back after finding the previous cache for another look, and managed to find it, where I'd been standing for a lot of the time. Not sure how I missed it, but it does blend in very well, and I think I was expecting something higher up, knowing how tall the CO is!Anyway thanks for this one. Manningham is actually my 2nd-most cached LGA with 268 finds before this one.[Quasar](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=Quasar) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAXDRR/91607 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.User has 268 finds (100 needed).Filters:( types (Traditional Cache , Unknown Cache , Multi-cache , Letterbox Hybrid , Wherigo Cache) , county:Manningham , country:Australia)

Finally found on a cup day bike ride after a couple of previous dnfs. I was on the right track but had hold of the wrong end so to speak. Anyway tap tap tap and a bunch of earwigs later and the log was in hand. TFTC.

I really don't like caches hidden in people's yards. So despite being relatively close to home I've put this one off for years. Eventually decided to use the most pointless public holiday of the year to do a bike ride circuit to try to pick up a few caches I've never bothered with. Fortunately it only took a few minutes after testing an initial suspicion and persisting with a way in. No one came out to see me though! TFTC.

Third and final find on a short bike ride to open my account for November and finish off this new series. Thanks

Interesting little hide here. Took a few minutes. I never knew about this park before finding a cache here a few years ago. TFTC.

Finishing off this series for a Saturday afternoon bike ride. Easy one here. Thanks.
