Logs for Winyipp

04-Nov-08
Second time I have looked for this local cache. The last time, my TomTom would only bring me to the road. This time, used the Garmin, lead me to the wrong piece of equipment but some quick thinking soon had the cache in my hand. Then had to wait while my son and some other kids played until I could slip it back.

Logbook is almost full (one page left from memory)

This is the second of two of Harlip's caches found today. Both within easy walking distance from home. From the location of this cache I am guessing we are almost neighbours.

Took: Green Halloween toy

Left: retractable key clip
TB The Old State Line (which really needed to get back into circulation).

Thanks for the fun afternoon, my son is enjoying "treasure hunting"

This was close to home, so I decided it would be a good start to dust off the caching skills. Went for a walk this evening, found around 9.30pm. Much easier find in the evening I am sure.

As this was the closest cache to home and I was going out for a walk anyway decided it was a must find.

After reading the comment on the maths, I didnt fall into this trap! David had a play at the park while I was working out the final co-ordinates.

Wandered up there and after a quick search found the Cache (the tea towel helped)!

Took Christmas Earrings, left melt!

Number 4 for today. After the thunderstorms came through we were going to call it a day, but this one was so close to where we were and we had just been disappointed by "Coal Miners Daughter" so we decided to give this a shot. After driving the lonnnng way round we got close to GZ and headed off for a walk. For the first time ever the cache was exactly where I thought it would be.

David fell in love with the Mr Man McToy, so we took this and left a dolphin magnet (not quite a soft toy, but I am sure he will be friendly with the others)

Didnt find it today, and didnt have my PDA with me, only a printout. For anyone looking for this READ THE LOGS, especially chookies.

Third find for today. Autorouting on the GPS brought me nicely to the end of the road for this. A short walk to GZ. Wendy went about hunting for the cache while I chased David around and stopped him trying to walk off the cliffs. We swapped roles, me searching, Wendy chasing David and for the first time ever I found something that Wendy couldnt (what is this about boys searches?).

Loved the views from here. This is becoming a good day for sightseeing as well.

Second find for the afternoon after a little misdirection from the GPS on getting there (never trust autorouting). Once out onto the correct road, a quick and easy find.

Took TB The Old State Line, will find it a new home over the next few days.

Wendy was blown away by the windmills having never seen a wind farm before

First find on a fun afternoon out. Love the views from this one. Contents are definitely damp but the log is still dry inside it's bag.

Fifth and final one for the day. We hunted for this on the way through and I decided I wanted just one more look on the way back. After decrypting the clue I was sure I was in the right spot. I was, I just needed longer arms.

Took rubber shark (another David favourite)
Left Whistle to find key ring.

Found it this afternoon. Thanks for a nice walk around a park I have been to for social events but never looked around. Easy find once I learnt to count

took: Bubblemix
left: Poupourri candle, funky chicken TB

After a wonderful walk enjoying the sites we arrived at GZ. Had to wait until some muggles moved on. Had a good look where we expected to find it, even resorting to the hint, but to no avail. Either a very well hidden cache or something worse...

06-Nov-04
Found it this evening around 6pm. Lots of muggles around and a little one in the car so we took turns searching. Ant was looking just off the right spot but Wendy found it easily.

Great little park, I must have driven past it tens of times when I worked in the area.

Took the Funky Chicken TB. Will find it a new home tomorrow or next weekend. Left a small keyring carabiner.

Thanks for the fun cache.

31-Oct-04
Found it this afternoon at around 4pm after some other business in the area. The GPSr lead us straight to the cache which Wendy found while I was playing with David in the Stroller.

Found GZ after driving all around the area. Searched the structure there even crawling underneath. Think I must have missed something obvious. Need to go back and take another look

Second find out of three attempts for the day. Nice walk around a familiar area, while seeing things I never stopped to look at before. Wendy recovered the cache quickly using David's strowler as cover (although it was not needed).

Wendy and I (Ant) just found our first Cache. Trying to look discrete using bubs in his stroller as a cover. Found it right where the GPSr said it would be. Filled in the log.
