Logs for birdkage
24-May-15
Fun cache on a trip to Narromine for great coffee. Good places to park off the road. TFTC
30-Dec-14
Mrfumbles and I went on a last minute road trip to our favourite National Park and it was great to finally stop and get this one while it was quiet in the area. Quick find - TFTC
21-Dec-14
Quick drive out while we are camping at the Bungles. Great lunch (especially the pizza) at The Bucking Bull Hotel TFTC and the new book

Now the heat is subsiding, GCing will again become a priority. First find for a while and what a beautiful day in Orange! TFTC
03-Jan-14
As I went to grab the cache, it unfortunately fell down the steep slope before I almost fell on the loose soil (it's now about 5m from it's coords). It's a camo case, so if someone is brave enough to venture down the slope, it should be easily found… sorry

Quick stop on the side of the road to grab this micro before heading down to the Murray. TFTC
Very happy Mrfumbles spotted this cache as the flies almost made us want to give this one a miss after the first look. But being persistent paid off and we had the cache before we knew it TFTC
25-Dec-13
Spent Christmas day climbing to the summit with Mrfumbles - couldn't have asked for a better Christmas present (well, perhaps a Ukulele… ) Mrfumbles spotted this one first before we headed back down the mountain to warm up. We climbed to the summit through snow in winter 2013 and couldn't find the cache then, so it was unfinished business to get here again and log it this time TFTC
24-Nov-13
We decided to go up over the rocks to find this cache, when approaching from the back would probably have been a lot easier (especially in sandals… ) We found it easier enough in the end though TFTC
Fantastic piece of history! Would be great if this was part of a series with a cache at the graveyard in Dubbo TFTC

GOT IT!! After going to the site a couple times with no success (… I'm not sure why) I finally had the cache in hand this time. TFTC
03-Nov-13
Mrfumbles found it, then lost it, then I retrieved it via the wheat and thistle... Lovely place for a quick stop TFTC
I was slightly hesitant (aka, not freaking out) about driving down the dirt track, but we made it in the end. Found the dead, got the cache... small hands were an advantage TFTC
Mrfumbles' graceful (and much appreciated) ascent resulted in cache in hand very quickly! TFTC
With a step on a bolt and an extra effort reach, was able to grab this one with vocal encouragement from Mrfumbles. TFTC
Easy stop under the mistletoe on our way home via the scenic route. TFTC
23-Oct-13
Coords jumped around a little, but up we went to grab the cache and a couple of embedded prickly pears (note to self: don't wear sandals when GCing... ) TFTC
Found on the way home from a quick afternoon adventure at the lake. Beautiful spot to watch the sunset and to grab my 100th cache with Mrfumbles. TFTC
A quick find with Mrfumbles despite local muggles keeping a careful watch over the GZ. TFTC
Was a bit overgrown to see a good view of the lake, but a lovely spot near the dam wall. TFTC
19-Oct-13
Found this one with Mrfumbles (well... kinda) on an adventure back from Coolah Tops National Park. TFTC

Went out this morning to grab this one, but with the recent rain and wind, the container has been blown past the fence on to private property. Would have jumped over to grab it, but there was a farmer watching me on the property next door.

Mrfumbles and I decided to do a quick Sunday afternoon hike and Burrabadine Peak seemed the obvious choice - the opportunity to get a cache on the way up was also very appealing. We climbed the peak first (had plenty of water and stamina to get up there) and went a little off the path for a quick find of the cache, which is in great condition, especially given it hasn't been found for a year. The view was great, the road a little bumpy on the way in. Definitely recommend taking the southern entrance to the national park if you're 2WDriving it! TFTC
Grabbed this one on the way home from a trip to the snow with Mrfumbles. There were a couple muggle bird watchers as we arrived, but after a quick introduction to GCing, we caught sight of the cache, signed the log and this bird left the watchers to a peaceful afternoon.

Loved the history of this one. Great location and a beautiful spot especially with the surrounding golden fields! TFTC
Legs not quite long enough to easily step up to this one, but with a little help from Mrfumbles, the cache was soon in hand
Got this one driving home from a trip to the alps. Tilted my head down slightly and quickly spotted the cache! TFTC
13-Sep-13
Wasn't fast enough scrambling up the rocks to get this one before Mrfumbles, but was pretty satisfied by the beautiful view of the falls!
What a beautiful walk around the lake! The dam wall was the best part. Was a bit wet getting off track a couple of meters to grab this one, but always worth it TFTC
Beautiful spot by the lake! The cache hiding spot caught my eye quickly so was an easy find after enjoying some Mt Beauty breakfast.
Grabbed this one on the way to Bogong. Was able to get up to the GZ to grab the cache and Mrfumbles gave me a hand to jump down. Looking forward to coming back and getting the series of caches along the fire trail TFTC
Mrfumbles and I followed the dirt road by foot and then went cross country down to the river... a few minor scratches has never hindered the pursuit for a cache and this one was soon in hand. TFTC

Grabbed this one on a trip down to Sydney -- retrieval skills were employed and with some twiggy technology, the cache was in hand. TFTC

Quick morning grab. Bumped into a couple people on the spooky trail, so recommend not doing this one on your own. TFTC
