Logs for chezannette

A nice easy standard one after a real head-scratcher for us new geo-cachers.
What fun! First time around, we, very 4 very new geocachers, bashed around in the flax bushes, picked up lots of rubbish, and watered the tree with our two litres of water. Got in the car, and on the way home, started talking about what we'd seen at the site -- then it dawned on us. So it was back in the car with more water and BINGO ! It does help to talk more at the site about where we think something might be.....and not to have any preconceived notions. Thank you for an enjoyable morning!

Went back for a second look, but couldn't find it. Coordinates put us in a place and we looked -- a la the hint, but still couldn't find. First time we looked, a couple was camping behind the building (!) which was quite a surprise.
Found it with MargeNeil after crawling around several logs. Coordinates seemed off a bit. We did like the camo attachment, but lid was broken. We turned it so hopefully rain could not get in. Wish we'd had a plastic bag to protect it a bit.

Good one ! So good not to have to worry so much about muggles as we poked around. And we found it easily.
So excited that we figured out the clues (thought they were not as clear as could have been, or maybe we were a bet dense... ! AND found the cache! Found with MargeNeil as we took them on our South Island tour. Had a few laughs over the tangled place we had to step to find it.
We think the whale "rib" has been either repaired or chopped down.... Can the person who made the cache check it out? Looking with MargeNeil, evening and morning.

We must be stupid or have blinders on, -- we couldn't find this one. Thought maybe the rocks fell into the lake! Sure wish we knew where it was.....

MargeNeil and I took a long hike along the lake path and road, stopping to check coordinates. We got lots of exercise, but couldn't find the cache. I'd hand-written the clues from the website, but missed the one about the ROAD being a PATH....that would have helped..... Maybe next time I'm travelling and in Manipouri.

Loved this one! It made us stop at a place we'd always thought was intriguing, but had never gone into! Now it'll be a regular stop on South Island Tour. Found with MargeNeil. Nice things inside. We took a little stuffed dog to travel with us as we went around the island -- named him "Geo-Dog" and have been taking his photo with other caches. He will do some long distance travelling in the near future and land in a new country.
Poked around several tussocks, but couldn't find this one. And couldn't look any more when a bus disgorged trampers to come up the track right by us.
A glorious day with lots of bungy jumpers to watch and views to take photos of while we geocached. Eagle-eyed husband spotted this one before I could get to the spot.

Husband helped spot this one as I had walked too far. One of our usual walks yielded a find for this new cacher!

How wonderful for a new cacher to find a cache on one of her favorite beaches! A bit of a scramble, but with MargeNeil helping, and with pretending to take artsy photos, we found it.

So excited to find this one -- found with MargeNeil who took a travel bug from it to take back to U.S. with them. We left a travel bug that they had brought from U.S. -- one which had started in Denmark and wanted to get to NZ. It is sitting there and wanting to have a photo with a Maori New Zealander.... So happy-looking if you are reading this BEFORE searching.
Coordinates seemed to be a few feet (our feet) away from the cache, but we found it with persistence.

My FIRST GEOCACHE FIND ! Found with MargeNeil on their first day of visiting us in NZ. We were so excited -- and prompted to search for more.
Has this been moved again? Or has the item in the clue been removed? We checked several of them out, but could not find one we thought would house cache.
