Logs for onedude
04-Feb-15
A nice quick find on a fairly hot day - the hardest bit was removing the log! I refolded the log so removal will be easier for the next cacher. TFTC and greetings from England!

Whoops - tried to reach this from up high and wondered why it looked like a precarious adventure to ground zero. Perhaps next time...
Spotted the cache site, but had to wait for a horde of elderly muggles to pass. Then, I pounced, and the cache was in my hands. A lovely spot for a quick break and a photo. TFTC and greetings from England! TNLNSL.
After looking at the photos I discovered my GPS had deceived me. Like this cache a lot. Found a few similar before but this is the best of its kind. Especially like the way it's been painted!! TFTC and greetings from England.
A nice quick find. Lovely view. A walk I probably wouldn't do without geocaching. TFTC and greetings from England!
Enjoyed watching a beautiful sunset, and then listening to some harmonica on the beach below. No TBs - it'd be smashing if the owner could mark them as missing (you can do that!). Cache was very well hidden - "deep behind enemy lines", one could say! TFTC and greetings from England.
A nice cemetery with lovely views. Cache was located fairly quickly thanks to the detailed hint. TFTC and greetings from England!
Looked and looked but no success... Guess I'm not seeing the wood from the trees... Oh well! Greetings from England!

Log book very full - was almost impossible to sign. Signed beneath "27/8/13 18sinoho" and "24/11/13 m+s72". TFTC and greetings from England!
Took a while to work out how to get to the cache! Nice hide, lovely location, TFTC and greetings from England!
I got my Gold Duke of Edinburgh award back in the UK (I did my expedition in Snowdonia, Wales) - good to see that the programme is over here too. The ascent was quite slippery as it had rained the night before - I've no doubt the descent will be "fun" too! TFTC and greetings from England. Left geocoin.
The location was a bit of a challenge to find - I asked some local military about "Embarkation Park" and they had no clue. It's on top of the car park, as the GPS suggests. Access is via Oak Lane / Grantham Street. Once the park was located it was a fairly quick find. From the looks of the container it's important to place it the correct way up to ensure it's water resistant. TFTC and greetings from England!
Nice hide. Took a while to work out what the clue meant, then it clicked! Sheesh though, looking behind 25 million of them made no sense... Anyway, TFTC and greetings from England! Pencil is broken and needs sharpening. Left community volunteer geocoin.
There's only so much shoelace tying you can do when you're wearing slip-ons... Oh well... Greetings from England!
Perhaps a little tricky to find, but nothing unexpected given the urban location. TFTC and greetings from England!
Thanks for the earthcache. Found all the answers fairly straightforwardly - very appreciated. Greetings from England!
Container is missing its lid. A nice quick find. TFTC and greetings from England!
Nice little cache! After a reasonable amount of time looking at the wrong thing, I took a seat and victory was mine. TFTC and greetings from England!
I chose the Arthor Conan Doyle plaque because he wrote the adventures of sherlock holmes, which then inspired the TV series "Sherlock" (by the BBC, from England) and "Elementary" (from "over the pond" in the USA). My girlfriend and I are great fans of both shows so it's only natural that I nominate him. TFTC - a great place to visit.

Spotted the cache fairly quickly but had to wait a while for a muggle to move. As per the previous logs, the log book is full - have attached a photo to prove I found it. TFTC and greetings from England!
Had a fairly long hunt, but sadly no joy. Phone / GPS was being decidedly inaccurate. I suspect it's there, just that I can't find it. Oh well. Greetings from England!
Super stealth used - I had a "rummage in my bag" and found the cache. Nice hide in s fairly straightforward location. TFTC and greetings from England!

Straight forward find once the right location (as per the hint) was identified. TFTC and greetings from England!
Like the poetic hint! A nice fairly straight forward cache. TFTC and greetings from England!
GPS was all over the place but we were able to find this one in the end. TFTC and greetings from England!
Thanks for the earth cache! I found this with a bird of a feather. It took a while to work out that we needed to double back and return to the fork for number 4. Other than that, a simple and fun cache. TFTC and greetings from England!
Wet and moulding log. A nice easy find. Beautiful location! Stopped on the picnic bench for lunch after the (very!) hot and sweaty climb up. Bridge still washed away but river was very low so the crossing wasn't a problem. TFTC and greetings from England!

Suspecting this was muggled, empty drink bottle and fag lighter was found at GZ, along with a tree that matched the hint and a plastic food bag, the sort which may hold a log book. A local contractor confirmed that we were at the correct location. Shame... TFTC!
Spot the engineer!! Very clever cache container. Interesting location. TFTC and greetings from England!
No joy didn't want to poke around too much in a tree where we saw a dried up poo, I guess it could have been there but...
A tricky treck but taking the low road paid off over going direct. TFTC and greetings from England!
A bird of a feather went in and spotted a massive wasps nest, so I stayed well back (after an unfortunate incident in Spain involving a wasp and a rapid trip to a pharmacy). The cache was quickly found and the log signed. TFTC and greetings from England!
I spotted it but got a bird of a feather to go in for the retrieval, as she was wearing walking boots, whereas I was less sensible and wearing trainers. TFTC and greetings from England!
Nice little container. We did this as a park and grab. Log was small so initials only. TFTC and greetings from England!
While my GPS was playing silly games a bird of a feather shouted that the treasure was found. Quite a big container. TFTC and greetings from England!
After walking up the hilly footpath this was a fun and interesting find. The research to answer the questions was more challenging. Oh well TFTC and greetings from England!
Signed the intentions book over the swing bridge and enjoyed the short walk to GZ. Got mobbed by sandflies... TFTC and greetings from England!

Nice hide! GPS was playing funny games - but eventually it was sensible. We stayed on the floating backpackers (aqua packers) and are walking from Anchorage to Marahau today. A lovely clear sunny day for a walk in the Abel Tasman, possibly too sunny! TFTC and greetings from England!
I thought I was going to have to walk all the way down to the beach to find this one, but I spotted it when climbing up a short distance for my bag definitely easier to see from lower ground (but not substantially lower ground, mind). Thanks for the cache, a nice shady place for a rest when walking between Anchorage and Marahau. Greetings from England!
This was more "last step" for us... I was looking in all the wrong places but a bird of a feather found it quickly. A nice cache at the end of a good walk from Anchorage to Marahau. TFTC and greetings from England!
Container was very badly damaged and had a huge hole in - maintenance is most definitely required.

Another nice easy cache where the hint was not needed. GPS got me most of the way and geosense sorted the rest out. TFTC and greetings from England!
Sheesh, this was good fun!!! Clambered up the rocks with a bird of a feather - we both had two different strategies: the bird of a feather (with sandals) just splashed around whereas I had thick walking boots so was more careful about staying dry. It turns out the assumption I made of "I don't have grip anywhere" paid dividends on a couple of occasions, where my feet started sliding around like anything and I had to pull myself up using my hands. Thanks to the description this cache was fairly safe to get to - it was particularly helpful to have a good description of GZ because I didn't want to get my phone out to check the distance! Thanks for the adventure (oh, and the cache), and greetings from England! I'm definitely making this a favorite!
A lovely easy find - just what we wanted at this stage of our walk between Anchorage and Marahau. Didn't even need the hint - GPS was lovely and accurate and lead me straight to the cache site. TFTC and greetings from England!
Coords don't seem to be great - my GPS put the near end of the nearest footbridge as 26 - 36m away from GZ. Couldn't see anything at ground zero but accuracy plummeted at the undergrowth thickened. Oh well... Greetings from England!

Log book disintegrating but was just about able to sign. TFTC and greetings from England!
Another damp / disintegrating log book. Challenging find, after our first hunt and a sit on the nearby beach a bird of a feather climbed up and spotted it rapidly. TFTC and greetings from England!
Nice, well hidden cache. Innovative container! TFTC and greetings from England
