On our way to Melbourne we made the detour to pick up this cache, a quick find. All good with the cache TFTC
Thought we would go for a walk along the rail trail but after finding this cache the weather looked very ordinary again so we decided to retreat back to the car
After finding the other cache near here I was expecting this to be a quick find as well but no such luck. The hint made it pretty obvious where it should be so suspect it has disappeared. Thanks anyway for the cache
On the way to Melbourne we made a bit of a pit stop here so decided to look for the nearby caches. Walked up to the view which was quite good despite the wind.Cache was spotted quickly, all good with the cache TFTC

I had a bit of trouble following the track to GZ as the area has been burnt, looks like a bit of autumn burn off. With trees fallen down and no scrub, the track itself was only faint and the animal pads made it easy to get off track but by following the slight spur I got back on track. As I approached GZ I thought this is not looking good as the burn was particularly hot, sure enough the cache had been fried. I will let the CO know so they can decide what they want done it.TFTC and sorry to see it in that condition
We decided to explore the area and was surprised at how good the track was. Stopped at the place where the AAWT crossed the road then followed the walking track to the cache. Quite a pleasant walk, even put up a couple of deer on the way.Once we got to GZ the cache was soon found, all good with the cache TFTC
Today is the 6th anniversary of a very sad time for my wife and I so we decided to get out and enjoy the bush to take our minds of it. This place was a perfect place to do that, a great spot for a picnic and a couple of caches. We found the clues we need then headed off. Once at GZ, nothing was to be found so looking at the hint there was nothing around that fitted so we extended our search area and soon found something to match, bingo there it was.All good with the cacheTFTC now off to the next cache
After finding a nearby cache we walked to the hut to check it out. Definitely a nice place to camp but summer would be a better time to enjoy a dip in the river. After checking out the hut we looked for the cache. GZ was obviously out a little bit but by using the clue we soon came up with the cache, all good with the cacheTFTC Now to wander back to the car

Heading back out of Lakes Entrance we stopped to find this cache. After a short walk it was a quick find.TFTC
Spending a quiet day in lakes entrance, decided to pick up a couple of caches. This was the starting point for us so didnt need to sit down for a rest but found the cache anyway TFTC

Cache has been repaired and tweaked. Hopefully the wires are put in a way that people won't pull on them

Interesting history of the area, I wished I had more time to look about.Cache was found quickly, interesting container thats for sure.TFTC
Took the advice of the CO and drove in and parked near the dam. a quick find after the short walk.TFTC
Pulled over on the side of the road and went to look for cache. Found quickly and was surprised how dry the log was given that the clips on the side are broken. Was getting ready to leave when a local stopped by to make sure we were ok, very kind of him and nice to see there is still caring folk out there..TFTC
A day out caching lead us to this cache, I like these off the main road caches. Track was good despite the recent rain, at least I didnt have to worry about snakes as I made my way through the bushCache was good condition on the inside, a bit dirty on the outside with the signs of time.TFTC
Came to Woodside Beach to do some fishing but the water was so dirty I didn't bother. Went for a walk instead to find some caches.Yes the bridge has seen better days, despite the recent rains I was still able to get to the cache. The sticky velcro has already come off but its still in the spot so hopefully good for some time yetTFTC
Came to Woodside Beach to do some fishing but the water was so dirty I didn't bother. Went for a walk instead to find some caches.Interesting gateway, would be nice to know a bit of the history of the placeTFTC
Came to Woodside Beach to do some fishing but the water was so dirty I didn't bother. Went for a walk instead to find some caches. This cache still took awhile to find even though the coordinates were updated as the reading keep jumping about and the cache itself was still a bit away from GZ, luckily I had broadened my search.TFTC
Came to Woodside Beach to do some fishing but the water was so dirty I didn't bother. Went for a walk instead to find some caches. This was the first cache for the day and a good one to warm up on.Found quickly but had trouble getting the log out so wound it up a bit tighter when replacing itTFTC
Parked the car nearby to GZ but the GPS reading was all over the place so after going around in circles I finally found the direction I needed to go, was a fairly quick find after that.TFTC
14-Jul-24
Decided to refurbish the cache once I got it home as some components have deteriorated over the years. The wires have been rejoined and hopefully fixed into place so people don't pull on it. The tool has been revamped and it is stronger than before making the sweet spot bigger. Just repainting it at the moment but the cold weather is making it a slow process. Hopefully it will be back in place in another couple of weeks
13-Jul-24
We were in Sale early for a bit of shopping so had enough time to search for this cache. When it was first published I thought I knew where it was, sure enough when we got to GZ it was there. There has been at least 2 (to my knowledge) other caches placed here so hopefully this one remains in place for longer than its predecessors.TFTC

I was alerted to the fact that the wire on the cache was broken so I have removed it to repair. Hopefully I can get it fixed over the next few weeks.

I have been coming up to Mt Bogong for years but have never been down Eskdale Spur this far as I live in Gippsland and the quickest way for me to get to Cleve Cole hut is via the Long Spur. Being a member of the Mt Bogong club which take cares of Cleve Cole hut, I attended the annual working party this weekend which usually takes place on the Anzac weekend. When they asked for volunteers to go to Granite Flat carpark to take empty gas bottles and bring back full gas bottles, I thought it was about time I saw what most people have to do to access Mt Bogong. I had 2 packhorses with me (that is 2 young strapping fellows who needed a purpose to burn off excess energy) so after visiting the summit and having an early morning coffee we backtracked to Eskdale Spur and headed down to the cache. I guess we approached it from a different direction to most. Got to GZ then fanned out and soon found the cache. All good with the cache, ready for another snow season!TFTC

After swapping the empties for the full gas bottles we headed back up. Then we decided to visit Michell Hut as well so once we got to the hut and checked it out I headed out to find the cache, a quick find and then back to join the others. All good with the cache, ready for another snow season!TFTC

The 3 of us couldn't find it in a reasonable time so it was time to head back up again. Not sure that you can say this route is cheating, it is quicker to get to the top of Mt Bogong from here but it is quicker to get to Cleve Cole hut via the route that we take.TFTC

Had a bit of time up my sleeve today on my way home so stopped here to stretch the legs and break up the journey. Mind you this was my final cache for the day as time was marching on. Got to the coordinates and worked out roughly where the cache was. There could have been a few different spots but was lucky enough to choose the correct spot first upTFTC
Had a bit of time up my sleeve today on my way home so stopped here to stretch the legs and break up the journey.Nice views up here, defiantly worth the walk. The cache area was worked out so with a little scouting around a likely site was spotted and sure enough there it was. All good hereTFTC
Had a bit of time up my sleeve today on my way home so stopped here to stretch the legs and break up the journey. After working out the info needed a set off through the scrub as the bush has grown back quite thickly. Took me a bit of time to locate the cache! All good hereTFTC

After getting coordinates I found the eclipse tin but no details to go any further. I will try the CO to see what I missed

Traveling in the area and had a bit of time to fill, what better way than find a few caches.I approached this cache from the wrong direction but soon sorted out where I needed to be. Cache was spotted quickly, there was a bit of water in the container which I tipped out but the log was dry.TFTC
Traveling in the area and had a bit of time to fill, what better way than find a few caches.I thought I knew where this cache would be but missed it on the first sweep but soon had the themed cache in sight.TFTC

Wow what an amazing tree, I can see why it would be such a special place. The cache definitely had a bit of thought gone into it so a fav from me. Well done.TFTC
I had solved this problem some time ago and seeing I was in town decided to look for it. At first it looked a bit dicey but then I spotted it, however some nearby muggles meant I had to wait for a bit before retrieving the cache.TFTC
