Been busy and a bit lazy lately but experienced the thrill of the find yesterday. The rain helped keep all but cachers away so that was good. Thanks for another fun cache
29-Oct-06
Visited this cache twice this weekend with no success. Searched high and low. The GPS said we were there. We bowed to the heritage but to no avail. Did see a bush rat hiding in the wall and a little later a big black snake headed into the wall. Hmm.... I wonder what happenned to the bush rat. Be careful out there folks! Any clues?

Like others the obvious eluded me for 15 minutes or so while I wandered around the block but when I completed my circuit, I returned to the obvious.
Thanks Philma

Worked with Bainsworld last week and could not find it but went back yesterday as part of a stroll around this historic part of early Sydney with my partner. Thanks Philma, Great tour!

Having helped Bainsworld at lunchtime I was surprised to be in the area on official work duties the same afternoon so it made sense to "do the snap" while I was there! Called Bainsworld but his network was slow so dialed another friend and cacher DOSM who snapped us. Thanks dude!
Thanks Geo Monkeys

Yes as Bainsworld said did the first 2 legs with "David of Sound Mind" last night and then snuck back at lunchtime for the cache. Muggled a German tourist cacher on the way at the second point and then found him hot on my trail later so I had to rush my log entry. Karma!
Great spot for a cache took me to parts of the city I have never visited. Some people have the most interesting back yards. (only looked through the gate) Thanks Philma, cunning as always.

Amazing by the merest of coincidence a group of us from a 4wd club selected this area for of all things GPS practise weekend and I could not believe my luck when I discovered the recent vist. Made for a fantastic weekend and introduced some folks with GPS to the world of Geocaching. Great success. Thanks Swampgecko and others. Route66 to be continued.....

Thanks Swampgekko. Now this was a brisk early morning walk with an interesting trek through the bush at the end. LEft cat toy took SES pen (needs refill) Thanks again for another great cache.

Great view great hide! Took pliers left shark opener. Beautiful country recommend this area to anyone who enjoys the bush and it is close to Sydney. Thanks

Bainsworld and I are really enjoying our lunchtime geowalks around the city and this was no exception. Plenty of muggles about and a few muggle historians who held us up for a few minutes but it was a great Sydney day so it was all good. Good hide and good reminder of our past. Thanks Drunken Gunmen

Top little challenge made even more interesting by the need to fit all this in a lunch hour, but it can be and was done! Bainsworld had prepared the coordinate calculations on his trusty IPAQ. Well done Bainsworld, hey and congratulations on double figures.
This little chase was just like a free guided tour of an interesting part of Sydney.
Well done and many thanks Squires

Being a city worker I love these urban caches. Bainsworld and I, read up on this one over coffee, figured out our strategy and then took a stroll from the other end of the city. Thanks to the clues in previous logs we found this relatively easily. Lots of muggles about so I had to pretend I had a rock in my shoe to give me a cover to replace cache. Great hiding spot well done SWAG jord, Thanks.

Hmm Same GPS, different weekend and the point was about 15 metres further south but you know it didn't make any difference I still couldn't find the cache. Found a small ziplock bag, big enough to hold a log, found a number of short lengths of garden hose, found a bunch of plastic bottles but no cache. I wonder if it is still there. Hmm !!

Well we set out with high hopes, even took a new dry log in a plastic loktop bag, but to no avail we searched for 45+ minutes found lots of stuff but no cache, then it rained. Will try again but maybe we need a clue or two! Rex is the thought of someone dropping off a new dry log in a bag enough for you to give out a clue?
ps 5 days later I discovered I had picked up a tick from this visit, only noticed by an observant friend who saw it "growing" out of the side of my head

Ingenious, Well done Chaos, It was pretty funny to see two dudes in suits climb up a parking meter stand but then we remembered the triangle has two equal sides

[Our first cache, we picked one 6 klms from home, the GPS took us right to the spot and then we had to figure out the clue, took a few minutes but we found the cache, had a ball in a great location on a beautiful winters day] the comments about spiders helped
