Logs for twisted trio
02-Mar-09
Facinating walk, found a few relatives. Must make time to have a proper look on the otherside of the road next time we are passing through. Very clever hide. TFTC
Found this one in the dark and yet we were still dodging muggles. Must go back and visit this park in the day. Great spot though Thanks.
Did not know these walls were here. Great to see an effort being made to preserve our history. Picked up a TB here that was last seen near deloraine.
Circus is right. 8:45 on a Sunday night and round and round the cars just kept coming. I'm sure we must have looked very suspisious waiting patiently for a chance to not only grab but return as well. Beautiful spot to live though
Love these sculputers. Shame there is not an info board to explain there history as each one has a story to tell. This one depicts bushranger Richard Lemon holding up a traveller.TFTC
Couldn't resist stopping for this one while in Hobart. Used to bring the kids here to race billycarts down the hill a few years ago, not sure if it still happens though. Good to see a bit of vacant ground put to good use TCTF
12-Feb-09
Another FTF for us. This one is definetly well hidden from muggles. Luckily there were not many about today. This is such a great spot, thanks for the excuse to spend the day at the beach.
Second FTF for the day. Been here many times fishing and enjoying the beach and dunes. Nice and quiet today as school is back so not much trouble retreiving this one, could be tricky at holiday time though
11-Feb-09
Just a quick drive to check this one out. Took us a while to find it (never listen to kids when they tell you they looked there). No swaps yet so we thought we better get the ball rolling and leave something. TNLS TFTC
06-Feb-09
found it easily enough then spent the next 15 mins picking the buzzies off our shoes
Man thats one hell of a walk (not that we walked it), but it was much further than I thought it was going to be. Found it fairly quick but had trouble with the buzzies for the second time today.
Definetly no lawn mowing happening today. Great walk did not even know this track existed. TFTC
01-Feb-09
Went for a Sunday drive and couldn't resist the temptation of stopping to be the first to find. Bit tricky with the traffic but got there in the end. No swaps so we left a nice one for the next cacher. TFTC
25-Jan-09
Found this one bright and early on a Sunday morning, while all the muggles were sleeping off the night before (except a couple of council workers) Easy find thanks robtas
24-Jan-09
This one proved to be a bit tricky, found it easily but putting it back was another story. 9 cars pulled up (all at once) to look at the carvings. So we had to wait quiet a while to be able to return it. Found with Star Dance
Haven't been in here for ages. What a great place to stop and stretch the legs on a hot day. Very clever hide Thanks sirius
Unfortunatly no luck with this one today. Looked for it with Star Dance. I guess by the previous logs it's probably not there anymore. Great spot haven't been up there for about 30 years.
Always handy to have kids with you, they found the track in record time. What a great view, sadly we had no luck finding the cache but will have another look next time we in the area.
Nice easy find. Let the boy loose with the GPS for this one. He went round in circles for a while, but with a little help he finally found it. Clever hide.
Found this on our way to the coast. Left Green 4x4 Jeep Travel Bug, think he needs to see some more of Tassie. Thanks Jonno7264
13-Jan-09
Had a drive by this one a few weeks ago, and had no hope of looking for the muggles were everywhere. Had much better luck today, although it was a tricky find. Took nothing left green dice.
Found this one on a quick trip into town. Took Green Jeep travel bug, left a little spanner and an army man.
01-Jan-09
Great spot never been here before, will definetly be back. Bit of water in container but log book was fine. found this one with stardance on a very windy day.
Found this one with stardance on a very windy day (had trouble staying upright). The waves were great to watch crashing on the rocks. TNLN
Lots of surfers here today the conditions were great. Luckily they didn't create any probs for us retreiving this cache. Found this one with stardance. Thanks for the tour of a great area m mob
16-Dec-08
Quick easy early morning find. The view was magnificent, shame the trees are blocking the city view.
10-Dec-08
Didn't even get the chance to search. To many muggles eating lunch in this lovely section of park. Will try again at a more appropriate time
Stopped for a quick look on way to appointment. Great spot although the river was a bit on the nose. Nearly got caught by a bunch of small muggles in uniform.
Man this was much more difficult than it should have been. Got it ok round lunch time, but there was a party going on and they had just finished. So putting it back was impossible. Ended up having to take it for a short drive as we were looking very suspect sitting in the car waiting. returned it an hour later with no probs
01-Dec-08
Didn't have the gps with us today, but took a look anyway. Couldn't find WP1 ( will go back with gps another day) but found WP2 without to much trouble. Thanks for the hint. Left Find it Dorrie TB
I can see how possums would cause some grief if you do this one at night. We are not brave enough for a night time visit, midday much more to our liking. Found it fairly quickly with not much muggle activity
Found this one without to much trouble. Day was fairly cool so not to many ankle biters around. Not the sort of tiger I envisioned so pleasantly suprised when we found it. Thanks robtas
24-Nov-08
Only had time for one cache in Hobart before heading home. Late afternoon so the park wasn't to busy. Contents was quiet wet. Had a great time wandering around reading some facinating history.
23-Nov-08
A quick detour on our way to Hobart. Found it easily enough but had a lot of trouble putting it back. Muggles called in for a toilet stop so we had to wait
This one proved to be a bit tricky, the local muggles were gardening. Have driven past many times but this is the first time we have been through the town. Some lovely old buildings
Dropped in on way to Hobart. D zoomed in on the cache like a bee to honey, so the rest of us didn't even get time to look. Found Dorrie TB who was last seen in USA and is trying to get to Sydney, so we give her a helping hand
Luckily there were no teddy bears around today, so we found it easily. Went on to look at the lake and surrounds, still no bears but we did find a couple of wombats, a lizard, a possum and a couple of birds.
A few muggles about, but they didn't cause us to much grief. Found it easily enough. What a great hide we had a great time exploring
17-Nov-08
Found it this time, we were a long way off track last time. Did not know this lovely spot existed will definetly be back for a bbq and maybe a swing in the trees.
08-Nov-08
Stopped to look on our way home from the local show.Great walk. Almost got caught by a muggle walking his dog.
Popular is right. There was a couple of young muggles parking, we had to out park them in order to look for the cache.
Grew up in Hadspen but back then this part was still bush. Nice to go back and see all the changes. Great hide, nice to be able to get to the river easily, we used to have to climb through the blackberries
