Logs for karicka

15-Sep-23
When it became apparent that Rickard's time with us was growing short, it was important to many to show him what an influence he was on the caching community and so an event was organised in his honour, without actually saying it was in his honour. Very Rickard. At that event, in preparation for what was to come, the CO had Rickard sign a blank book that would become the log for this cache, hence enabling him to claim his final **FTF** 42 caching teams from all over SEQ attended to celebrate and enjoy the company of this wonderful man, a true testament to the amazing character he possessed. This cache marks his final find, a very impressive 30,241 caches and his 510th FTF.Vale Rickard! Dearly Loved and Sorely Missed.Posted with permission from his wife.

In Rickards final weeks, a plan was made to visit Toowoomba, with this cache being the primary reason. It's D/T was just too attractive. When it became obvious that plan was not going to come to fruition, the CO arranged to hand deliver the entire cache to Rickard in palliative care. By the time this happened, he had already slipped into a coma that he would never wake from. In his room, at St Vincent's, on a very emotional Sunday, Rickards mum signed the log on his behalf. With this log, Rickard completes his 40th D/T loop.Vale Rickard.B

Completed the lab this arvo. Being a Sunday afternoon, it was still hard to do the lab. Possibly due to the fact that my driver has a fear of parking.
With all the banks visited it was off the Bush for the final.
A good concept, well worthy of a fav point

Than you for this cache

Out for some of the new caches in the area.
A walk that was long enough for me in my current state.
Brought a couple of TOTTs just to have a back-up plan.

Quick find here, than you

Once upon a time there was a geocacher that really to find a cache up in a tree.
Being not in a good way he enlisted the ball of his sister and dear wife to help him accomplish this goal.

Hoping that is wasn't going to be his last find he went up the tree

Thank you for this cache

Completed the lab some time ago but failed at the final.

Logging this challenge as found, as agreed with CO.

It has been a good road to travel to achieve the requirements. All of the High Terrain attributes have been collected while I was just caching the way I love.

From now on there might be more of the final requirement for me
Thank you Bug for bringing up lots of good memories,
R

All good here

Thank you for hiding this geocache

Has been on the solve list for some time, and managed an escape for a log too.
Some of the Evil series has helped med loop, this one will just be support for a loop sometime in the distant future.
With #5 and #6 I had an opportuning to increase my 5/5 finds, always good and appreciated for whatever future challenges might appear on the geocaching map.

As mentioned, lower your elevation a bit and you will be rewarded

Thank you Bug, for everything

Back here for a second time.
The island has been turned into a boat storage since last in January.
Read up on previous logs and spotted rhe cable tie straight away

Climed up 2-3 steps and added my green bison replacement to the same branch.

Made it back to shore without mishaps.

Keep repeating the wise words, it's mostly about the people, then the places, and only then the caches.
