Logs for ChuckieBrnz

01-Sep-13
GeoTeen and I were a bit worried when we saw the log hadn't been filled out for a while, but the cache was soon in hand and we were on our way. TFTC!

Real quick find. Smile TFTC

Nice day for caching - happened to be down this way visiting my son at Somers Camp, so thought we'd stop for a quick cache. GeoTeen (Learner) parked up the road, going into a bit of a boggy ditch. Glad we brought the Geo4WD!!!

GeoCaching down in Somers with GeoTeen daughter after a visit with my son on Somers Camp we did a bit of a detour to get to this cache. Gorgeous area, lovely little country road! Different way to leave a cache, too. Although the log was a little ripped we still managed to put down our details. TFTC.

Despite the previous logs we decided to have a crack. Need a 4' pole with magnet.

Awesome camo. TFTC.

Found wif the geokids. Did a complete maintenance on the cache as it was saturated. Log is still OK, but all else replaced. Smile TNLN

Took The Empire's advice and took the 4WD option. TFTC.

GeoTeen walked straight passed giving me no. 2 out of 3! Took koala, left baby koala. TFTC.

Nice quick find out caching wif GeoFamily. TFTC.

03-Aug-13
On a trip across this way, my old stomping ground, and couldn't help but search for a cache. This was a relatively easy find (I must stop using the hints), and the cache was easily seen once at GZ. After reading the story (very well written, I must say) about this cache I decided to drop a geocoin off to go for a swim, thinking he'd be safe here for a while... what with it being illegal fishing and all...

Signed log and covered cache up a bit better. Also saw a fishing tackle box just up the road (actually thought it might have been the cache, but) it had nine sets of keys in it! Knowing Monbulk Police would NOT be open on a Saturday afternoon, drove to Mt Evelyn Station, which was also closed. Called 000 (who else could I call?) to be told that Lilydale was open 24/7, so headed over there. Handed in the box. Signed that I really didn't want it if not claimed! Hope it gets picked up!

TFTC. Loved the story, Paul.

Fairly easy find, spotted at GZ from the car! Signed log and tried to cover it up a bit better. TNLN. TFTC.

Ah, helps if the GPS is working properly! Nice easy find today wif non-registered GoeDaughter. TNLN. TFTC.

Was a bit worried this had been muggled, considering the other rubbish in the area, including a home made bong! After a bit of searching I did find it. Looks in good condition after its maintenance, well done. Not what I originally expected, but a GREAT camo.

OMG! Not even hidden when I came past this morning Sad
On my way in to the city unexpectedly, dropped off a TB needing to go overseas. TFTC. Replaced a bit better.

I must remember to learn how to read a map. I was WAY off, not trusting my phone's GPS. Then I had another look at the map and quickly had the cache in hand. Nice little cache, though a bit of condensation inside may threaten its integrity. I dried it off with my pants (still haven't put tissues in my little box of trix), signed the log and replaced it. TNLN. TFTC.

Unfortunately the 'dry weather only road was LOCKED. Too cold (& lazy) to walk it, will try another day...

A nice little cache. After a DNF with GeoTeen on a trip into Heidelburg we thought this one was nearly going to be another DNF. An empty hook made us think the cache had been muggled, but... sneaky! Signed the log (had to run back to the car as we'd left the pen out of our little box of trix) and replaced cache. Definitely need a high vis vest so muggles don't become suspicious - I just pretended I was doing up my shoe.

Found with JosiieBrnz after failing to find another nearby cache. Took a trackable, went to the car to check its mission and returned it again. The pommy thong (aka flip flop) wants to go overseas. Fair nuff. TFTC. TNLN.

Had made a Gumtree.com purchase just up the road and thought we'd do a spot of caching. First we had a car parked at the corner and, being dark, we were fairly obviously up to no good. When they finally moved along we searched to no avail... Back at the car it had been 15 minutes. Hmmm, is this still here?

Obviously tried to access this one from the wrong side, but the 4WDing was a bit of fun! Will have to try the other side another day when I don't have to be in Heidelburg.

Lucked out on this one, in the absence of GeoTeen and with the pressure of non-Goe hubby waiting for me I kina gave up. Will be back at a later date with a GPS me thinx.

22-Jul-13
There is still plenty of room in the log, but it is getting a bit tattered. Doesn't help with the marble & chook in there, but not mine to remove...

I was with GeoTeen JosiieBrnz some months ago (before I became addicted) so an easy find. Not really micro tho. TFTC. TNLN.

Again, thought I was in the right place, but site looked like it had been muggled Sad. After reading other logs soon had it on hand. Glad to see GoeTeen JosiieBrnz's earlier visit drop of coins has all been acquired Smile

Sick of reaching fingers and limbs into spider web infested sites I overlooked this one, then came back for an easy find. TFTC. TNLN.

21-Jul-13
On our way home from NSW road trip with GeoTeen JosiieBrnz remembered we couldn't access this one on the way up, so stopped for a let stretch. My phone was dead, so had to rely on GeoTeen's directions, hmmm. Tried to look up clue, but got wrong answer - it is not Stand By Me! GeoTeen finally put her internet browsing expertise to good use and came up with the CORRECT clue, which helped immensely. As did the sitting in the car, reading through past logs.

Finally returned to GZ for a REALLY good look and, well, WOW! Great Camo. Brilliant, I must say. I did the usual "Whoopeee" and raced back to MY car to get a tool too. Even managed to get a war wound from this one, but at least it wasn't a matter of sticking my hands/fingers in dark holes attempting to make war with spiders and their webs!

Awesome cache. Added as a fave.

Very good. After JosiieBrnz & I spent a while looking, reading, searching, we were nearly ready to leave. Muggles arrived so we sat in the car for some more pondering. I decided to go it alone and, after a bit of thought it became quite obvious and was soon in hand. I now wait in the car while GeoTeen tries... Lol.

Sick of feeling for spider webs, I let tall GeoTeen JosiieBrnz grapple. Hint gave it away. Nice place to stop - saw both a steam train and Electric one pass on the track. Didn't scream at these ones this time, unlike another cache on the way up to NSW.

It was a good stop, the stretch encouraged GeoTeen to keep driving ('L'earner).

TFTC.

I put the 'GEOCACHE SITE - PLEASE READ' in a ziplock bag as I think that's what's making everything wet. Needs replacing soon, as it's getting hard to read. Wink

Nice cold morning, last one in Pambula before heading home to Vic, really wanted to drop my second trackable to start its journey where I'd like to be living Sad.
Cache was a bit wet, so sat and dried it out as best I could. Must remember to pack some tissues in my GCing kit. Cache may need some TLC soon, don't think it's sealing properly.

Nice quick walk (run) down to GZ. Seemed like the obvious spot to find a cache, but still took some searching before we had it in hand. TNLN. TFTC.

Dropped first trackable. Hope he can catch a plane overseas somewhere...

Logbook full so put a new one in. Cache now a bit tight, might need a touch of maintenance...

JosiieBrnz found for us. TFTC

Nice cache drive by. Looked in all the obvious places, which didn't house the cache, and then GeoTeen told me it was difficulty 4. WHAT? We're supposed to be back in Melbourne tonight. Oh well. Kept looking and, after exhausting all the obvious places, spotted it quite quickly. Not sure it is where it's meant to be... but replaced it so it wasn't easily visible. TFTC. Took Ice Claw Pendant to travel with my new Blue Ice TB Smile

On our way from NSW to home, stopped as 'L'earner GeoTeen's back started getting sore. All shops were shut, so decided just to do a quick driver swap when GeoTeen suggested we check for caches. Well, with one only 4m from where we were parked, who could resist. At first read GeoTeen thought it was out of action, but I checked my phone (difference between Android and Windows app....) and decided to give it a quick check. Seemed OK to me! SO glad my phone was charged enough to unplug and use the GPS. I think I'm getting used to seeking out caches, as I soon had it in hand.

GeoTeen demanded I leave one of my (many) trackables, so left Ubu the cat. Maybe she'll get some yummy food from the Bakery...

Off to find the other cache in this area - also unfound by a previous GCer.

TFTC!

20-Jul-13
After scrabbling about in the bush for a while, JosiieBrnz finally found the hidden treasure - a great idea for this spot. Grabbed a couple of TBs and dropped one off. TFTC, all still in good order.

Felt like a 4WD adventure, thanx. Drove past as we lost mobile service, but made it all the more fun! TFTC. Left odi to chill out as it started to rain. Turns out it was hailing! Well, it is the middle of winter I guess.

Nice one. TFTC

Nice to know a bit of history about places - why I love GCing. TFTC & info.

Easy fond with JosiieBrnz.

Nice spot. Easy find with JosiieBrnz. TFTC.
Oops! Took the pencil, but came back and returned it Smile

Nice hide. Lotsa muggles around, but after reading the other logs JosiieBrnz found it for us. We just kept pretending to be REAL interested in GZ. Well, it is kinda interesting. TFTC.

18-Jul-13
Was keen to do one GC in Bairnsdale, but as we drove through town two police cars passed us. Approaching GZ there were a couple of uniformed on the site, and police cars everywhere. Will have to try this for one on the way home. Sad

Despite the muggles picnicking nearby, JosiieBrnz discovered it for us. TFTC

First find on a road trip with its creator JosiieBrnz. No help from geoteen, but found easily. BYO pen now. Hid a bit more. TFTC
